6 Description of content: This proposed rule proposes to amend the Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (National
. List) regulations to enact recommendations submitted to the Secretary of Agriculture (Secretary) by the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) during public meetings
held on 6 - 8 May 2002, in Austin, Texas, and 27 – 29 March 2007, in Washington, DC. Consistent with the NOSB recommendations, this proposed rule proposes to add
38 substances, along with any restrictive annotations, to the National List regulations.
