    Imagine where we are in 2019. We are still living in best possible way, we gather, we socialize, and we celebrate plenty of things together with our loved one without worry. The 2019 is just two years ago, but in certainly feels like longer than that. Now, we are at the year of 2021. The pandemic has beeb with us for 17 months now. The countres all over the worlds loosen and tighten its boreder as the pandemics evolve into certainty when the vaccinations held. Indees, the catastrophic of the pandemics didn't just leave us behind, many of us losing out loved one and in grief.     The phenomenon of non-Muslim leaders in Indonesia has given pros and cons in society. Those pros and cons do not only appear among the general public but also appear among students. This study analyzes the views of Muslim students at ‘Aisyiyah University Yogyakarta (UNISA) about the phenomenon of non-Muslim leaders in Indonesia. This research became important considering the last two issues that have emerged in the study of Islam in Indonesia, namely religious intolerance and moderation in few years. The type of this research is mixed qualitative-quantitative field research. The research findings show that there are two kinds of views of UNISA Muslim students about non-Muslim leaders; First, Muslim students who disagree about non-Muslim leaders.     The use of cadar becomes a controversial discussion in Indonesia. However, the majority of scholars consider the cadar is not an obligation in religion. Bearing in mind, there are differences in the limits of women's genitalia or awrat. It shows in the Quranic interpretation of literature in Indonesia that cadar's views lie in the different scholars in interpreting and determining the limits of women's genitalia. This paper uses a comparative method to compare the interpretations of Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy and Quraish Shihab in understanding verses about the cadar and the limits of women's Awrat (genitalia) in both interpretations.     Religion should be a source of inspiration for the completion of any  problems that exist in society. Religion has a very important part in the resolution of current issues that developed in the middle of the race. Here, the Qur'an and the Sunnah as the primary sources of Islam should be a solution to the existing problem. So, how is that al-Qur'an and Sunnah can be a solution for Muslims in facing the current issues? Al-Qur'an and Sunnah should be understood in its context returned in the current era. Interpretationmethodology should also experiencing growth.     This study discusses the characteristics of the Qur'an interpretations in Indonesia which appeared in the last ten years (2000-2010). The focus of the study is to reveal and analyze the diversity and uniqueness of the Qur'an interpretations in Indonesia within 2000-2010 in terms of interpretation methods/ approach, interpretation style, and typology of thought interpretation. In spite of tracking the new trends that occur, this study also analyzes the contribution of Indonesian interpretation in the development of contemporary Qur'an tafseer thinking. This study employed a historical-sociological-critical approach and a contemporary Qur’an hermeneutic approach.     This research aims to reveal the historical roots and elements of the background for the formation of the Orang Rimba’s religion. This study is based on field research with a descriptive approach of religious phenomenon. The research derives some conclusions: (1) the Orang Rimba is monotheist, that is, they are not adherents to dynamism, polytheism, or animism as it has been understood. (2) The history of the Orang Rimba’s religion is affected by two elements; namely, Rimba culture and Islamic culture. (3) Evidence suggests that Islam is one element of Orang Rimba’s religion as the following: (a) Mantra of Getting Honey, such as Basmallah, Allah, Istighfar, Muhammad and Ya Karim ; (b) Orang Rimba Faith in God, the Prophet Muhammad, the Angel and Doomsday; (c) the values of the ceremony of Death: Ratib Laa Ilaha Illallah; and (d) the values of the ceremony Berdekir .     Hamka dengan tafsirnya sebenarnya lebih dikenal dengan tafsir bi al-matsur, dan karenanya mungkin saja tidak mungkin menemukan isu sains dalam tafsirnya. Terlebih hal tersebut bukan kajian utama para peneliti ketika mengkaji tafsir Hamka. Namun jika dilihat lagi dengan seksama tafsir ini justru kaya dengan corak dan metode dari berbagai referensi tafsir sehingga memungkinkannya memasukan berbagai hal dalam tafsirnya, tak terkecuali isu sains. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis teks, data dari penelitian ini di ambil dari tafsir al-Azhar karya Hamka dan sumber yang bersesuain dengan tema penelitian.     This article discusses Tafsir At-Tanwir (2016), a work composed by the Majelis Tarjih dan Tajdid PP Muhammadiyah. The focus of this study is to reveal the background behind the writing of Tafsir At-Tanwir, in addition to the exploration of methods and approaches used in this work. It will also observe the extent to which the exegetical materials of this work respond to the current issues. The article is a library research with descriptive-critical-analytic method. The lens of contemporary tafsir paradigm is also used as the approach to analyse the data. From the analysis that has been carried out, this research concludes several important remarks. First, in addition to being written with the aim of utilizing the symbolic capital of the people derived from the guidance of the Qur’an in order to awaken their ethos and build a progressive Indonesian civilization, the birth of Tafsir At-Tanwir is a form of Muhammadiyah’s commitment which from the beginning stood up to al-Ruju ‘ila al-Qu...

