My research line focuses on English language learners’ language development, technology and its influence on learning, multi-text literacy and reading comprehension, and the role of personal epistemology and critical thinking in second language development.
I have taught ESL in the U.S. and abroad (e.g., South Korea, China) in K-12 schools, as well as for undergraduate and graduate level students. Specifically, I use social-constructivist approaches to teaching with an emphasis on real-world learning, critical thinking pedagogy, and project-based assignments. Additionally, I have been teaching educational psychology at the undergraduate level for the last two years.edit
