The issue regarding formation of a values-based attitude towards creating a family among modern youth is acquiring special relevance, since changes in moral guidelines have led to the intensification of negative phenomena such as: liberalisation of sexual morality, an increased number of divorces, illegitimate births, single-parent families, and the spread of social orphanhood. Due to the fact that the family is currently perceived as a structural component of the development of individual socio-economic trends, the purpose of the paper is to assess the levels of values-based attitudes towards family creation among students. In the course of the study, the following methods were used: diagnostic (questionnaires, the method of sentence completion, testing), that made it possible to identify the levels of formation of the attitude towards family creation among students; a theoretical method of analysis that allows a comprehensive study of the reasons that complicate the process of forming a values-based attitude regarding family creation. The novelty of the study is determined by the fact that a student family is understood as a family in which both spouses are full-time students of a higher education institution, that is, homogeneous in social status of a man and a woman. This is a young family in which the spouses are no more than 28 years old, and the length of family life does not exceed 5 years. The paper indicates that student families are the most progressive, since spouses are ready to accept everything new - in the organisation of life, in the arrangement of the family structure, and the like. Material motives in choosing a spouse in such families play a secondary role, especially in relation to the requirements from a woman to a man. The materials of the paper are of practical value for experimental verification of pedagogical conditions for the family creation among students in extracurricular activities

The traditional family model is becoming blurred and for this reason it is no longer valid. Thus, in this changing reality it is worth making an attempt to understand those changes in order to be able to promote appropriately the values which are still most important for the proper functioning of family. The family has always been and will be the central category of social life, around which processes, social phenomena or religious norms are cumulated, but the changing conditions of life of families are generating a necessity to monitor the quality of life of families and look at them as a whole and individually.
When we go through the study of the social psychology of the family and the well being, following factors comes to the mind –what is required to be in the family and what can make it smooth to adjust for the elderly people to live in there. The purpose of the family is to be an instrumental without any controversies in providing efficient ways to survive even when there are compelling circumstances within which the members of the family have to function. All the members of the family like cells in an organic body to form its composite whole, contribute in their own way to the well being of not only young age-group persons but also bridge an equilibrium in the potentialities of old age-group and the middle age-group persons. The division of labour amongst the members of the family is similar to the various units of the men working in varied fields to benefit the " Man " who is the absolute factor of building the nation. This is restricted to capacity of physical strength and the outcome of cultural values as well as the specialties that they exhibit in performing their duties within the family productive efficiency. To achieve sense of stability, the many different functions that members perform must be coordinated or tied together somehow so that they contribute jointly to the end result i.e. well being of the family especially elderly people's because just as in organization some are assigned light task to fit in the contribution of others' specified task similarly the efforts of the elderly people in the family are supplementary to inculcate the reflections of specialization, cultural values and teamwork that is initiated by the youthful members but coordinated by the right functioning of the elderly people.

In our country a family has some distinctive features - - The patriarchal family, i.e. the family consisting of several generations is sustained; - The borders between subsystems of a family are blurred and badly structured, the power in a family quite often belongs to grandmothers and grandfathers; - In many families in several generations there are no men, just like in many social institutions (kindergartens, schools, etc.); - Generations depend on each other both spiritually, and financially, young families live on their relatives and actively use their help; - The ideology of a totalitarian society has generated a rigid system of compulsion and obligation when a person neglected his own "ego" for the sake of duty; - A destruction of a former ideology and absence of a new one which would help to form a feeling of belonging and security have led to an increasing demand for illusions, miracles, unjustified expectations for freedom without acquiring the responsibility for it. A new found freedom is accompanied by aggression, and an aggressive behavior is frequently perceived as freedom. So, the target of our research is to outline and highlight the basic directions of the work with a young family in the field of the social policy, to determine the basic directions for the project of the protective - security preventive activity of a regional community on the material, social psychological help and support of a young family, the protection of its rights and the increase of the responsibility for the behavior and acts.
