Carbon Active from Coconut Shell as Tambak Water Quality Increasing The negative impact in intensive cultivation of prawn is the decreasing water quality, caused by the toxic material from food and prawn faces. One alternative to solve that problem is to use the active carbon from coconut shell as adsorbent of toxic material.The aim of these activities is to inform to teach how was adsorption toxic compound by using active carbon running well. The result showed, concentration of H2S in the water dramatically decrease until 0.02 ppm and NH3 until 0.05 ppm and NO2 0,05 ppm. That condition indicates, it was good condition for prawn to life. The conclusion of this public service activity was active carbon from coconut shell can be reduce toxic material and all participant in training very interested approximately 95% of material of training has been understood. Peningkatan Kinerja Berbagai Kompor Dengan Bahan Bakar Briket Limbah Tempurung KelapaPemanfaatan briket biomassa yang efektif dan efisien sangat dipengaruhi oleh jenis kompor yang digunakan dan cara penggunaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat briket arang tempurung kelapa sebagai bahan bakar kompor, melakukan pengujian proksimasi, nilai kalor dan sifat fisik kemudian menguji kinerja berupa temperature, kemampuan mendidihkan air dan efisiensi pada 3 jenis kompor sebelum dan setelah modifikasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan memanfaatkan briket arang limbah tempurung kelapa sebagai bahan bakar pada 3 jenis kompor yang berbeda sebelum dan setelah modifikasi. Hasil uji komposisi kimia dengan analisis proksimasi rata-rata yaitu kadar air 1.67%, kadar abu 13.03%, volatile matters 28.69%, fixed carbon 56.69%. Nilai kalor didapatkan sebesar 4949 kkal/kg, kuat tekan sebesar 0.489 gr/cm2 dan kerapatannya sebesar 0.705 gr/cm3. This research is conducted to produce carbons from coconut fibre which approach to activated carbon clause continue with carbon surface modification and the adsorption examination to Cu(II) ions. The research consist of several phase. Carbon making of coconut fibre conducted by carbonization processes at 320-400oC with temperature interval 20oC. Carbon yielded in characterized moisture content, ash content and its adsoprtion to iodium. The carbon surface modification conducted by loaded 2-mercaptobenzotiazol (MBT) on carbon. The adsorpsibility of carbon-MBT tested by influence of contact time, pH, and the isoterm adsorption pattern. The result of the study showed carbonization of coconut fibre which approach the requirement of SII No.0258-89 gained at temperature 320oC. In the present study equilibrium time of 10 minute and pH was found to be optimum for both adsorbent. While type of isothermal adsorption from carban and carbon-MBT adsorbent followed the Langmuir adsorption pattern.

. Activated carbon is a material compound that has the ability to absorb (adsorption) of substances that are around it. As a carbon material, activated carbon can be made from various substances with high carbon composition such as coal, seeds, bones, waste pulp, oil palm, wood, and coconut shell. Coconut shell is the main fuel in the activated carbon industry in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the stability of the cyclone burner temperature, determine the quality of temperature at T1 and temperature at T2, find out the best quality of activated carbon during activation activities, and determine the percentage of ash content of activated carbon. Rubber ( Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg.) is one of important agriculture comodity on Indonesia. Wide area of Indonesia rubber agriculture on 2013 are 3,5 million hectares. With 3,2 million tones production maked Indonesia at second level ocupasi because low quality of block rubber. This research objective are getting liquid smoke dosage and active carbon as latexs coagulant. Research used randomized completely block design (RCBD) with 12 treatments and repeat 3 times. Liquid smoke dosage with 1:1 dilution and 2,60 pH are 6%, 8%, 10% and active carbon dosage 1% and 2% with formiat acid as a control.
