    Polyurethanes (PUR) are widely used for some elements of machinery and equipment, including in motorized shock-absorbing nodes and technical seals that can work in various operating conditions. The article presents the results of tribological investigations of polyurethane elastomers (EPUR) with different hardness (75, 83, and 93 °Sh A), which cooperated with steel in assembly lubrication conditions (mixed friction) with two types of grease (showing low and high adhesion to steel), with variable values of unit pressure p and sliding speed v. For the research, a rotary plan for two variables (p and v) was applied at five levels of their value.     PURPOSE The main goal of the work was to find the interconnection between the high-frequency magnetron sputtering parameters and the adhesion properties of CaP coatings formed on the surface of titanium substrate. METHODS Calcium-phosphate coatings, similar in composition to hydroxyapatite, were generated by high-frequency magnetron sputtering on titanium substrate at different values of high-frequency specific power over times of one and two hours. Afterwards, the generated coatings were studied using the method of X-ray phase analysis, and sclerometric tests (scratch test) were carried out. The adhesion strength of the deposited coatings was tested for different coating thicknesses from 0.45 to 1.1 × 10⁻³ mm. RESULTS According to the results of sclerometry, it was found that with an increase in the high-frequency specific power of plasma to 3.15 W/cm², the adhesion strength of the calcium-phosphate coating also increases.     The paper presents problems related to the lubrication of moving machine nodes that are operating in an aggressive environment occurring in copper mines. The analysis was based on the exploitation of self-propelled wheeled machines, such as transport vehicles, loaders, drilling and anchoring cars. In self-propelled machines there are from 15 to 40 moving parts exposed to high impact loads and stresses. These are mainly bolted joints performing swinging motion as well as rotary motion at low rotational speeds up to 10 rpm. Observations and operational tests of several dozen manifolds and pumps operating in the environment occurring in KGHM Polska Miedź copper mines were carried out during two years.     Tribological tests were aimed at determining the value of static friction coefficient μ0 of EPUR with hardnesses 75, 80, 83, and 93 ° Sh A, during friction on C45 steel under various lubrication conditions. In the tests, the unit pressure values in the range of p = 0.2 – 0.8 MPa and the time of stationary contact under load were changed in the range of t = 1 – 9 min, both in dry friction conditions, lubricating with water, and lubricating with two types of greases – with low and high adhesion to steel. The tests were carried out on a device whose operating principle is based on an inclined plane. The results of the tests showed that both the unit pressure and the stationary contact time have a significant impact on the value of the static friction coefficient in the EPUR-steel pair.

    The article presents the results of the comparative tribological study of the resistance of multicomponent polyoxymethylene (POM) composites to abrasive wear. The fillers for the studied POM matrix composites were a PTFE powder, the bronze powder, chopped glass fibre, and glass microballs, which were used both individually and in various combinations. Quantities of the composites were developed based on the simplex plan of the experiment. For the research, a Tester T-07 was used as a test stand. The study was conducted in the presence of loose abrasive, electrocorundum F90, subjected to the same conditions of friction for all the tested composites. The study has shown that the most effective compound in increasing resistance to the abrasive wear of the POM composites is the powder of bronze and the hybrid glass filler; whereas, the PTFE powder caused a slight reduction in the resistance to abrasive wear.
