University Sports Association is one of the most active student organizations in Poland. Most members of the AZS are students who, between the duties of studying, do sports and represent their universities on academic competitions. Sport during the studies required to mobilize the time between the obligations related to learning which is not always easy. This paper is based on the analysis of an available literature and a research conducted through a questionnaire survey among active members of the AZS University Club at the University of Economics in Katowice. The aim of this article is to answer the question as sports in the Club and activities in AZS effect on school results and developing skills of students. In the conclusions we presented different effects of sport on academic results, referring both to the amount of time devoted to learning, as well as its quality.

Consumer education, including nutrition education, understood as a process based on scientific principles, is becoming a very effective element in influencing the health of the population in the modern world. This work is based on direct research carried out in 2016–2018 in the form of a questionnaire interview among patients—consumers of educational services in spa treatment facilities. The research sample was N = 1000 (600 people were tested with the use of PAPI (Paper and Pencil Interview), and 400 people with the use of CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interview)) and concerned a representative group of spa patients in Poland. Publikacja poświęcona jest bohaterom drugiego planu w sporcie – organizacjom i specjalistom, którzy przyczyniają się do rozwoju i sukcesu sportowego pojedynczych zawodników i całych drużyn. Academic sports are physical activities in which members of the academic community participate: students, doctoral students, research, teaching or administrative staff of higher education institutions. The academic community is extremely diverse, but as a rule, it is rarely associated directly with physical activity, but rather with the advancement of knowledge and the development of science. All the more reason why the promotion of physical activity in this community is extremely important for maintaining the psychophysical well-being of members of this group. Health resort treatment facilities, regardless of the ownership status (public, private), most often carry out their activities based on contracts with the Polish public payer of the health care system, therefore the operation of sanatoriums is a fully-fledged element of the health care system, such as inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment and basic health care. The system designed in this way is designed to improve the organization of benefits, including by incorporating new useful organizational and legal tools. Samorządy terytorialne posiadają niedoceniony potencjał w kreowaniu zdrowotności mieszkańców. Jednym z przejawów polityki zdrowotnej na tym poziomie są samorządowe programy oraz strategie zdrowotne. Te ostatnie mają istotne znaczenie w ocenie i monitorowaniu potrzeb zdrowotnych mieszkańców, począwszy od analizy demograficznej ludności danego regionu, poprzez ocenę zasobów kadrowych, instytucjonalnych i finansowych jednostek samorządu terytorialnego (JST), aż do identyfikowania wyrażonych przez populację potrzeb. Kluczowe znaczenie ma użyteczność strategii w planowaniu i realizacji programu polityki zdrowotnej (PPZ).
