SMART PARKING SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION

 A Smart vehicle parking is a system that helps


driver to find a vacant spot for parking in each
parking space.

 This is achieved by their mobile phone


application or web application which shows
the presence or absence of vehicle.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

 With increase in population,gradually increases


number of vehicles and due to unmanaged
parking it leads to many problems.

 In metro cities,people faces difficulties due to


increased number of vehicles creates
congestion,wastage of space and time and
traffic problems etc.
OBJECTIVES
 To simplify the parking system as well as the
vehicle security.
 To design a system that parks a number of
vehicles with least possible space.
 To develop a mobile application and web
application which shows a parking space and
also allows the user to pre book the parking
space.
 To add google maps to the application which
shows the parking space at peak timings.

 The parking slots are fixed with IR sensors
which detect the vehicle.
 These sensors are interfaced with development
board which is the gateway for parking.
 The information of the parking slots is updated
on the cloud.
 And the information about the parking slot is
used by the user through the application

 Accurately predict and sense spot/vehicle
occupancy in real-time.
 Guides residents and visitors to available parking.
 Optimize Parking Space Usage
 Simplifies the parking experience and adds value
for parking for drivers and merchants
 Help traffic in the city flow more freely leveraging
IoT technology.
 Enables intelligent decisions using data, including
real–time status applications and historical analytics
reports
 Plays a major role in creating better urban
environment by reducing the emission of CO2 and
other pollutants
