SUBJECT PRONOUNS – PRONOMBRES SUJETO
Estos pronombres ejecutan la acción del verbo

I (ai-aa) Yo
You (iu) Usted / tú

It (ie t) El, ella, ello (para animales, cosas y el neutro)
We (ui) Nosotros

They (Dei) Ellos

VERB TO BE (AM, IS, ARE) – VERBO SER, ESTAR, TENER

El verbo “to be” es uno de los más importantes en el idioma Inglés, por su uso no sólo como verbo
sino como auxiliar, esto significa que podremos interrogar negar afirmar con él. También nos servirá
para formar varios tiempos, por lo que le dedicaremos atención especial.

El verbo “to be” equivale a dos verbos en Español, ser, estar y tener (sensaciones y sentimientos).
Su conjugación es poco común, pues es el único verbo que tiene tres formas diferentes de
conjugación. Estas son: am, is, are y se usan de la siguiente manera:

FORMA NEGATIVA DEL VERBO TO BE

Verbo auxiliar después del sujeto con la partícula not.


En negativo, hay dos formas de contracción: una en el verbo, y la otra en negación.

ARTICLES – ARTíCULOS

Artículos determinados

En Inglés solo hay un artículo determinado puesto que este no tiene genero número, por lo tanto
el artículo “The” equivaldrá a los artículos utilizados en el español (él, la, los, las).

Nota: No se usa cuando se habla de algo en general.

El artículo THE tiene dos diferentes pronunciaciones, se pronunciará (da) cuando va seguido de
una consonante y (dii) cuando lo sigue una vocal.

Ejemplos:

The (da) door The (di) water
The (da) computer The (di) article
The (da) jail The (di) orange

Artículos indeterminados

Los artículos indeterminados en Inglés son dos: A, AN .Ellos equivales a UNA; el plural unos o unas no existe, por lo
tanto, cuando el sustantivo esta en plural no lleva el articulo indeterminado. A, AN se pronuncian como en
español; usándose “A” antes de una consonante y “AN” antes de una vocal.

Ejemplos:

A car = un carro An Apple = una manzana An Oranges = una naranjas


A Wallet = una cartera An orange = una naranja A Papers = un papeles
