In India over 190 million of Adolescence was living it is nearly 20% of the total population. Adolescence stage is one of the most important age of life in all the societies of the world, may it be ancient or modern. Adolescence is a period which begins with teenage years and ends with the general recession of growth. Likewise, adolescence is a stage between childhood and adulthood when the individual is deal with a series of developmental challenges, for example, attaining growing independence from the family or fulfilling new social roles with peers. The experience of adolescents during teen years would differ significantly according to the cultural and social values of the network of social identities they grow in. In fact this is the age, which has stimulated up a massive amount of anxiety in the minds of parents, and rightly has it also put a great stress on the adolescents themselves. This study was done with the sample size of 400 students from eight different schools in Coimbatore district to analyze the academic stress and coping strategies of adolescents in relation to their personality. Sample was selected on the basis of simple random sampling method. Questionnaire was used to collect data from the sample respondents. Correlation and t-test was used to analyze the data.

Banking has become one of the highly competitive sectors in India. Since the beginning of this decade, banking organizations have been facing greater challenges in terms of technological revolution, service diversification and global banking. Stress is unavoidable on the part of the employees as the systems, procedures; techniques are getting complicated with the use of advance technology. Every employee cannot cope with such rapid changes taking place in the job. This may raise the stress of employees. The present research paper finds the reasons of stress among the bank employees and the measures taken by employees to cope the stress generated at workplace. It was found that a large number of employees in banks remained stressed. Majority of the employees tried to find solution to relieve them from stress. The paper suggests measures to overcome stress that affects their physical and mental health.

The genesis of stress research was in 1914, when Walter Cannon – a noted physiologist an early pioneer of stress for the first time described body " s reaction to stress. He identified stress reaction as " fight or flight, " an involuntary response that occurs in an emergency situation in which an individual must either confront or escape from a dangerous situation. Teaching profession was once viewed as a " low stress occupation " and they have been envied for tenure, light workload, flexibility and other perks such as foreign trips for study and conference. However, so me recent studies suggest that college faculty is among the most stressed occupational group. The present study was conducted to explore the faculty perception towards occupational stress using established questionnaire, data collected from five departments in the private colleges. To find opinion about teaching and handling students, to find out the stress creators, to find out techniques applied by the College faculties for managing stress.

and conference. But, many recent studies reveals that
college faculty is among the most stressed occupational
group. The present study was conducted to explain the
teachers’ perception towards occupational stress using
established questions, data were collected from five
different self-financing colleges. To collect the opinion
about teaching and handling students, to find out the
stress creators, to analysis of sharing stress problems
faced by the College teachers.
