A Truthful Boy

Juan was alone at home. His mother and sister

went to the dentist. His father was still in his
office. So Juan played with his dog. He ran
after his dog, and his dog ran after him. Juan
ran so fast that he ran against the table in the
middle of the sala. The table was knocked
down. The flower vase was on the table was
broken. How frightened Juan was! He picked
up the broken pieces and put them on the
table.
Soon Mother and Pacita arrived. Pacita saw the
broken vase first.
“Mother, look! The vase is broken,” said Pacita.
“Who broke it?” asked Mother.
“Perhaps the cat,” said Pacita.
Juan heard what Pacita said. He went to Mother
and said, “It is not fair to blame the cat. I broke the
vase, Mother, I’m sorry”.
“It’s good you told the truth. Next time, be careful.”
