The purpose of this experiment was to observe the Raman shift to assign the symmetry character of the obtained vibrational modes of α-quartz (which has 9 atom per unit cell) using the selection rules for Raman Effect. We observed the Raman spectra varying the polarization of the incoming beam and the orientation of the crystal. And we used monochromatic radiation of argon laser of wavelength 540 nm for our Raman spectroscopy. We observed the intensity of light rotating the polarizer to vertical position from its horizontal position with respect to the plane of the optical table where the laser is placed and measured the Raman spectra over an energy from 50 to 1250 cm-1 using the laser power of 1W and an acquisition time of 10 sec. averaging over 2 acquisitions. From our experiment we can see that here is 4symmetry for A1 which is predicted on our vibrational modes. Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is perceived to offer considerable benefits and challenges both to the banks and their customers, yet these are rarely empirically investigated. The study was conducted in purposively selected eight ATM location points of four banks in Ibadan metropolis, Nigeria. The sample size was made up purposively selected one hundred and eight-two (182) and another twelve (12) respondents for survey and in-depth interviews respectively. Data were collected and analyzed through quantitative and qualitative methods. Results showed that most respondents were utilizing the machine for various purposes. Also, respondents mentioned convenience, quick funds transfer, and time saving as the real benefits of the machine. Some respondents mentioned fear of armed robbery attack, technical hitches, invalid debit and perennial network failure as the challenges of utilizing the machine. The rice husk ash/polyester resin composites were prepared by compression molding method and their physical and mechanical properties were studied by universal testing machine. The hardness of the composites were tested by Leeb rebound hardness tester and Vickers hardness tester .The bulk density of the rice husk ash/polyester resin composite decreased with the addition of the rice husk ash, and the water absorption also found to be increased with increase in soaking time. Flexure strength of the composite was decreased randomly with an increase in rice husk ash content. The elastic modulus for the flexure strength increased up to the percentage 0-10% but decreased on 15% and 20% of the rice husk ash/polyester composite. The compressive strength of the composites was decreased randomly with the addition of rice husk ash content, and the elastic modulus for compressive test was increased firstly on the addition of rice husk ash, but it was decreased after 5%.
