micrOMEGAs is a numerical code to compute dark matter (DM) observables in generic extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics. We present a new version of micrOMEGAs that includes a generalization of the Boltzmann equations governing the DM cosmic abundance evolution which can be solved to compute the relic density of N-component DM. The direct and indirect detection rates in such scenarios take into account the relative contribution of each component such that constraints on the combined signal of all DM components can be imposed. The co-scattering mechanism for DM production is also included, whereas the routines used to compute the relic density of feebly interacting particles have been improved in order to take into account the effect of thermal masses of t-channel particles. Finally, the tables for the DM self-annihilation - induced photon spectra have been extended down to DM masses of 110 MeV, and they now include annihilation channels into light mesons.

One-loop electroweak corrections to the annihilation cross-sections of dark matter in the Higgs resonance region of the inert doublet model (IDM) are investigated. The procedure of how to implement the width of the Higgs in order to regularise the amplitude both at tree-level and at one-loop together with the renormalisation of a key parameter of the model, are thoroughly scrutinised. The discussions go beyond the application to the relic density calculation and also beyond the IDM so that addressing these technical issues can help in a wider context. We look in particular at the dominant channels with the $b \bar b$ final state and the more involved 3-body final state, $W f \bar f^\prime$, where both a resonance and an anti-resonance, due to interference effects, are present. We also discuss how to integrate over such configurations when converting the cross-sections into a calculation of the relic density.

We perform the first one-loop electroweak corrections for $2 \to 3$ processes for dark matter annihilation. These are the dominant processes that enter the computation of the relic density for the low mass region of the inert doublet model (IDM) when annihilations to two on-shell vector bosons are closed. The impact of the one-loop corrections are important as they involve, through rescattering effects, not only a dependence on the parameter controlling the dark sector, not present if a calculation at tree-level is conducted, but also on the renormalisation scale. These combined effects should be taken into account in analyses based on tree-level cross-sections of the relic density calculations, as a theoretical uncertainty which we find to be much larger than the cursory $\pm 10\%$ uncertainty that is routinely assumed, independently of the model parameters.

We examine the relic density of the light mass dark matter region in the inert doublet model (IDM) when the dominant process is due to co-annihilation between the lightest neutral scalars of the model. The full one-loop electroweak corrections are computed in an on-shell scheme and are found to be well approximated as an effective cross-section expressed in terms of $Z$-observables. The electroweak corrections to the subdominant process which consists of an annihilation into an on-shell $W$ and an off-shell $W$, that is calculated as a annihilation into a 3-body final state, is also performed. The latter reveals an important dependence on a parameter that describes the self-interaction of the new scalars (solely within the dark sector), a parameter which is not accessible in tree-level calculations of standard model (SM)-IDM interactions.

The present paper is the first in a series that addresses the calculation of the full one-loop corrections of dark matter (DM) annihilation cross-sections in the low mass region of the inert doublet model (IDM). We first review the renormalisation of the model both in a fully on-shell (OS) scheme and a mixed scheme combining on-shell (for the masses) and a $\overline{\rm MS}$ approach when the partial invisible width is closed and does not allow the use of a full OS scheme. The scale dependence introduced by the mixed scheme is shown to be tracked through an analysis of a parametrisation of the tree-level cross-section and the $β$ constant of a specific coupling. We discuss how to minimise the scale dependence. The theoretical uncertainty brought by the scale dependence leads us to introduce a new criterion on the perturbativity of the IDM. This criterion further delimits the allowed parameter space which we investigate carefully by including a host of constraints, both theoretical and experimental, including in particular, new data from the LHC. We come up with a set of benchmark points that cover three different mechanisms for a viable relic density of DM: {\it i)} a dominance of co-annihilation into a fermion pair, { \it ii)} annihilation into 2 vector bosons of which one is off-shell that requires the calculation of a $2 \to 3$ process at one-loop, {\it iii)} annihilation that proceeds through the very narrow standard model Higgs resonance. Since the $2 \to 3$ vector boson channel features in all three channels and is essentially a build up on the simpler annihilation to OS vector bosons, we study the latter in detail in the present paper. We confirm again that the corrected cross-sections involve a parameter that represents rescattering in the dark sector that a tree-level computation in not sensitive to.