    Kajian terhadap al-Qur’an selama ini telah dilakukan dari berbagai segi, terutama dari segi penafsirannya. Dimana setiap penafsiran selalu menunjukkan perkembangan yang cukup signifikan, bahkan sejak al-Qur’an tersebut di turunkan hingga sekarang. Setiap karya tafsir dalam khazanah intelktual Islam tidak akan pernah bisa untuk dilepaskan dari realitas, tujuan, kepentingan, dan tendensi tertentu. Jika dicermati munculnya dan berkembangnya karya-karya tafsir selama ini dari generasi kegenarasi tentu memiliki corak, karakteristik dan bahkan tipologi yang berbeda-beda. Bahkan setiap karya tafsir yang lahir memiliki bias kepentingan yang berbeda-beda. Banyak faktor yang melatarbelakanginya. Salah satunya adalah adanya perbedaan situasi sosio–historis dimana sang penafsir hidup. Tidak terkecuali adalah karya-karya tafsir di Indonesia yang perkembangan. Dengan kerangka teori yang diarahkan pada pembacaan terhadap karya tafsir di Indonesia dari dua wilayah: (1) aspek metodologi karya tafsir, dan (2) aspek tipologi karya tafsir. Dengan dua wilayah tersebut kajian ini berusaha untuk menyingkap keunikan-keunikan dari segala aspek yang telah terjadi di dalamnya. Dalam kajian ini, karya tafsir yang dikaji sebanyak 29 karya. Dari jumlah tersebut telah ditemukan bahwa semua karya menggunakan metode tematik (maudhu>’i>). Model tafsir tematik ini kemudian dikelompokkan menjadi dua bagian, yaitu: model tafsir tematik klasik dan model tafsir tematik modern. Pertama, dari jumlah 29 karya tafsir yang dikaji 5 diantaranya masuk ke dalam model tematik klasik; dan kedua, dari jumlah 29 karya tafsir yang dikaji, 24 diantaranya masuk ke dalam model tematik modern. Kemudian dari jumlah 24 karya tafsir yang masuk ke dalam model tamatik modern ini dikelompokkan lagi ke dalam dua kelompok, yaitu: tafsir tematik modern singular dan tafsir tematik modern plural. Untuk tematik modern singular telah ditemukan sebanyak 10 karya sedangkan untuk tafsir tematik modern plural telah ditemukan sebanyak 14 karya. Sedangkan dari segi tipologi karya tafsir tolok ukur yang digunakan adalah quasi-obyektifis tradisionalis, subyektivis dan quasi-obyektivis modernis. Dari analisis yang telah dilakukan terhadap 29 karya tafsir yang dikaji setidaknya ada 17 karya tafsir quasi-obyektifis tradisionalis. Sedangkan untuk pandangan subyektivis dari karya tafsir yang dikaji, belum ada satupun yang masuk pandangan subyektivis. Masih banyak para mufasir yang terlalu mensyakralkan metodologi yang telah mapan dalam ulum al-Qur’an dan tidak berani menggunakan ilmu bantu baru lainnya yang berkembang sehingga banyak produk tafsir yang stagnan. Kelompok ini masih hati-hati dan enggan menggunakan metode kontemporer, seperti hermeneutika. Kelompok inipun memandang metodologi baru seperti hermeneutika tidak layak dan tidak syah digunakan, bahkan mengharamkan. Kemudian untuk tiopologi yang ketiga, dari 29 karya tafsir yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini ada sebanyak 12 karya tafsir masuk golongan quasi-obyektivis modernis. Produk tafsir seperti tipologi yang ketiga inilah yang diharapkan mampu memberikan kontribusi dan solusi bagi problematika kontemporer yang tengah berkembang. Karena prinsip dasar tipologi ini adalah kontekstualisasi ayat dengan tanpa meninggalkan makna asal (original meaning) ayat.
