Dünyada var olan her şey gibi, kentler ve kentlerin sahip oldukları değerlerde değişim gösterirler. Bu yüzden bir kenti meydana getiren mahallelerden, mahalleleri meydana getiren sokaklara ve onu şekillendiren mimari elemanlar ve unsurlara kadar tüm bileşenler olumlu veya olumsuz bir değişim ve gelişim süreci geçirirler. Erzurum kenti de tarihsel niteliği nedeniyle bu değişimden en büyük oranda payını alan kentlerin başında gelmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı bu değişimin boyutlarını ortaya koymak, bu sürecin olumlu ve olumsuz taraflarını belirlemek ve kentin geleceği ve genel gelişime göre doğru veya yanlış yönde olup olmadığımızı görsel materyaller kullanarak göstermektir. Street greening in urban settings fails due to several extreme conditions or inappropriate plant species and compositions. In recent years, urban transformations have been carried out in Erzurum, one of the most important cities of the Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. Seventeen different plant designs produced in computer medium for the Cumhuriyet Street, the most important street of the city and a trade center, were evaluated using visual landscape quality method. The designs were rated by 150 city questioners for color, size and form and the results were evaluated using the SPSS statistics software. The most preferred plant designs for the street had spherical form, pink color, slight texture and 1.5-2 meters tall. In addition, the proportion of closure in the plant designs produced in our study was computed and it was compared with the results of the analysis. The results are important in putting the outcomes into practice regarding the participation of public in the reformation of urban living areas.

Kentler yaşayan varlıklar olup doğar, zaman içerisinde gelişip büyür ve değişirler. Kentler bu süreç içerisinde sahip oldukları varlık, kültür ve karakterlerin bir kısmını korur, bir kısmını değiştirir ve bir kısmını da kaybederler. Erzurum kenti, kuruluşu çok eski tarihlere dayanan bir kent olup, doğal süreçlerin bir gereği olarak büyük bir değişim yaşamıştır. Üzerinde kurulan pek çok uygarlıktan etkilenen, izler ve miraslar barındıran kent, sonunda modernleşen ve kompleksleşen kent anlayışına yenilmiştir. Bu değişimin en büyük ve en çarpıcı örnekleri ise tarihsel nitelikli anıtlar, geleneksel konutlar ve mahallelerde görülmektedir. Erzurum city heads the list of the cities under the influence of such a change to a great extent due to its historical qualification, too. Bazen tek tip kentlerin karsimiza ciktigi bu calismalarda kentsel dokuyu olusturan cevre bilesenlerinin dogru okunamamasindan dolayi, kentler kimliksizlesmekte ve ozgunlugunu yitirmektedir. Kentlerde cadde agaclandirmalari; uygunsuz bitki turleri kullanimlari ve ekstrem kosullardan dolayi cogu zaman basarisiz olur. Turkiye’nin Dogu Anadolu Bolgesi’nin onemli kentlerinden olan Erzurum kenti son yillarda kentsel donusum sureci icerisine girmistir. Şehir merkezinde onemli bir odak noktasi olan Cumhuriyet Caddesi uzerinde simulasyon teknigi kullanilarak ana aksda 17 farkli bitkisel tasarim calismasi yapilmistir. Bitkilerle form, olcu, doku ve renk ozelliklerine gore farkli kompozisyonlar olusturularak alani kullanan 150 kisi ile birebir anket calismasi yapilmistir. Anketlerin degerlendirilmesinde SPSS istatistik yazilimi kullanilarak varyans analizi yapilmistir. Sonucta en cok yuvarlak/kuresel formlu, 1,5-2m uzunlugunda, pembe renkli, hafif teksturlu agaclarin olusturdugu bitki kompozisyonu tercih edilmistir. In our country, particularly the Constitution, Civil Code, Cadastre Law, Coastal Law and relevant regulations state that the coasts are under the provision and possession of the government, cannot be subject of private ownership, and are primarily for purpose of the public welfare. However, the legislation in effect both in the Ottoman Empire time and the Republic era (until 1972) enabled the coasts to be subject of private ownership, and privately owned ownerships developed on the coasts under the government guarantee. Also, delays in determination of the “Shore Border Line” (SBL) delimiting the coastal area further caused these areas to be the subject of private ownership. The mentioned problem is also being observed along the coastline of Artvin Province. The SBL determination work was started on the Black Sea coastline of the Artvin province which is about 33 km long, in mid 1970s and completed in the year 2012. Kamusal mekânlar toplumun her kesimi tarafindan yogun olarak kullanilan alanlardir. Bu nedenle buralardaki peyzaj tasarim calismalarinin toplumun her kesiminden kullanici ihtiyaclarini karsilayabilecek yeterlilikte olmasi beklenir. Tasarim yapilirken tasarim kriterleri ve teknik standartlar tasarimciyi yonlendirmektedir. Bu calisma ile Peyzaj mimarligi tasarim calismalarinda tasarlama ve uygulama asamalarindaki temel sanat prensiplerinin ve Gestalt ilkelerinin, somut bir ornek uzerinde ortaya konulmasi amaclanmistir. Projede vurgu ogesi olarak kullanilan su elemani, bitkisel tasarim alanlari, toren alani ve otopark alanlari yer almis ve alanin kent ile iliskilendirmesi yapilmistir.

Public places are areas used heavily by all part of the community and that is why landscape designing efforts in public places should efficiently satisfy the needs of all the users in the community. During the designing stages, design criteria and technical standards guide the designers. With this study, it was aimed to reveal basic art principals and the Gestalt guidelines in design and application stages of environmental arrangements related to Landscape Architecture on an embodiment example. In the project, there is water element used as an emphasizing unit as well as vegetative design areas, ceremonial places and parking lots and the study area was associated with the city.

Erzurum kentinde artan kentlesme hareketleri halkin rekreasyonel alanlara gereksinimini de artirmaktadir. Hobi bahceleri insanlarin dogayla iliskilerini yeniden duzenleme, ekonomik katki saglama, kentlere yesil alanlar kazandirma acisindan onemlidir. Bu calismada; halkin genel bir hobi bahcesine olan ihtiyac ve egilimleri anketle belirlenmis ve sonuclar ki-kare (x2) testi ile degerlendirilmistir. Ankete katilan kisilerin % 66'sinin hobi bahcesinin ne oldugunu daha once duymadiklari tespit edilmis, hobi bahceleri hakkinda bilgi verildikten sonra ayni kisilerin % 85'i hobi bahcelerinin Erzurum icin gerekli oldugunu bildirmislerdir. Bu kisilerin kisisel istekleri dogrultusunda; kente yakin, icerisinde cogunlukla sebze ve meyve yetistirilebilecek rekreasyonel alt ve ust yapi elemanlarina ile duzenlenmis hobi bahcesinin tercih edildigi sonucuna varilmistir.