A full renormalisation of the Inert Doublet Model (IDM) is presented and exploited for a precise calculation of the relic density of Dark Matter (DM) at one-loop. In this first paper, we study the case of a DM candidate with $m_{\rm DM} \sim 500$ GeV. In this regime, the co-annihilation channels are important. We therefore compute, for a wide range of relative velocities, the full next-to-leading order electroweak corrections to 7 annihilation/co-annihilation processes that contribute $\sim$ 70\% to the relic density of DM. These corrected cross-sections are interfaced with {\tt micrOMEGAs} to obtain the one-loop correction to the freeze-out relic density. Due to the accurate measurement of this observable, the one-loop corrections are relevant. We discuss the one-loop renormalisation scheme dependence and point out the influence, at one-loop, of a parameter that solely describes the scattering in the dark sector. A tree-level computation of the relic density is not sensitive to this parameter.

We present a major upgrade of the micrOMEGAs dark matter code to compute the abundance of feebly interacting dark matter candidates through the freeze-in mechanism in generic extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics. We develop the necessary formalism in order to solve the freeze-in Boltzmann equations while making as few simplifying assumptions as possible concerning the phase-space distributions of the particles involved in the dark matter production process. We further show that this formalism allows us to treat different freeze-in scenarios and discuss the way it is implemented in the code. We find that, depending on the New Physics scenario under consideration, the effect of a proper treatment of statistics on the predicted dark matter abundance can range from a few percent up to a factor of two, or more. We moreover illustrate the underlying physics, as well as the various novel functionalities of micrOMEGAs, by presenting several example results obtained for different dark matter models.

In contrast to the decay products ensuing from a fast moving particle which are collimated along the original direction of the parent, those from a slow moving particle are distributed over a wide region. In the context of searches for heavy long-lived particles (LLP) at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), we quantitatively demonstrate, using a few benchmark models, that objects which emerge from a secondary vertex due to the decay of an LLP at the TeV scale can be at large angular separations with respect to the direction of the parent LLP. A fraction of the decay products, the backward moving objects (\textit{BMO}s), can even go in the backward direction. These will give rise to striking signatures in the detectors at the LHC as these particles will traverse different layers of the detector {\it outside-in} towards the direction of the beam-pipe. Based on a simple geometrical modelling of the detector, we give examples of how this effect translates into the fraction of energy deposited in the tracker, from particles coming as far as from the hadron calorimeter, as well as those that could be entering from outside the detector into the muon chamber. The largest effect is from LLP candidates that come to rest inside the detector, such as the stopped $R$-hadrons. But the results are promising even in the case of not so heavy LLPs and/or when some of the available energy is carried by a massive invisible daughter. This urges us to look more in details at these unusual signatures, taking into account the particularities of each layer that constitutes the detector. From the \textit{BMO} perspective, we review how each layer of the detector could be exploited and what improvements can be made to enhance the shower shapes and the timing information, for instance. We also argue that the cosmic ray events, the most important background, can be easily dealt with.

We present a full one-loop renormalisation of the Higgs sector of the Next-to-Minimal- Supersymmetric-Standard-Model (NMSSM) and its implementation within SloopS, a code for the automated computations of one-loop processes in theories beyond the Stan- dard Model. The present work is the sequel to the study we performed on the renor- malisation of the sectors of the NMSSM comprising neutralinos, charginos and sfermions thereby completing the full one-loop renormalisation of the NMSSM. We have investi- gated several renormalisation schemes based on alternative choices (on-shell or DR) of the physical parameters. Special attention is paid to the issue of the mixing between physical fields. To weigh the impact of the different renormalisation schemes, the partial widths for the decays of the Higgs bosons into supersymmetric particles are computed at one-loop. In many decays large differences between the schemes are found. We discuss the origin of these differences. In particular we study two contrasting scenarios. The first model is MSSM-like with a small value for the mixing between the doublet and sin- glet Higgs superfields while the second model has a moderate value for this mixing. We critically discuss the issue of the reconstruction of the underlying parameters and their counterterms in the case of a theory with a large number of parameters, such as the NMSSM, from a set of physical parameters. In the present study this set corresponds to the minimum set of masses for the implementation of the on-shell schemes.

A special attention is paid to on-shell schemes. We study a variety of these schemes based on alternative choices of the physical input parameters. In this paper we present our approach to the renormalisation of the NMSSM and report on our results for the neutralino-chargino and sfermion sectors. We will borrow some results from our study of the Higgs sector whose full discussion is left for a separate publication. We have implemented the set up for all the sectors of the NMSSM within \sloops, a code for the automatic computation of one-loop corrections initially developed for the standard model and the MSSM. Among the many applications that allows the code, we present here the one-loop corrections to neutralino masses and to partial widths of neutralinos and charginos into final states with one gauge boson. One-loop electroweak and QCD corrections to the partial widths of third generation sfermions into a fermion and a chargino or a neutralino are also computed.

