ALVIN TOFFLER, sociólogo, analista y doctor en Letras, Leyes y Ciencia, es uno de los escritores ... more ALVIN TOFFLER, sociólogo, analista y doctor en Letras, Leyes y Ciencia, es uno de los escritores de referencia para conocer la evolución del mundo moderno. Pero, además, ahora es para mí una base intelectual para poder aventurar alguna de las consecuencias que puede tener la situación de pandemia que está viviendo el mundo. Toffler enunció en su libro La tercera ola, allá por el remoto 1979, como la humanidad ha ido acelerando sus cambios cada vez más. Desde la revolución agrícola, pasando por la era Industrial, para desembocar en esa Tercera Ola de la cibernética, la comunicación masiva e internet. Además, este hombre futurista resumió en una frase algo convertido en guía para este siglo XXI: "Los analfabetos del siglo XXI no serán quienes no puedan leer ni escribir, sino los que no puedan aprender, desaprender y reaprender". Pues bien, ambas cuestiones han sido reflexiones necesarias para la Transformación Digital en la que se sumergió lentamente el mundo a partir de los años 90. Lentamente porque la sociedad comenzó a darse cuenta de que la tecnología introducía además nuevos hábitos, nuevos consumos y hacía cambiar los perfiles de los consumidores. Nacían nuevas necesidades y desaparecían otras originándose por tanto nuevos perfiles de clientes, de usuarios yen definitiva-de personas. A parte de esa sociedad le costó demasiado leer ese nuevo mundo que amanecía y no entendió bien que-parafraseando a Toffler-había que desaprender lo aprendido. Comenzaban a cambiar ciertos paradigmas de la sociedad y empezaban a asomar nuevos ecosistemas económicos, nuevas empresas y por tanto nuevos profesionales. La tecnología se convirtió en una obligación y en torno a ella, a sus nuevas versiones, se crearon centros industriales, de negocio y de investigación. Lentamente, pero desde el principio ya de una forma muy determinante. Ese camino calmoso se aceleró cuando llegó la crisis del 2008, buscando en la Transformación Digital, una forma de mejorar la productividad y por tanto las cuentas de resultados tan castigadas entonces. Pero, hete aquí, que en este año 2020, aparece el gran fenómeno social agitador de la pandemia del covid-19. Los virus se extienden por el mundo, las poblaciones se confinan y como consecuencia las economías se hunden y las personas reaprenden una forma distinta de vivir, de relacionarse y de consumir. Toma más velocidad el cambio. Se va dibujando un nuevo contexto social con un acceso ya masivo a contenidos digitales, con la consolidación de nuevos canales de venta, el asentamiento de los medios online, y la conquista de nuevas audiencias de todos los targets-hasta hace poco asidos a los modos analógicos del siglo XX-que ya irremediablemente se suben a la nueva realidad digital. Es decir, la Tercera Ola se consolida y se ratifica con la epidemia como gran catalizador del cambio. No hay marcha atrás. No valen ya los análisis tímidos. Ya no es preciso convencer y evangelizar de un cambio que se aproximaba. El nuevo momento ya está aquí, es visible y se ha materializado mucho antes de lo esperado. (Publicado en Mundiario). El fútbol tiene que evolucionar, acompasarse a los tiempos y, sin perder su dosis de espectacularidad, modernizar sus herramientas de control. No es entiende que entrenadores, periodistas o público tengan más información que el árbitro. El fútbol, el gran deporte de nuestro país, el enorme negocio de empresas y clubes, el gran escenario del Marketing millonario, parece empeñarse en quedar anclado a los modelos de control y arbitraje del Siglo XX. Entendiendo que el fútbol no deja de ser un juego en el que el objetivo es introducir un balón entre unos palos resulta cuanto menos paradójico que todas las decisiones se dejen en manos de unos pseudo profesionales que deben decidir sobre si se cumplen o no las normas del reglamento. Lo deciden basándose en lo que captan directamente sus sentidos, lo que son capaces de ver o no ver o lo que oyen o no oyen de lo que dicen los jugadores. Todo ello corriendo de aquí para allá por el campo y propulsados por sus propias piernas. La paradoja es aún máxima cuando ese juego es examinado de una forma exhaustiva por las cámaras de TV, los fotógrafos y un cúmulo de programas y tecnología que permiten al espectador en local o remoto saber mucho mejor que el árbitro si la pelota entró o no en la portería o si ese delantero fue víctima de una zancadilla o ha realizado un piscinazo. No se imaginan ustedes la cantidad de ojos profesionales que están pendientes de lo que ocurre en el campo, de empresas que su modelo de negocio es informar y conocer en tiempo real lo que realmente sucede. Hasta ahora el fútbol, o mejor dicho sus gestores, han preferido ir sumando componentes al equipo arbitral antes que decidirse a utilizar las mismas herramientas de las que gozan los espectadores que, sentados en sus gradas o en sus casas, saben al instante si el hombre de negro ha cometido una pifia o no. En nuestras casas, ante el televisor, lo vemos en cámara superlenta, examinamos si la estirada hacia atrás de Casillas logró o no en primer término sacar el balón antes de entrar a puerta, conocemos si Koke le pegó o no a Di María cuando iba hacia puerta y hasta podemos saber si Varane dijo o no dijo lo que Simeone denuncia que dijo. Pero, eso sí, el árbitro, sus ayudantes de banda, el cuarto árbitro y los árbitros de fondo, no pueden beber en esas mismas fuentes que nosotros bebemos. ¿Por qué? Pues porque nos dicen que sino el fútbol se deshumaniza, que pierde sus atractivos y que sino ya nada será como antes. Eso sí, cada día en los estadios raro es el espectador que no maneja su Smartphone o hasta su Tablet apuntando hacia el campo y utilizando su cámara u otras aplicaciones mucho más sofisticadas. Cada uno de esos dispositivos, no lo olvidemos, es un potente computador capaz de soportar complicados desarrollos tecnológicos que, en muy poco tiempo, les dirán a sus usuarios si el gol ha sido gol o no, si la zancadilla ha sido dentro del área y si el portero está perdiendo demasiado tiempo. Si hace poco pudimos ver a miembros del equipo técnico del Atlético de Madrid o Real Madrid equipados con Google Glass, en breve veremos a muchos espectadores con este y otros dispositivos de lo que se llama Wearable Technology-o tecnología que se viste – que utilizan Realidad Aumentada para informarse y verificar lo que ocurre frente al que las lleva.
