Differentiated Instruction- framework of
philosophy for effective teaching that
involves providing all the students within
their diverse classroom community of
learners a range of different avenue.
(According to learning styles and student
needs)
1. Content- the teacher may differentiate a
content by designing activities for groups
of students that cover different areas of
bloom taxonomy
2. Process- how material in lesson is
learned may be differentiated based on
their learning style. Ex. Most students
may prefer to read, others may prefer
to listen or other acquire knowledge by
manipulating objects.
3. Product- what students produce at the
end lesson to demonstrate mastery. Ex.
Based on students skill levels, teacher
may assign students to complete mastery
of an educational concept (writing a
report), or in a method the student prefer
(composing an original song about the
concept) or building a 3 dimensional object
that explains mastery of the lesson.
4. Environment- includes the physical
layout of the classroom, space utilization,
environmental elements such as lightings,
flexibility of furniture arrangements,
ventilation and overall atmosphere of the
classroom and areas for quiet individual
work as well as for group work and
collaboration.
