    This paper aims to improve the calculation efficiency and accuracy of concrete damage degree identification, and then to analyze the damage mechanism of concrete damage. First, the correlation analysis and principal component analysis of 15 characteristic parameters of acoustic emission signals accompanying concrete uniaxial compression and splitting damage process are performed through which the dimension is reduced into 5 non-correlated principal components. Then, based on the analysis of the relationship between each principal component and the damage and cracking mechanism of concrete, the damage degree of concrete is identified as an input variable of the BP neural network. The results show that the 5 principal components effectively eliminate redundant information and carry information on the failure mechanism of concrete damage and the damage process.     To analyze the expression of leucine-rich and immunoglobulin-like domain gene1 (LRIG1) in pituitary tumor and its clinical significance. Patients were divided into two groups: hypophysoma group (n = 80) and normal group (normal brain tissue, n = 30). The immune tissue chemical streptavidin avidin-peroxidase was applied to detect the expression of LRIG1 of both groups and to analyze its relationship with the patients' prognosis. The positive expression rate of LRIG1 in normal brain tissues was significantly higher than that in pituitary adenomas (100% vs. 53.8%) (p < 0.05). The positive expression rate of LRIG1 in pituitary tumors was not significantly related to age and gender, the difference was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). The positive expression rate of LRIGl in non-invasive pituitary adenomas was higher than that in invasive pituitary tumors (68.4% vs. 21.7%), the difference was statistically significant (p < 0.05).     Based on the uncertain problem during the design of the fatigue life of drive axle housing assemble, entity model of drive axle housing assemble of some commercial vehicle is built by UG. According to national standard of the Bench Test, with finite element method, the finite element model is built and the static strength analysis is made by the FEM-software ABAQUS 6.8. On the base of the result of stress-strain analysis and the model validation, with the fatigue software FEMFAT 4.7D, the research on the cumulative damage and endurance limit safety factors is studied in terms of the Miner modified fatigue theory in the drive axle housing assemble. The results show that the model and method is reasonable and effective. It is helpful to optimize the structure parameter in the drive axle design through the optimization algorithm in the automobile.

    ABSTRACT A 3D numerical model is set up to simulate the tidal currents in the Changjiang estuary by ECOMSED model in this paper. This model has been validated with the measured data, the computed results of water level, flow velocity magnitude and direction agree well with the measured data. Based on the sediment grain size of riverbed in the North Branch, Dou guoren's formula is applied to calculate the sediment incipient velocity in the North Branch, which is compared with the computed bottom velocity fields to analyze the riverbed erosion and sediment deposition in the North Branch. The comparisons suggest that the hydrodynamic condition in the North Branch should be improved for meeting the navigation requirements. The research results can provide the government decision-maker for technical supports.

    A 3D numerical model is set up to simulate the tidal current and sediment transport in the Changjiang River estuary with ECOMSED model, which has been validated with the measured data, the computed results of water level, flow velocity magnitude and direction, and suspended sediment concentration agree well with the measured data. This paper analyzes the influence of Hengsha Passage on sediment deposition in the upper reach of the Deepwater Navigation Channel in the Changjiang River Estuary by use of this model, in order to explore the reason for the sediment deposition in the upper reach of the Deepwater Navigation Channel.

    The effect of calcium-based addition on the brominate flux during printed circuit board (PCB) pyrolysis was investigated. It was found that bromine (Br) can be effectively fixed in solid phase during PCB pyrolysis by adding calcium-based waste materials. Phenol and 4-ethylphenol are the major products of pyrolysis. When the two kinds of red mud were used as additive, their content was 85.25 and 84.81%, respectively, which was higher than others. The 2-bromophenol and 2-bromo-4-methyl-benzene are the main Br-containing pyrolysis volatiles. After adding calcium-based additive, these two volatiles were apparently reduced and only small amounts of 2-bromo-4-methyl-benzene were detected in the products, namely 0.71 and 0.86%, respectively for the two kinds of red mud. Hence, no matter from the perspective of product use or simple Br-fixing, the bromine in the three-phase products can be effectively regulated and controlled by adding calcium-based waste residue during PCB pyrolysis.     In the present study, we successively extracted the Pu-erh tea with acetone, water, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and n-butanol, and the extracts were then isolated by column chromatography. Our study demonstrates that the Pu-erh tea ethyl acetate extract, n-butanol extract, and their fractions had superoxide anion and hydroxyl radical scavenging activity: fractions 2 and 8 from the ethyl acetate extract and fractions 2, 4, and 5 from the n-butanol extract showed protective effects against hydrogen peroxide-induced damage in human fibroblast HPF-1 cells and increased the cells' viability under normal cell culture conditions. In addition, it is found that these fractions, except fraction 5 from the n-butanol extract, decreased the accumulation of intracellular reactive oxygen species in hydrogen peroxide-induced HPF-1 cells. Interestingly, the antioxidant effect of fraction 8 from the ethyl acetate extract on the above four systems was much stronger than that of the typical green tea catechin (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate, but there were almost no monomeric polyphenols, theaflavins, and gallic acid in fraction 8.

