The key takeaways are that the document discusses different types of heavy earth moving machinery (HEMM) used in construction and mining operations including dumpers, drills, rock breakers, dozers, excavators, loaders and LMV. It provides details on the specifications and technical aspects of these machines.

The different types of heavy earth moving machinery discussed are dumper, drill, kobelco rock breaker, dozer, excavator, loader and LMV.

Some of the specifications of dumpers discussed are the models from BEML, Komatsu and CAT, their engine details like Cummins 6C inline and Komatsu 6C inline, capacity of 60 tons, power output and other technical details.

Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)

 In IC Engine, exhaust gas recirculation is a nitrogen oxide emission reduction

technique.
 EGR works by recirculating a portion of an engine cylinders. This dilute the O 2 in the
intake and provides gases inert to combustion to act as absorbents of combustion heat
to reduce cylinder temperature.
Turbocharger
 It is a turbine driven, forced
induction device that increase
an I.C. engine efficiency &
power o/p by forcing extra
compressed air into the
combustion chamber.
 Air compress mean O2
molecules are packed closer
together.
 Used in diesel engine to
improve volumetric efficiency
by increasing density of intake
gas allow more power per
cycle.
Torque Convertor
 It is a type of fluid coupling which transfer rotating motion from prime
mover to a rotating driven load.
 It is locate between engine flexplate and the transmission
 Characteristics – ability to multiple torque when output rotational speed is
so low that it allow fluid coming off the curved vanes of the turbine to be
deflected off the stator while it is located against its one way clutch, thus
providing the equivalent of reduction gear.

Why screw compressor used ?
 They deliver air continuously for required purpose mean having constant flow.
 Well function at extreme weather condition.
 Generate more power that the typical equipment.
 Easy to maintain.
 Compression ratio is high roughly 2 to 20.
 Smooth, pulse-free air output in compact size with high output volume over a long time.
 Generate less heat in operation in compare to other.
 100 % run of time.
Down the hole (DTH) Drilling
DTH drilling is to drive the hammer which is behind the drill bit by compressed air via the
drill pipe. The piston strikes the bit directly, while the hammer external cylinder gives
straight and stable guidance of drill bit. This makes the impact of energy is not lost in
joints and allowing much deeper percussion drilling.
 Suitable for big hole of hard rock.
 For hole diameter 100-254 mm.
 Drill depth limited by back pressure only(upto several kilometers).
 Adapt to hard rock and rock formation condition.
 Use pressurized air for slag flushing.
 Highly efficiency in hard rock drilling and best straightness.

blade is a heavy metal plate on
the front of the tractor, used to
push objects, and shove sand,
coal and Flyash.
An "S-U" (semi-U) combination
blade is shorter, and has less
curvature and smaller side
wings. This blade is typically
used for pushing piles of large
