The document proposes a thriller film about a hitman named Jason Solonik who is retiring and seeking revenge on his past employers who betrayed him. Solonik is inspired by a real-life Russian assassin from the Cold War known for his skill and involvement in high-profile killings. The film would be produced on a low budget of $1.35 million by Mr. Whale Productions, known for darker action/thriller films, and distributed by Lions Gate through their British division Momentum Pictures.
3. Plot We are proposing to you a thriller film. The narrative is fictional but loosely based on a real life assassin with the purpose of taking down all of his past employers. He wants to lose his ties with the four employers that used him for years to cover and excel their personal interests…
4. Plot continued… This is because they left him to die on a set up contract in which he was ambushed and shot by the contractors and suspected dead. He returns to take down those who betrayed him and clean up the mess of his life as being a contract killer.
5. The Protagonist Jason Solonik a 37 year old Hitman who is retiring. He is played by Jason Statham due to his ruthless hard man persona exemplified in his role as the “Transporter”. Soloniks’ mannerism is composed due to his long term training and experience in his line of work. Solonik doesn’t show much emotions around people, not even his clients and especially not his targets. He is renowned to do any job as long as there is money involved and never misses his target.
6. Inspiration for protagonist Alexander Solonik A famous Russian hitman who has over 300 reported murders, and involvement in high profile shootings of government officials during the cold war. It was believed that he had the ability to shoot two guns ambidextrously, and was thought to be involved in some of the most high profile assassinations in the cold war conflict. In 1997 he was found dead and suspected to be killed by the Russian government. Our movie is going to be based on Solonik as a character, however the film is not about the real life Solonik; but an interpretation of a fictional character like him based in a modern setting in England.
8. Opening Scene We open the film with an establishing scene of one of Solonik targets running from his pursuer. We wanted to portray Solonik as no ordinary Hitman or thug, but instead a very tactical, smart and professional contract killer
9. Production company Mr Whale productions Logo is of a simple whale design. The film will be a low budget film with around 1,350,000 for expense. Mr whale features more mature themes typically darker in tone to the action/thriller genre today.
