SIGNAL WORDS

- are used in giving an order of the directions.


These are called sequence words. These are
the word that signal what is the next step to follow.
They are use in giving
three to four steps directions.
DIRECTION

There are always directions to be followed


to avoid mistakes and accidents. Direction may
be given in doing something how- how to make
simple things or activity, how to use thing or
objects and how to find places.

In other words, directions are guide. Once


followed properly, they give positive results.
Let us study how did Gabbie and her mother baked the
chocolate strawberry cake. Write First, Next, Then, and
Lastly on the line.

Here are some suggestions to follow when writing
directions:

• Direction must always be clear.

• Make sure to include all necessary information.
• Use signal words like First, Next, Then, Afterward, Lastly, and
Finally.
