    This article departs from the philosophy held by the Toraja people, namely To Sangserekan, where the author sees this as an opportunity to create environmental ethics in the Torajan people who are responsible for the universe, because in the philosophy held by the Toraja people in the concept of To Sangserekan they consider nature as part of even their brothers. In this research, the author uses a qualitative approach by searching and collecting data through various research books, theological and general journals or research libraries which discuss in more depth the To Sangserahan Philosophy, Environmental Ethics, and Environmental Ethics from the To Sangserahan Philosophy. The results of this research found that understanding the concept of To Sangserekan as a guideline for responsible and sustainable behavior towards nature. Research shows that this philosophy teaches awareness of the close relationship between humans and nature, as well as shared responsibility in maintaining ecosystem balance. The implication is that this research can provide useful insights in designing more effective environmental conservation policies and programs in the Toraja region and similar communities.
