The proposed distribution is called the exponential-generalized truncated Poisson (EGTP) distribution. Our approach follows the same procedure as Adamidis and Loukas (1998) and generalizes the exponential Poisson distribution introduced by Kus (2007). We give general forms of the probability density function (pdf), the cumulative distribution (cdf), the reliability and failure rate functions of any order statistics. The parameters’ estimation is attained by the maximum likelihood (ML) and the expectation maximization (EM) algorithms. The applied study is illustrated based on real datasets.

The tool designed was of 10mm shoulder diameter and 1.7mm pin length. The tool rotation speeds were 900 rpm, 1120 rpm, 1400 rpm and 1800 rpm at a constant traverse speed of 125 mm/min. At all these tool rotation speeds defect free welds are successfully obtained. The results suggest at higher rpm, the welds exhibit very smooth surface morphologies. The grain size in the stir zone (SZ) is smaller than that in the base metal due to grain refinement. The hardness value at the weld zone is found less compared to base metal since the alloy is a heat treatable one as expected. The hardness can be regained to a good extend using suitable heat treatments. The hardness profile showed a substantial reduction in hardness in the heat affected zone (HAZ) especially in advancing side due to grain coarsening. Tensile test is done and the results show low tensile strength in weld metal compared to a base metal. Tensile strength of weld found increasing, according to an increase in the percentage of the first mode metal transfer.

There is always the feeling of anxiety and extremity, rootlessness, of loss of Belonging and the search for one's self and one's roots in the writing of the Indian English women poets. It is present at the core of the poet's being, this sense of alienation, the strange and unfamiliar stirrings of the soul, a craving for affiliation and strange nomadic gypsy thoughts. To fight for the dignity and true emancipation of women is the most difficult task, especially because it involves values and attitudes that are deeply rooted not only in the minds of men but also in the consciousness of women. These prominent English female poets have done justice to the poetry of anxiety and extremity, which indeed is laudable.

However, none has given attention to the stylistics of the speech as regards choice of mood and modality. This paper, therefore, examined choice of mood and modality in President Buhari's inaugural speech with a view to determining their functional significance. The researchers based their analysis of the data drawn from the inaugural on M.A.K. Halliday's systemic functional linguistics, because of its emphasis on form-function correlation in language use. Analysis revealed the predominant use of statements and modal auxiliaries expressing intention and obligation. The paper concluded that the choice of these linguistic forms was functionally significant, as it underlined the informative nature of the inaugural and the president's strong commitment to fulfilling his promises.

The strategies employed in teaching apart, the tense system of the L1 determines the learning of the system of L2 with either positive or negative evidences which in turn immensely influences the efficacy of teaching-learning practice of tense and aspect system. Languages that do not have a regular paradigm in terms of tense system and/or aspectual marking on the Verb Phrase (VP) overtly are many in number which obviously poses a challenge for the teacher dealing with the phenomenon. The paper concentrates on teaching simple, perfective and progressive aspect of English to learners from the Telugu linguistic community in whose language the tense system is not morphologically or clearly expressed. Finally, the paper suggestively proposes an analysis that comes to the aid of teaching-learning practice of the phenomenon of tense and aspect in second language learning classroom.

It was hypothesized that, these agents could induce hypoglycemia, through the mechanism of α-glucosidase inhibition. The aim of the present study was, to examine inhibition of alpha-glucosidase as one of the possible mechanisms of action, of bitter melon (Mormodicacharantia), dandelion (Taraxacumofficinale), blueberry (Vacciniumcorybosum), and roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa). Each of these agents has been used in the treatment of diabetes in, different parts of the world. The study was done in vitro, using α-glucosidase, obtained from Bacillus. The inhibitory effect of different concentrations of alcoholic extracts of the plants, on α-glucosidase was studied. The extracts of the plant showed inhibitory activities, against α-glucosidase, with IC50 values in a dose dependent manner. The result demonstrated that, bitter melon, roselle, dandelion, and blueberry share similar mechanism of action with Acarbose, which is being used as an antidiabetic agent.

But still, every day significant numbers of women are dying due to preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth; mostly in developing countries and in rural setting due to unavailability and/or poor quality maternal health services. Available health services are not also utilized properly due to lack of awareness and other socio-cultural factors. The objective of this paper was to review relevant literatures to describe the gap regarding policy prospective and maternal health service provision in Nepal. This paper built on a review of relevant literatures published in between 1990 and 2017. The review revealed that Nepal has provided topmost priority on maternal health since 1990 and it has been getting priority agenda in several policy papers. Progressive improvement in maternal health has been observed in between 1990 and 2017, but achieving national and international policy targets within the specified time frame are still challenging. It is needed to maximize efforts to sustain the current achievement and make further progress on maternal health.