We first discuss the constraints implied by low-energy observables and by the Higgs-rate information from available LHC data, emphasizing that they cannot provide conclusive evidence on the nature of this coupling. We then investigate kinematic observables that could probe the $ t\bar{t}h $ coupling directly, in particular quantities that can be constructed out of just lab-frame kinematics. We define one such observable by exploiting the fact that $t \bar{t}$ spin correlations do also carry information about the CP-nature of the $ t\bar{t}h $ coupling. Finally, we introduce a CP-odd quantity and a related asymmetry, able to probe CP violation in the $ t\bar{t}h $ coupling and likewise constructed out of lab-frame momenta only.

The inferred value of the relic density from cosmological observations has reached a precision that is akin to that of the LEP precision measurements. This level of precision calls for the evaluation of the annihilation cross sections of dark matter that goes beyond tree-level calculations as currently implemented in all codes for the computation of the relic density. In supersymmetry radiative corrections are known to be large and thus must be implemented. Full one-loop radiative corrections for many annihilation processes have been performed. It is important to investigate whether the bulk of these corrections can be parameterised through an improved Born approximation that can be implemented as a selection of form factors to a tree-level code. This paper is a second in a series that addresses this issue. After having provided these form factors for the annihilation of the neutralinos into fermions, which cover the case of a bino-like LSP (Lightest Supersymmetric Particle), we turn our attention here to a higgsino-like dark matter candidate through its annihilation into $ZZ$. We also investigate the cases of a mixed LSP. In all cases we compare the performance of the form factor approach with the result of a full one-loop correction. We also study the issue of the renormalisation scheme dependence. An illustration of the phenomenon of non decoupling of the heavy sfermions that takes place for the annihilation of the lightest neutralino into $ZZ$ is also presented.

Furthermore a switch to include virtual vector bosons in the final states in the annihilation cross sections or relic density computations is added. Effective operators to describe loop-induced couplings of Higgses to two-photons or two-gluons are introduced and reduced couplings of the Higgs are provided allowing for a direct comparison with recent LHC results. A module that computes the signature of DM captured in celestial bodies in neutrino telescopes is also provided. Moreover the direct detection module has been improved as concerns the implementation of the strange "content" of the nucleon. New extensions of the standard model are included in the distribution.

Spurred by the discovery of a boson resonance at the LHC as the result of the search for the Standard Model Higgs, we pursue our investigation of the properties and signatures of Higgses in an effective supersymmetric scenario that goes beyond the usual MSSM. Such scenarios were first introduced to alleviate the naturalness problem of the MSSM Higgs and are found to have a very rich phenomenology that allows departures from the Standard Model in the production rate of the Higgs in many of the search channels. We now include the constraints from flavour observables in particular the rare decays b-> s gamma and Bs -> mu+ mu- including the recent measurement from LHCb. We also address the issue of Dark Matter and its impact on Higgs physics. In particular, we incorporate the latest data from XENON100 on the spin independent direct detection rates. These turn out to be powerful constraints, especially if one also imposes that the observed thermal relic density is obtained. We also study models with a low abundance that can more easily evade the direct detection rates. We study the impact of the flavour and Dark Matter observables on the production rates of the Higgs at the LHC, and their correlations in the diphoton, diphoton+jets and 4 leptons. We also comment on the other channels.

The BMSSM framework is an effective theory approach that encapsulates a variety of extensions beyond the MSSM with which it shares the same field content. The lightest Higgs mass can be much heavier than in the MSSM without creating a tension with naturalness or requiring superheavy stops. The phenomenology of the Higgs sector is at the same time much richer. We critically review the properties of a Higgs with mass around 125GeV in this model. In particular, we investigate how the rates in the important inclusive 2 photons channel, the 2 photons + 2 jets and the ZZ to 4 leptons (and/or WW) can be enhanced or reduced compared to the standard model and what kind of correlations between these rates are possible. We consider both a vanilla model where stops have moderate masses and do not mix and a model with large mixing and a light stop. We show that in both cases there are scenarios that lead to enhancements in these rates at a mass of 125GeV corresponding either to the lightest Higgs or the heaviest CP-even Higgs of the model. In all of these scenarios we study the prospects of finding other signatures either of the 125GeV Higgs or those of the heavier Higgses. In most cases the $\ooττ$ channels are the most promising. Exclusion limits from the recent LHC Higgs searches are folded in our analyses while the tantalising hints for a Higgs signal at 125GeV are used as an example of how to constrain the BMSSM and/or direct future searches.

