Nakhon Phanom is a border province in the Northeast of Thailand. It is located alongside the bank of the Mekong River and is opposite to Khammuon Province of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. In the past, Nakhon Phanom was the location of Srikotaboon Kingdom and it is one of the provinces where Vietnamese people migrated to and also was asylum of President Ho Chi Minh, the first president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, from 1928 to 1929. Nakhon Phanom is also ranked
as the happiest province in Thailand of 2012. According to its geography and history, Nakhon Phanom has become a province of multiple ethnic and cultural identities - Thai, Lao and Vietnamese. This article stands on the Space concept of Henri Lefebvre to analyze the relation between social space and physical space that created the following social products, Nakhon Phanom Thai - Vietnamese Association, Thai-Vietnam Friendship Village and Nakhon Phanom-Hanoi Friendship Center. Besides, Lao and the Vietnamese language are included among the basic education courses. Even though
each ethnic community has individual identity in language, religion and culture, they have a strong collective identity through annual religious festivals namely; Phra That Phanom Worship Festival, Fire Boat Festival and New Year Festival. Those festivals represent, in terms of the Pluralism concept of William James, the acceptance of racial and cultural differences of all ethnic groups in Nakhon Phanom which leads to a unified community.

Nakhon Phanom is also ranked as the happiest province in Thailand of 2012. According to its geography and history, Nakhon Phanom has become a province of multiple ethnic groups and cultural identities - Thai, Lao and Vietnamese. This paper stands on Space concept of Henri Lefebvre to analyze the relation between social space and physical space that created the following social products, Thai-Lao Friendship Association, Nakhon Phanom Thais Race Vietnamese Associate, Thai-Vietnam Friendship Village and Nakhon Phanom-Hanoi Friendship Center. Besides, Lao and Vietnamese languages are put into the basic education courses. Those festivals represent the event in Pluralism concept of William James showing the acceptance of racial and cultural differences of all ethnic groups in Nakhon Phanom which leads to a unified community.

Hệ thống thanh điệu tiếng Việt của Việt kiều thế hệ trẻ (20 đến 40 tuổi) chịu ảnh hưởng bởi cơ chế đơn giản hóa (nhân tố bên trong) và hiện tượng giao thoa ngôn ngữ do tiếp xúc với hệ thống thanh điệu tiếng Thái, tiếng Isan và tiếng Lào (nhân tố bên ngoài). So với hệ thống thanh điệu tiếng Việt gốc, thanh ngang và thanh huyền là hai thanh không biến đổi trong khi thanh hỏi, thanh ngã và thanh nặng đã biến đổi do cả hai nhóm nhân tố trên, còn thanh sắc chỉ biến đổi do nhân tố bên ngoài. Ngoài ra, một đặc điểm nổi bật của thanh điệu tiếng Việt là chất giọng nói chung, hiện tượng tắc thanh hầu nói riêng có xu hướng mất đi hoàn toàn trong tương lai do cơ chế đơn giản hóa.

Abstract:
The Vietnamese tonal system of the young Viet Kieu generations (aged 20 - 40) was affected by the simplification mechanism (internal factors) and the language interference phenomenon due to language contact with the Thai, Isan and Lao tonal systems (external factors).  To compare with the original Vietnamese tonal system, thanh Ngang and thanh Huyền are the tones which have no variation, while the thanh Hỏi, thanh Ngã and thanh Nặng tones have variation because of both factors. The tone, thanh Sắc has variation because of external factors only. Moreover, the outstanding feature of Vietnamese tones is the voice quality in general, and the glottalization phenomenon in particular will be completely lost in the future due to the simplified mechanism.

Bài nghiên cứu này có mục đích để phân tích vấn đề phát âm thanh điệu tiếng Thái của người Việt Nam ba vùng miền. Giao thoa ngôn ngữ chính là nguyên nhân có ảnh hưởng đến vấn đề phát âm thanh điệu tiếng Thái của người Việt Nam ba vùng miền. Còn nhân tố về phương ngữ có ảnh hưởng đến vấn đề phát âm thanh điệu tiếng Thái khác nhau của người Việt Nam mỗi vùng miền. Thanh thô /3/ là một thanh duy nhất gây khó khăn về phát âm cho người Việt Nam ba vùng miền vì đặc trưng của nó không xuất hiện trong hệ thống thanh điệu tiếng Việt. Thanh tri /4/ gây khó khăn về phát âm nhiều nhất riêng cho người miền Bắc Việt Nam. Trong khi thanh tri /4/ và thanh chặt-tạ-va /5/ gây khó khăn về phát âm cho người miền Trung Việt Nam. Còn thanh xả-măn /1/ và thanh ệk /2/ gây khó khăn riêng cho người miền Nam Việt Nam. Kết quả nghiên cứu này có thể giúp cải thiện việc giảng dạy tiếng Thái nói chung, cách phát âm thanh điệu tiếng Thái nói riêng cho người Việt Nam cả ba vùng miền.
