RULES
● 21 questions
● 5, 10, 15, 20 are star markers

1. What is being described here?
According to the official website, it draws inspiration from the vibrant
colours of India’s national flag – saffron, white and green, and blue. It
juxtaposes planet Earth with the lotus, India’s national flower that reflects
growth amid challenges. The Earth reflects India’s pro-planet approach to
life, one in perfect harmony with nature.
2. Identify the park / Id X
Located in the heart of this city, this park is spread across 80 acres and
was inaugurated by Lal Bahadur Shastri who planted a sapling from the
_ _ _ _ _ tree from Sri Lanka which was presented to him by former Sri
Lankan PM Sirimavo Bandarnaike.
Recently a meeting between PM Modi and Japanese PM Fumio Kishida
was held here where they paid homage to the aforementioned tree. PM
Modi later tweeted that one of the aspects which connects India and
Japan is the teachings of X, and hence they both went to this park
(paraphrased).
3. Who is being talked about? Which 2008 movie?
"I was not a fan of Qawwali," he admits candidly in an interview with The
Hindu before his first Sufi concert last month, where didn’t perform his
usual head bangers but delved into his other soulful pieces. "In 1991, a
friend of mine introduced me to a record of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and I
was like, 'Who is this? What is this music?' It changed my whole paradigm
of thinking. Later, I met Nusrat and learnt a few lessons."
A conversation with Khalil Mohommad inspired him in experimenting with
a completely new genre that resulted in the song 'Piya Haji Ali'. Later,
during a visit to Ajmer, a khadim (caretaker) asked him to compose
something for Dargah Khwaja Sahib which ultimately made its way into an
epic 2008 film.
4. Which city?
Chiragh-i-Dair is the third among Ghalib's 11 masnavis (long poems)
penned in Persian. It talks about his love for an Indian city. While
proceeding from Delhi to Calcutta, Ghalib arrived in this city in the spring
of 1827 and was greatly captivated by it. That Ghalib chose to describe it
as the 'Kaaba of Hindostan' reveals the extent of his love for the city.
The city rejuvenated his spirits, and he eulogised it and enshrined its
beauty in his masnavi, just as a devotee would thread together a
rudraksha mala.

6. Which event? Who was the German?
Despite a 5 year contract, this event remained on the schedule for just
three years, all of them being dominated by a certain German. 2014 was
supposed to be a one-year hiatus for the Indian edition which would take a
break from hosting duties and pick them back up again in 2015, but this
never happened.
Apparently, the government of Uttar Pradesh, led by the then Chief
Minister Akhilesh Yadav, said that the event was a form of entertainment.
Hence, the organisers needed to pay tax and duties on everything
connected with it, making it economically non-viable. The fact that
attendance had been dwindling over the last three years did not help the
situation either.

Hence, the organisers needed to pay tax and duties on everything connected with it, making it economically non-viable.
