    Pengertian Question Tag

    Question tag adalah suatu kata atau ungkapan


    yang digunakan oleh seseorang untuk
    memberikan pernyataan yang diminta orang lain
    yang di ajak bicara, setuju atau menyetujui
    dengan pendapatnya
     Apabila pernyataannya positif (positive statement),
    maka tag nya negatif (negative tag)
    Contoh:
    Positive Statement (+) Negative Tag (-)Meaning
    She is Jenna , isn’t she? Dia Jenna, kan?
     Apabila pernyataannya negatif (negative statement),
    maka tag nya positif (positive tag)
    Contoh:
     Negative Statement (-)Positive Tag (+)Meaning
    Bimo doesn’t like chips, does he? Bimo tidak suka
    keripik, kan?
     Kata “Not” dalam Negative Tag harus disingkat

    Negative words (kata negatif)
    Beberapa kata berikut terlihat seperti pernyataan
    positif. Tetapi sesungguhnya kata-kata berikut
    memiliki arti/makna negatif. Kata-kata tersebut
    memiliki arti tidak pernah, jarang, hampir tidak,
    tak seorang pun. Beberapa kata tersebut,
    diantaranya:
    – Never
    – Seldom
    – Hardly
    – Rarely
    – Barely
    – Scarcely
    – Nothing
    – Nobody/No one
     Jika subjeknya nobody, no
    one, somebody, someone, everyone,
    maka menggunakan tag ‘they‘.
     **Jika subjeknya nothing dan everything,
    maka menggunakan tag ‘it‘.
     Jika kalimat perintah menggunakan tag
    “will you?”

    David: Hey, mate, you've just won a physics competition, haven't
    you?
    Zack: Yeah, wait, how do you know?
    David: Well, my girlfriend told me.
    Zack: Huh, your girlfriend? I don't suppose she knows me, doesn't
    she?
    David: Oh, she knows you quite well.
    Zack: I don't know many female friends.
    David: Really? how about Tiara Ferreira? you know her, don't you?
    Zack: Wait, really? you're Marry’s girlfriend. You aren't kidding, are
    you? She's a model.
    David: Exactly, well, it hurts, doesn't it? knowing that your former girl
    is with someone like me.
    Zack: Not really, she ain't that special.
