A Truthful Boy
Juan was alone at home. His mother and sister
went to the dentist. His father was still in his office. So Juan played with his dog. He ran after his dog, and his dog ran after him. Juan ran so fast that he ran against the table in the middle of the sala. The table was knocked down. The flower vase was on the table was broken. How frightened Juan was! He picked up the broken pieces and put them on the table. Soon Mother and Pacita arrived. Pacita saw the broken vase first. “Mother, look! The vase is broken,” said Pacita. “Who broke it?” asked Mother. “Perhaps the cat,” said Pacita. Juan heard what Pacita said. He went to Mother and said, “It is not fair to blame the cat.