The recent results from the ATLAS and CMS collaborations show that the allowed range for a Standard Model Higgs boson is now restricted to a very thin region. Although those limits are presented exclusively in the framework of the SM, the searches themselves remain sensitive to other Higgs models. We recast the limits within a generic supersymmetric framework that goes beyond the usual minimal extension. Such a generic model can be parameterised through a supersymmetric effective Lagrangian with higher order operators appearing in the Kähler potential and the superpotential, an approach whose first motivation is to alleviate the fine-tuning problem in supersymmetry with the most dramatic consequence being a substantial increase in the mass of the lightest Higgs boson as compared to the minimal supersymmetic model. We investigate in this paper the constraints set by the LHC on such models. We also investigate how the present picture will change when gathering more luminosity. Issues of how to combine and exploit data from the LHC dedicated to searches for the standard model Higgs to such supersymmetry inspired scenarios are discussed. We also discuss the impact of invisible decays of the Higgs in such scenarios.

The extracted value of the relic density has reached the few per-cent level precision. One can therefore no longer content oneself with calculations of this observable where the annihilation processes are computed at tree-level, especially in supersymmetry where radiative corrections are usually large. Implementing full one-loop corrections to all annihilation processes that would be needed in a scan over parameters is a daunting task. On the other hand one may ask whether the bulk of the corrections are taken into account through effective couplings of the neutralino that improve the tree-level calculation and would be easy to implement. We address this issue by concentrating in this first study on the neutralino coupling to i) fermions and sfermions and ii) Z. After constructing the effective couplings we compare their efficiency compared to the full one-loop calculation and comment on the failures and success of the approach. As a bonus we point out that large non decoupling effects of heavy sfermions could in principle be measured in the annihilation process, a point of interest in view of the latest limit on the squark masses from the LHC. We also comment on the scheme dependencies of the one-loop corrected results.

Many highly developed Monte Carlo tools for the evaluation of cross sections based on tree matrix elements exist and are used by experimental collaborations in high energy physics. As the evaluation of one-loop matrix elements has recently been undergoing enormous progress, the combination of one-loop matrix elements with existing Monte Carlo tools is on the horizon. This would lead to phenomenological predictions at the next-to-leading order level. This note summarises the discussion of the next-to-leading order multi-leg (NLM) working group on this issue which has been taking place during the workshop on Physics at TeV colliders at Les Houches, France, in June 2009. The result is a proposal for a standard interface between Monte Carlo tools and one-loop matrix element programs.

These processes are important for the measurements of the quartic couplings of the massive gauge bosons which can be a window on the mechanism of spontaneous symmetry breaking. We find that even after subtracting the leading QED corrections, the electroweak corrections can still be large especially as the energy increases. We compare and implement different methods of dealing with potential instabilities in the routines pertaining to the loop integrals. For the real corrections we apply a dipole subtraction formalism and compare it to a phase-space slicing method.

We cover scenarios where the most important channels are those with gauge boson pair production. This includes the case of a bino with some wino admixture, a higgsino and a wino. In this paper we specialise to the case of light dark matter much below the TeV scale. The corrections can have a non-negligible impact on the predictions and should be taken into account in view of the present and forthcoming increasing precision on the relic density measurements. Our calculations are made with the help of \SloopS, an automatic tool for the calculation of one-loop processes in the MSSM. The renormalisation scheme dependence of the results as concerns $\tgb$ is studied.

Using a Markov chain Monte Carlo approach, we find the allowed parameter space of a MSSM model with seven free parameters. In this model universality conditions at the GUT scale are imposed on the gaugino sector. We require in particular that the relic density of dark matter saturates the value extracted from cosmological measurements assuming a standard cosmological scenario. We characterize the parameter space of the model that satisfies experimental constraints and illustrate the complementarity of the LHC searches, B-physics observables and direct dark matter searches for further probing the parameter space of the model. We also explore the different decay chains expected for the coloured particles that would be produced at LHC.

