オープンアクセス（OA）誌“Journal of Librarianship and Scholarly Communication”（JLSC）の12巻2号に、オーストラリア及びニュージーランドにおけるOAの進展についての論文“Filling the basket with knowledge: The evolution of open access in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand”が掲載されています。著者は、豪・ジェームズクック大学のJanet Catterall氏等です。
2014年以降、両国においてOA出版数が倍増する契機となった取組等を概説する一方で、OA及びオープンサイエンスに関する地域的な現下の課題として、統合的な国家戦略・政策の欠如や論文処理費用（APC）の高騰等に言及しています。
