Google Chrome用の拡張を作ったら自分のサイトで公開する以外にChrome Extensions Galleryという誰でも拡張の登録が出来て公開する場がGoogleから提供されている。 で、ここへの登録は今まで無料で出来たんだけど、昨日からここへ初めて登録して公開する際には$5の登録料が必要になったらしい。この$5は最初に一度払うだけで良く、複数の拡張を登録したからと言って以降も$5が要求されることはないとのこと。 試しに払ってみた いつも使ってるアカウントは過去にギャラリー登録をしたことがあったので、有料化に関してはアナウンス表示がされていただけで課金は不要になっていた。 なので別のアカウントでログインして適当な拡張を登録してみた。 アップロード時には課金はされなかった。 アップロード完了後にアイテム一覧から適当な拡張を Publish しようとクリックしたところ、以下のよう
