    Europe in 1944
    • M4 Sherman is believed by U.S. officers
    to be superior to all tanks owned by
    germans. But the assumption was
    false. Nine weeks after the allied
    landing on the coast of Normandy and
    a series of battles in France, m4
    Sherman's performance was far under
    expectatioNo better than a tiger. No
    better than a panther. Even the 4th
    type of panzer is considered superior
    to an m4 Shermanns. Only the amount
    and removable alone makes a plus for
    an m4 Sherman.

    initiative in the development of m26 pershing
    The early history of the development of m26 Pershing actually dates back to 1942.
    Where at the time the United States army had a plan to perfect m4 Sherman in
    anticipation of the growing war in Europe they obviously needed a better tank
