procreatione in Plato Timaeo 1014a-f).
Aspiramos a esgrimir

Against the usual denomination of minor or socratic applied to the early dialogues, and against the idea
that Plato in these dialogues takes absolutely all of his teacher and plays his conversational practices
without critics and without differences; we try to analyze the dialogic plot of the Hippias Major taking the
stranger who speaks from 286d through Socrates as being the voice of the writer of the dialogues. By
doing this, we note that the two official characters of this dialogue are both sophists discussing fallacies
and doing digressions, being more concerned about their reputation and winning the discussion that by
elucidate what the beautiful is. We argue that the construction of Socrates’ character is an attempt of his
student of go away from him and show their progress, and a concession to the sophist Socrates showed
by Aristophanes in Clouds.
