The song was Bollywood’s first song to be shot entirely in slow
motion ushering the world of cinematography into a newfound
technique, with its baby steps.
They all had to mouth the words in highly sped up version,
otherwise enacting at a slow speed. The high-speed film was then
slowed down to get the dubbing and acting to finally meet
halfway, looking normal on the large and small screens.

hours in make-up, elaborate wigs and a sari pallu that never stayed in place.
The adas and nakhras were not so difficult because as I child I had watched
the neighbourhood dadas act out female parts in pararar plays, because those
days respectable ladies didn't act. In theatres in Delhi and UP, coins were

Ek Dil Sao Afsane is a 1963 Hindi romantic film, directed by R.C
Talwar with Raj Kapoor and Waheeda Rehman in the lead roles.
The original female lead was supposed to be Madhubala. The
shooting began with her in 1959, but her heart ailment curtailed

entirely reshot with Waheeda Rehman replacing her. Last year,
this movie shot back into the limelight, for no filmy reason,
