Purpose: This paper aims to introduce the technology’s role and the final demand in the textile clothing industry’s growth path (TCI) of Bangladesh. Methodology: This study applies structural decomposition analysis in the input-output framework to measure Bangladesh’s textile–clothing industry structural changes. Structural decomposition analysis is also known as growth accounting in literature. Findings: This paper finds that, from 1975 to 1995, the TCI has grown due to huge domestic demand, from 1995 to 2015, this industry has grown due to export expansion. The technology was never a key factor over low–cost labor for the development of TCI in Bangladesh. Implications: For the sustainable development of the TCI in Bangladesh, domestic demand expansion is significant. Private and public policies should reflect this expansionary (domestic demand expansion) strategy. Originality: Previous studies on the TCI were mainly descriptive; there was no decomposition analysis in the input-out...

The study is about an analysis of the customers’ satisfaction towards the services provided by BASIC Bank Limited. Customers’ satisfaction regarding the services of the bank depends on several factors. So, first of all, in order to analyze customers’ satisfaction level, factors which are used as the performance measurement criteria of BASIC Bank are analyzed. This study is based on both primary and secondary data. The primary data were collected from the customers of BASIC bank from different branches of Dhaka and Khulna city. After collection of primary data, hypotheses were formulated and Z-test was used to test the hypotheses with 0.05 level of statistical significance. The statistical computer package SPSS version 16.0 was used to analyze the data. The recommendations were provided based on the research findings and analysis.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate and determine the key antecedents of intermediary social responsibility (ISR) and its outcomes. Design: The conceptual framework was designed through exploratory research design where structural relationships were shown with partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with smart PLS 3. Findings: The result showed that intermediary self -interest is the strongest predictor of intermediary social responsibility along with consumer ethical aspect has moderate impact but societal and environmental factors do not predict of intermediary social responsibility. Research Limitation/implication: The theoretical contribution of the study is to minimize the knowledge gap by widening the length of existing literature related to the aspect of consumer research. Intermediary social responsibility would help to build up nexus between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and consumer social responsibility (CNSR) which brings po...

Purpose: This paper attempts to identify the variables affect on increase in usages of mobile banking and how these variables affect on them due to the variation of gender, age, education and occupation. Design/methodology/approach: Through literature review some factors have identified and after pilot survey the factors have been finalized. Purposive sampling technique has been used and the sample size is 100. A structured questionnaire with 5 point likert scale has been used to interview the respondents. Descriptive statistics (mean) is used to analysis the data and rank order the variable based on the mean value. Findings: The rapid increase in mobile phone users and increasing in attractiveness of mobile banking services in Bangladesh is giving opportunity to the banks to tap into the market previously untouched. People of different age, income, education, occupation etc. are using mobile bank in Bangladesh as because of Fast (instant) service, availability, easier to use, faste...

The study is mainly based on the primary data collected through interview by structured questionnaire from 120 employees of different commercial bank in Dhaka city. In this study, the authors considered eight major factors of emotional intelligence which are responsible for developing human capital of private commercial banks in Bangladesh. The data were analyzed by using the multi-variable regression model. Findings- Outcome from this field study and survey recognized These relationships and shakes sound with the presented literature and set up the hypothesis. Practical implications- The study reveals that commitment, optimism and self-awareness are the most significantly correlated to the development of human capital and resilience, emotional regulation, compassion, personal integrity and interpersonal connectivity are also correlated with the development of human capital. Therefore, the authority of banks should give emphasis on commitment, optimism, self-awareness and other factors of the employees through proper counseling for ensuring the development of human capital and also should create learning organizational for gaining sustainable competitive advantage through the existing human resources so that the individual and organizational goals can be attained. Originality/value- This study provides a conceptual model which will be helpful for developing human capital of banking sector in Bangladesh through the changing of emotional intelligence of employees.

Moreover, this paper decomposes the growth of the TCI into technical effect and final demand effect, which are new in the ready-made garment industry of Bangladesh.