An on-shell renormalisation programme for the chargino/neutralino and the sfermion sectors within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model as implemented in a fully automated code, SloopS, for the calculation of one-loop processes at the colliders and in astrophysics, is presented. This is a sequel to our study in arXiv:0807.4668 [hep-ph] where an on-shell renormalisation of the Higgs (and the gauge/fermion) sector is performed. The issue of mixing is treated in a unified and coherent manner in all these sectors, in particular we give some new insight into the renormalisation of the mixing angle in the sfermion sector and like with the Higgs sector and the issue of tan(beta) we discuss different schemes. We also perform numerical comparisons between our code SloopS and different results found in the literature. In particular we consider loop corrections to the neutralino and sfermion masses, chargino pair production and stau pair production in e^{+}e^{-} colliders, as well as a few decays of the heavier chargino. For all these observables, we analyse the tan(beta) scheme dependence using different definitions of this parameter and comment on the impact of using different renormalisation of the mixing parameter in the sfermion sector.

Exploiting the azimuthal angle dependence of the density matrices we construct observables that directly measure the spin of a heavy unstable particle. A novelty of the approach is that the analysis of the azimuthal angle dependence in a frame other than the usual helicity frame offers an independent cross-check on the extraction of the spin. Moreover, in some instances when the transverse polarisation tensor of highest rank is vanishing, for an accidental or dynamical reason, the standard azimuthal asymmetries vanish and would lead to a measurement with a wrong spin assignment. In a frame such as the one we construct, the correct spin assignment would however still be possible. The method gives direct information about the spin of the particle under consideration and the same event sample can be used to identify the spins of each particle in a decay chain. A drawback of the method is that it is instrumental only when the momenta of the test particle can be reconstructed. However we hope that it might still be of use in situations with only partial reconstruction. We also derive the conditions on the production and decay mechanisms for the spins, and hence the polarisations, to be measured at a collider experiment. As an example for the use of the method we consider the simultaneous reconstruction, at the partonic level, of the spin of both the top and the $W$ in top pair production in $e^+ e^-$ in the semi-leptonic channel.

We give an extensive description of the renormalisation of the Higgs sector of the minimal supersymmetric model in SloopS. SloopS is an automatised code for the computation of one-loop processes in the MSSM. In this paper, the first in a series, we study in detail the non gauge invariance of some definitions of tan(beta). We rely on a general non-linear gauge fixing constraint to make the gauge parameter dependence of different schemes for tan(beta) at one-loop explicit. In so doing, we update, within these general gauges, an important Ward-Slavnov-Taylor identity on the mixing between the pseudo-scalar Higgs, A^0, and the Z^0. We then compare the tan(beta) scheme dependence of a few observables. We find that the best tan(beta) scheme is the one based on the decay A^0 -> tau^+ tau^- because of its gauge invariance, being unambiguously defined from a physical observable, and because it is numerically stable. The oft used DRbar scheme performs almost as well on the last count, but is usually defined from non-gauge invariant quantities in the Higgs sector. The use of the heavier scalar Higgs mass in lieu of tan(beta) though related to a physical parameter induces too large radiative corrections in many instances and is therefore not recommended.

At tree-level Higgs production in association with a b-quark pair proceeds through the small Yukawa bottom coupling in the Standard Model. Even in the limit where this coupling vanishes, electroweak one-loop effects, through the top-Higgs Yukawa coupling in particular, can still trigger this reaction. This contribution is small for Higgs masses around 120GeV but it quickly picks up for higher Higgs masses especially because the one-loop amplitude develops a leading Landau singularity and new thresholds open up. These effects can be viewed as the production of a pair of top quarks which rescatter to give rise to Higgs production through WW fusion. We study the leading Landau singularity in detail. Since this singularity is not integrable when the one-loop amplitude is squared, we regulate the cross section by taking into account the width of the internal top and W particles. This requires that we extend the usual box one-loop function to the case of imaginary masses. We show how this can be implemented analytically in our case. We study in some detail the cross section at the LHC as a function of the Higgs mass and show how some distributions can be drastically affected compared to the tree-level result.

