However, due to the lack of anthropometric data base for the IDC one can’t determine how suitable these tools is except to say that anecdotal evidence indicates that improvements may be necessary for comfort, health and safety. In this paper, eighteenth hand dimensions were collected for the Jordanian population from different sectors. Furthermore, both Multivariate Linear Regression and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System have been formulated, built, and compared to predict a set of hand dimensions as a function of several hand anthropometric dimensions including age, body weight, gender, and stature. The models were compared to the actual measured values in order to determine the error of both prediction techniques and validate the results. The paper emphasizes that it is necessary to develop a precis...

The use of computerized maintenance management systems, which are commonly referred to as CMMS, is no longer a luxury or frivolous business overhead; in many cases, it is requirement. Enterprises that want to attain ISO, QS certification will discover that application of CMMS is a fundamental requirement to successfully obtain and maintain such certifications. A variety of software packages are available, and many have been around for a number of years. Today, CMMS are used for all aspects of maintenance planning, management and control. CMMS must be flexible and adaptable, because every firm is considered unique. A general guide has been developed, which can easily be applied to specific situations to assist in justifying the computer for Maintenance System Evaluation (MSE). MSE has always required...

ERP is a packaged software system that enables enterprises to integrate operations, business processes and functions through common database. However, the majority of ERP systems do not support Preventive Maintenance (PM) scheduling process. The objective of PM is to minimize equipment downtime using the limited resources of an organization. Therefore, prioritizing PM activities for equipment is essential. In this paper, a fuzzy logic-based system for PM scheduling is proposed to interpret the linguistic variables extracted from expert's knowledge for determining equipment priorities, which could be incorporated as a custom module in ERP systems. The system was tested and proved to be reliable in solving PM scheduling problem.