    The p16(INK4a) gene is a cell cycle inhibitor and a major tumour suppressor protein, but the regulation and effects on tumour cells' invasion process of p16(INK4a) is poorly known. A role for p16(INK4a) in basal cell carcinoma is suggested by the observation that p16(INK4a) was upregulated at the invasive front of the majority of basal cell carcinomas with infiltrative growth patterns, accompanied by cessation of proliferation. In this paper, we explore whether there is a difference of tumour cells' proliferative activity between the centre and the invasion front tissues of human colorectal cancer and its relationship with the expression and methylation status of p16(INK4a) gene. We obtained the centre and the invasion front tissues of colorectal cancer respectively by the technology of laser mircodissection. The expressions of the proliferating cell nuclear antigen ki67 and p16(INK4a) were assessed by immunohistochemistry, methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (MS-PCR) and reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in the different areas. There was a significant difference in the expressions of ki67 between the centre and the invasion front tissues (p < 0.05). The difference did not correlate with age, sex, Dukes stage but did correlate with expression of p16(INK4a) gene (chi(2) = 25.37, p < 0.01). Furthermore, hypermethylation of the promoter was the major mechanism of inactivation of p16(INK4a) in the centre areas. Demethylation of the p16(INK4a) promoter, the elevated expression of p16(INK4a) protein and mRNA level was proved in the invasion front. Our finding suggested that enhanced invasion in tumours was accompanied by ceased proliferation in the invasion fronts of human colorectal cancer. This interesting phenomenon may be due to not only the microenvironment, but also the molecular changes such as p16(INK4a) status.

    Th-cytokines play important roles in dacryoadenitis associated with Sjögren's syndrome (SS). The aims of this study were to (i) investigate whether interleukin (IL)-17, a newly identified Th-cytokine, participates in autoimmune dacryoadenitis of MRL/lpr mice and (ii) examine the relationships among IL-17, IL-4, and interferon (IFN)-γ in these mice. Three-month-old MRL/lpr mice with lacrimal gland inflammation and 3-month-old control BALB/c mice were used. Frozen sections of lacrimal glands and submandibular lymph nodes were stained with monoclonal antibodies to cytokines IL-17, IL-4, and IFN-γ. Concentrations of IL-17 in serum and 48-h splenocyte culture supernatants were detected by ELISA. Marked lacrimal gland inflammation was observed in all MRL/lpr mice but not in any BALB/c control mice. In the lacrimal glands of MRL/lpr mice, the proportions of cells that stained were 5 ± 3% for IL-17, 32 ± 14% for IL-4, and 4 ± 2% for IFN-γ. In the submandibular lymph nodes of MRL/lpr mice, expression of IL-17 and IL-4 was significantly higher than that of IFN-γ, and all three cytokines were significantly higher in MRL/lpr mice than in BALB/c mice. Concentrations of IL-17 in both serum and splenocyte culture supernatants of MRL/lpr mice were elevated compared to BALB/c controls. Since expression of IL-17 is elevated in 3-month-old MRL/lpr mice, we suggest that it plays a role in the pathophysiology of autoimmune dacryoadenitis in these mice.

    The programmed death-1 (PD-1) is a potent immunoregulatory molecule which is responsible for the negative regulation of T-cell activation and peripheral tolerance. In order to investigate the association between polymorphisms of PD-1 and breast cancer, a case-control study was conducted in Chinese female population consisting of 490 cases with breast cancer and 512 age-matched healthy individuals from Heilongjiang Province of China. Four polymorphisms of the PD-1 gene, including rs36084323 (PD-1.1), rs7421861, rs2227982 (PD-1.9), and rs2227981 (PD-1.5), were selected and genotypes were determined by the polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). The frequencies of PD-1.1 GG genotype and PD-1.5 CT genotype were significantly lower in cases compared with controls (P = 0.020 and 0.004, respectively), and PD-1.5 CC genotype and C allele had higher frequencies in cases (P = 0.003 and 0.010). In haplotype analysis, we observed that the frequencies of ATTC and GTCT haplotypes were lower in cases than those of in controls (P = 0.0055 and 0.0012, respectively), whereas the GTCC and ATCC haplotypes had higher frequencies in cases (P = 0.0040 and 0.00008037, respectively). Additionally, strong association was showed between PD-1.1 and P53, and haplotype CCTA was associated with ER status. These results primarily suggest that PD-1 gene polymorphisms may affect the breast cancer risk and prognosis in Chinese Han females of Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China.