The Supersymmetry Les Houches Accord (SLHA) provides a universal set of conventions for conveying spectral and decay information for supersymmetry analysis problems in high energy physics. Here, we propose extensions of the conventions of the first SLHA to include various generalisations: the minimal supersymmetric standard model with violation of CP, R-parity, and flavour, as well as the simple…

Leading Yukawa corrections to Higgs production associated with a tagged bottom anti-bottom pair in the Standard Model at the LHC

Abstract:
Considering the large value of the top Yukawa coupling, we investigate the leading one-loop Yukawa electroweak corrections that can be induced by the top quark in a process such as Higgs production in association with a tagged bottom anti-bottom pair at the LHC. At NLO these contributions are found to be small at the LHC both for the total cross section and for the distributions. In the limit of…

In the limit of vanishing bottom Yukawa coupling where the LO contribution vanishes, the process can still be induced at one-loop through the top quark transition. Though this contribution which can be counted as part of the NNLO correction is small for Higgs masses around 120GeV, it quickly picks up for higher Higgs masses. This contribution represents the rescattering of the top quarks and their decay into W's leading to Higgs production through WW fusion

We show the impact of the electroweak, and in one instance the QCD, one-loop corrections on the relic density of dark matter in the MSSM which is provided by the lightest neutralino. We cover here some of the most important scenarii: annihilation into fermions for a bino-like neutralino, annihilation involving gauge bosons in the case of a mixed neutralino, the neutralino-stau co-annihilation region and annihilation into a bottom quark pair. The corrections can be large and should be taken into account in view of the present and forthcoming increasing precision on the relic density measurements. Our calculations are made possible thanks to a newly developed automatic tool for the calculation at one-loop of any process in the MSSM. We have implemented a complete on-shell gauge invariant renormalisation scheme, with the possibility of switching to other schemes. In particular we will report on the impact of different renormalisation schemes for tan beta.

One-loop Electroweak and QCD corrections to vector boson scattering into top pairs and application to ILC
Authors:
N. Bouayed,

Abstract:
We calculate the electroweak and QCD corrections to W-W+ -> tt and ZZ -> tt. We also consider the interplay of these corrections with the effect of anomalous interactions that affect the massive weak bosons and the top. The results at the VV level fusion are convoluted with the help of the effective vector boson approximation to give predictions for a high energy e+e- collider.

Abstract:
In the MSSM, the presence of CP phases can have a significant impact on the neutralino relic abundance. These phase effectsare on the one hand due to shifts in the masses, on the other hand due to modifications of the couplings. Typical variations in Omega h^2 solely from modifications in the couplings are of order 10%-100%.

There are many possibilities for new physics beyond the Standard Model that feature non-standard Higgs sectors. These may introduce new sources of CP violation, and there may be mixing between multiple Higgs bosons or other new scalar bosons. Alternatively, the Higgs may be a composite state, or there may even be no Higgs at all. These non-standard Higgs scenarios have important implications for collider physics as well as for cosmology, and understanding their phenomenology is essential for a full comprehension of electroweak symmetry breaking. This report discusses the most relevant theories which go beyond the Standard Model and its minimal, CP-conserving supersymmetric extension: two-Higgs-doublet models and minimal supersymmetric models with CP violation, supersymmetric models with an extra singlet, models with extra gauge groups or Higgs triplets, Little Higgs models, models in extra dimensions, and models with technicolour or other new strong dynamics. For each of these scenarios, this report presents an introduction to the phenomenology, followed by contributions on more detailed theoretical aspects and studies of possible experimental signatures at the LHC and other colliders.

micrOMEGAs2.0 is a code which calculates the relic density of a stable massive particle in an arbitrary model. The underlying assumption is that there is a conservation law like R-parity in supersymmetry which guarantees the stability of the lightest odd particle. The new physics model must be incorporated in the notation of CalcHEP, a package for the automatic generation of squared matrix elements. Once this is done, all annihilation and coannihilation channels are included automatically in any model. Cross-sections at $v=0$, relevant for indirect detection of dark matter, are also computed automatically. The package includes three sample models: the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM), the MSSM with complex phases and the NMSSM. Extension to other models, including non supersymmetric models, is described.

We analyse various scenarios of neutralino annihilation: the cases of a bino, bino-wino and bino-Higgsino LSP, annihilation through Higgs, as well as sfermion coannihilation scenarios. Large phase effects are found, on the one hand due to shifts in the masses, on the other hand due to modifications of the couplings. Taking special care to disentangle the effects in masses and couplings, we demonstrate that the presence of CP phases can have a significant influence on the neutralino relic abundance. Typical variations in Ωh^2 solely from modifications in the couplings are O(10%-100%), but can reach an order of magnitude in some cases.
