KNOW ABOUT ADANI GODDA PROJECT Led By Adani Group , Adani Godda Project has gained significant attention, as it is one of the important thermal project which has the capacity of 1600 MW and will also be helping to strengthen geopolitical relationships between Bangladesh and India. It is aimed at establishing a thermal power plant and a captive coal mine in the Godda district of Jharkhand, India. It is focused on illuminating various parts of Bangladesh with the power it will generate, so far, these areas have been mostly deprived of power supply or it has been irregular. Primarily, the objective of the Adani Godda Project is to set up a 1,600-megawatt (MW) thermal power plant. This is in addition to a captive coal mine to fuel the plant’s operations. The power plant is expected to provide electricity to Bangladesh through a dedicated transmission line. Thereby, it will be promoting cross-border energy trade and regional cooperation. The captive coal mine would ensure a reliable supply of fuel to the power plant. By doing so, it will reduce dependency on external sources. Employment and Economic Benefits: One of the major advantages of the Godda project is its potential to generate employment. By doing so, it will boost the local economy. The project is expected to create thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities. They will be facilitated during the construction phase and in ongoing operations.