Our purpose is to obtain, bias estimator and the associated risk function of different types of loss function, namely SELF absolute loss function, Linex loss function, Precautionary Loss function and entropy loss function. The purpose is to find out the most suitable loss function, amongst these five loss functions. In this paper, parameters of Pareto distribution have been estimated, by using the method of moments. The workability of the estimator is then compared, on the basis of their risks obtained under different loss functions. The relative efficiency of the estimator is also obtained. In the end, Monte-Carlo simulation has been performed, to compare performances of the bias estimates, under different situations.

The main objective of this study is to pattern recognition of children's stories with special reference to Jack tales, in order to find the distinction among these languages. We consider only the Jack tales, because, they have the same type of ideology among the characters of the stories. In this article, Jack tales are classified into two categories, namely Indian (Assamese and Bengali) and European (English) including thirty seven stories in total. Detailed statistical analyses have been performed by quantifying the texts and presenting them graphically. Non-parametric approaches have been used to test the significant differences among the texts under consideration. It has been shown that there exist significant differences among the writing patterns of these stories written by different authors in both the languages. The run test, confidence bands for empirical distribution functions, Smirnov test and Friedman Test are applied to recognize their writing patterns.

A typical assumption in the estimation process of causal inference is stationarity, which violates the applicability of existing statistical analysis techniques. For this purpose, the most recent numerical algorithm called Auto-Regressive Estimation (ARE) algorithm has been successfully applied to EEG Brain data for detecting diseases. This manuscript introduces its application, for the first time, to stock market data. The applications, here, can contribute to a substantially deeper understanding of stock market dynamics and interdependencies before, during and after the crisis. This provides investors and market players with valuable information, which enables them to efficiently selecting less risky portfolios. From this, I argue that the utilised algorithm provides novel information regarding the detection of early warnings, which previous approaches could not assess. Furthermore, the distinction between markets that will fall into a crisis and the ones that will not, was evidenced.

Using a linear combination between maximum likelihood method and Bayes method, we obtained new shrinkage estimator. Then simulation study will be used to compare between all estimators, to find the best (least mean square error) with different sample size and Mathlab program.

But, what does a horrible leader look like? And how do aspiring leaders avoid becoming one? Unfortunately, this is a time in which, horrible leaders thrive; they perform unethical and despicable acts everyday, in business. This narrative discusses on what horrible leaders do, how they act, and how their minds work.

The study was conducted to analyze the impact of honeybee keeping on the sustainable livelihoods development in Bajuar agency, Khyber PakhtunKhwa Pakistan. Primary data have been collected from randomly selected 80 beekeepers with the help of pretested schedule through research designed questionnaire. Descriptive statistics; frequency, mean and percentages were employed in data analysis. On average landholding of the beekeepers was 18.46 acres per household ranging from zero to 320 acres and the honey productivity per household was 1295 kg ranges from 10-6000 Kg. The mean beehives holding were 60.45 per household ranges from 2-665 hives. The average annual household income per beekeeper has been observed to be higher (Rs.527275) followed by the non-beekeeping sources (Rs.180300). The Pre and Post Beekeeping mean annual expenditures of the sample size household was Rs.164200 and Rs.257912 respectively. The major constraints listed by the beekeepers were shortage of effective bee flora during bee hives migration, pest and diseases attack, lack of professional training, extension services, credit facility and transportation. Most of the beekeepers have been observed to be potential or expand its production and productivity on sustainable basis.

Hemiplegia, is one of the most common impairments after stroke and contributes significantly, to reduce gait
performance. Dual task is defined by, simultaneous production of two tasks which is motor dual task and a cognitive dual
task. For those suffering from after effect of stroke, it helps them in a series of tasks that is done, in daily lives.
Therefore, the objective of the study was to assess and compare the combined effect of motor dual task training and
cognitive dual task training on gait, in subjects with sub-acute stroke.
Methods
Subjects were screened as per inclusion and exclusion criteria, that has got ischemic stroke.
A written informed consent was signed by the subject and was rehabilitated, for 5days a week, for 4 weeks.
They were divided into three groups, namely Group A (CDTT), Group B (MDTT) and Group C (CDTT&MDTT).
The intervention was, with the dual task training program; i.e., exercises involving cognitive dual task and motor dual task.
The outcome measures were SSQOL, BBS and FGAS. These scales were taken before intervention, at the interval
(2nd week) and after the intervention (4th week).
Results
Out of three groups, Group C (CDTT and MDTTT) improved significantly than group A and B. In Group C,
the SSQOL score improved from pre intervention mean of 133.6, to post intervention mean of 144.2. The BBS score
improved from pre intervention mean of 43.67, to post intervention mean of 50. The FGS score improved from pre
intervention mean of 18.73, to post intervention mean of 25.07.
Conclusion
Following the intervention, at the end of 4th week, results showed clinically and statistically, improved in the
SSQOL, BBS and FGAS scores, in Group C compared to Group A and B. Therefore, the increased scores of SSQOL,
BBS and FGAS signify that, the subject gait can be improved after combined effect of cognitive and motor dual task
training.
