This paper looks into the developments and simulation of electric vehicles (EV) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) powertrains. The investigation is compassed through ADVISOR software (Advanced Vehicle Simulator), correlated to the selected country energy consumption, whereas this project is aimed at Iran's energy sources to be observed on the assumption of HEV vehicles suitability for this country energy consumptions. In addition to this research, the carbon footprint of Iran's energy sources has been carried out, to select the most efficient source, and to simulate an exceptional powertrain to examine the progress of the main components (e.g. electric motor, battery) of the vehicle construction through its efficiency, and pollution. Further to this test the structures of the components is simulated and compared with other selected powertrains through Simulink and ADVISOR. As a result, the Energy Usage (Power & Regen Mode), Fuel Economy, Emission, and overall system Efficiency, has been analysed.

This study investigates an optimized fuel blend comprising oxymethylene ethers (OMEn = 1-5 series) with diesel aimed at simultaneously reducing soot and NOx emissions while enhancing fuel efficiency. An optimal blend was identified through rigorous experimentation and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling. The study employs the response surface method (RSM) for regression analysis and integrates machine learning techniques for predictive modeling to assess various fuel compositions and optimize the mixture for improved combustion dynamics. Experimental measurements were conducted in an optical constant volume combustion chamber (CVCC) to confirm the blend's effectiveness in reducing both soot and NOx emissions. The investigation thoroughly analyzes spray combustion properties, including injection duration, Start of Combustion (SOC), End of Combustion (EOC), Lift-Off length of fuels, spray tip penetration, and their impact on combustion efficiency. Analysis of energy densities between the blends reveals that OMED exhibits a heating value superior to OME2-5 but inferior to diesel, striking a balance in energy output. Furthermore, OMED demonstrates superior energy density compared to OME1-3 and diesel, highlighting its potential for enhanced fuel efficiency. The optimized blend achieves a significant 78.2 % reduction in soot emissions and a 31.3 % reduction in NOx emissions compared to conventional diesel, underscoring its efficacy in mitigating harmful emissions without compromising combustion performance. This research contributes valuable insights into developing sustainable fuel solutions for diesel engines, paving the way for greener automotive technologies in the future.

This article reappraises and develops Marshall McLuhan’s theory of ‘Auditory Space’ as a critical tool for interrogating emergent, immersive modes of new media performance.  Commonalities in the practise of Erwin Piscator, Steve Reich and Beryl Korot are explored, specifically in their respective applications of technology as a means by which to re-present historical events and document lived experiences with political intent. Contemporary views on historiography and historicity are explored and  contextualised with respect to postmodern theory. A performance of Steve Reich and Beryl Korot’s Three Tales is analysed, in the light ‘auditory space’, with reference to ways in which Three Tales evoke collective memory, to raise political concerns and issues of authenticity and to affect the spectator. Each of these practitioners use contemporaneous technologies to communicate to audiences of their day in ways that suit the tenor and technological environment of their times. These notions are briefly discussed from a historical perspective in relation to theatrical stagings that operate different approaches to illusion or anti-illusion. I draw on Jacques Derrida’s theories of deconstruction and his critique of Artaud’s Theatre of Cruelty. The affective potential of music is assessed using phenomenology as a means through which to describe perceptual modes encountered in multi-channelled performance.

Current debates on telepresence and telematic forms of communication often revolve around notions of immediacy and virtual representation. Following Bergson's idea of two memories, 'recollection memory' oriented towards the past, and 'contraction memory' oriented towards the future, 'Inter_Views' proposes a mobile, 2-way site dance performance that tests Bergson's notion of memory and its link to the perception of time and space. Connecting two remotely located spaces via a real-time Skype audio link and a delayed Quicktime Broadcast video link, the project was first presented at the H2PTM Festival, Univeriste Paris 8, as well as University of Chichester on September 30th 2009.

Research has shown that the editing of images within the fashion industry has the ability to affect the overall self-esteem of individuals. Following this, the fashion industry is constantly editing their images to make them more appealing to the target audience. Fashion brands are alienating their target audiences by making their brand images less relatable. The fashion industry, just like social media, is ever-evolving meaning the perfect way of communicating to the target audience would be through social media. 
Building on existing and current work, the research aims to answer; To what extent does ‘Photoshop’ on social media affect the fashion industry? 
Based on previous literature surrounding social media, the fashion industry, and social comparison, a semi-structured interview was conducted amongst qualifying participants. The respondents were selected through a convenience sampling and asked to contribute to the research. 
Analysis of the findings demonstrated that there was a clear divide in the opinions on whether knowledge of all image editing in fashion images would affect the respondent’s perceptions of said fashion brands. In addition to this, it has become clear that social comparison is a constant burden on individuals, online and offline. 
The results show that individuals are aware that image editing is occurring, but they do not know how to approach the situation. There is an increase in the need for body positivity within the advertising industry however, the one industry that can make a big difference is not helping the crisis. 
Further research is required to identify to what extent ‘Photoshop’ on social media has affected the fashion industry.
