Gunumuzde, bilgi ve iletisim teknolojilerindeki gelismeler, ozellikle internetin yaygin olarak kullanilmaya baslamasi, cesitli platformlar arasinda veri aktariminin gerceklesmesi icin yeni olanaklar saglamaktadir. Tasarim verilerinin internet araciligiyla dagitilabilmesi, disiplinler arasi butunlesme, veri paylasimi ve degisimi ile isbirlikci calisma kavramlarinin gelismesine yardimci olmustur. Bir yapinin yasam dongusunun basarili bir sekilde gerceklesmesi, mimarlik, muhendislik ve uretim sektorlerinin isbirligi icinde calismasini gerektirmektedir. Bu sektorlerin bir araya gelmesi kisaca MMU olarak adlandirilan endustri dalini olusturmaktadir. Urban parks can be the future green engines of a self-sufficient urban environment. They may become a productive landscape that merges nature, with a resource-efficient milieu, and a platform for ecological awareness and education. This agro-ecosystem sustains space and the surrounded neighborhoods, with community supported gardening and urban farming, integrating the production of renewable energies, natural water purification and waste management. Tres Turons Park is a strategic green space in the northern part of the city of Barcelona, Spain. The Modification of the Metropolitan Master Plan, approved in January 2009, consolidates the space for an urban public park. This paper evaluates how to design a community self-organized productive landscape in Tres Turons Park, presenting the design methodology and analyzing the results of the workshop taken place at the Faculty of Architecture of Barcelona (UPC), on July 2009, with an international team of students, and professional guests.

Today, a large part of the total energy consumed in buildings is used for to provide adequate indoor air quality and indoor lighting. The dirt and noise of urban environments encourage keeping buildings closed tight, with a resultant reliance of mechanical systems. Despite the fact that tighting the building envelope to decrease energy consumption, the building itself become more dependent on mechanical systems and monitors to assure adequate heat, ventilation and airconditioning. The need, amount and the timing of energy efficient air conditioning are the subjects of studies, which include how to provide efficient air conditioning to control indoor air quality. With this context, the aim of the research is to develop a design decision system that using to provide sufficient and consistent knowledge on airconditioning for the design process. Today, there are only a few systems serving the same aim with a very limited capacity. These systems are not designed either cost-effective or industrial applicable. Airconditioning and air circulation analysis of spaces are made by CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamics) software. In order to use airconditioning and air circulation analysis in design process efficiently, CFD analysis software and BIM (Building Information Modelling) software should work together. Three steps are followed to develop the proposed system. First, the results of air circulation analysis is composed that used by architects. Second, an interface is designed to define air circulation analysis in BIM software. Third, additional properties sets to Industry Foundation Classes (IFCs) standard to keep analysis data on BIM model is prepared. Cultural landscapes focus on landscapes where human relationship with the natural environment over time defines their essential character. With the rapid social and economical development, cultural landscapes are the most fragile and threatened sites on earth. On the other hand, transformation of cultural landscape beginning in the 20th century, now continuing into the 21st century, has raised global concerns. The aim of study is to develop a new approach that is based on principles (understanding, integrity, respect, public benefit) and on values about transformed cultural landscapes. This new approach suggests an integrated system that includes local sustainability, renewable energies, economical growth, social participation and cultural activities. In the future, a clear long term approach which should base on the investigation of real cases of cultural landscapes will be more important for sustainable cities. That kind of new approach also explores how sense of place, cultural identity and connections to the past can become touchstones for deepening and broadening the impact and relevance of transformation of cultural landscapes in the future. While studying on this topic, we use our experiences from Green Engines© international workshop series aims to explore the potentials of productive landscapes to generate a self-sustainable territory. In order to develop the new approach some significant transformed cultural landscapes from Istanbul are chosen as a case study. The evaluation stage is in progress and the results of the study will be presented in the conference.

Full physical adequacy for individuals is a temporary condition. Everyone has some limitations on the part of his life. Disabled people have some special needs. However, design for disabled are still made generic. The conventional methods are used to control the design and results are not satisfactory. BIM (Building Information Modeling) is such a good option to control the design. In this study, a method that analyzes the living spaces by using BIM model was developed. While using proposed model, it is possible to define all incompatibilities properly and use them as design feedback to create effective living spaces for wheelchair users.

Bu çalışma, İstanbul'da bir üniversitenin lisans programında seçmeli ders olarak yer alan " Yapı Bilgi Modelleme " isimli teknoloji dersini açıklamaktadır. Bu dersin amacı, temel Yapı Bilgi Modelleme (YBM) bilgisinin tasarım sürecinde nasıl kullanılabileceğini tanımlamaktır. Bu dersi 2007-2015 yılları arasında yaklaşık 500 öğrenci almıştır. " Yapı Bilgi Modelleme " dersinin, içeriği ve dersin ürünleri üzerinden tartışıldığı bu çalışmada dersin değerlendirmesini yapmak üzere ayrıca bir anket hazırlanmış ve dersi almış olan öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Bu çalışma, YBM ve mimarlık eğitimi üzerine tartışmalar sunmaktadır.

The subject of the present paper is a course called " Building Information Modeling, " compulsory in an undergraduate architecture program of an İstanbul university. The aim of the course is to describe how basic BIM knowledge can be used throughout the design process. Approximately 500 students have taken this course between 2007 and 2015. The content and products of the course are discussed. A survey was developed to evaluate the efficacy of the course, and results are reported. The importance of BIM in architectural education is also discussed.
