With the increase in the use of portable devices in the present era, there arises a need to develop greener and more efficient methods of generating energy to power these devices. Despite vacuum tube electronics’ weight and large associated battery, people living in the early 1900s have lugged such enormous “portable” radios to picnics and other events off the power grid. As electronics became smaller and required less power, batteries could grow smaller, enabling today’s wireless and mobile applications explosion. Portable devices (such as telephone, GPS, Walkman) are more and more popular and sophisticated. Thus they require more and more energy for comfortable use of new functionalities (TV on telephones, video on Walkman). The problem of the too frequent energy recharges of these objects, which make them less and less “nomadic”, is then a topical subject. Indeed, the interest of having the video-telephony on the mobile phone becomes very limited since it is necessary to recharge...

Abstract--The objective of the work is to apply solar power for charging electronic appliances namely iphones. The circuit is designed for low ampere and high ampere charging by using PROTEUS software and fabricated and tested for its performance. Time required for full charging of iphone 5 with 1A charging is 90 minutes whereas it is only 50 minutes with 2A charging port. Solar power operated table can be developed by the companies for charging electronic gadgets such as mobile phones that can be employed in public places such as parks, bus stations and airports. Another feature of this product is that three consumers can charge at a time. Charging of electronic gadgets can be done by the common public by drawing power from the battery charged by solar power thereby reducing consumption of electricity from the main grid. The system with 1A and 2A charging of i-phones using solar power operated battery is unique and new to the locality of Caledonian college of engineering and the work can be extended to other parts of Sultanate of Oman.

Mobile devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and music players, have been increasingly popular. There is a strong demand for charging stations for these devices, especially in public places, such as bus stops, parks, beaches, schools, hospitals, and playgrounds. This project designs a convenient charging station for the mobile devices. It is renewable and supportive for diverse charging needs. The system key design parameters are: 200-W solar panel, 12-V 900-Wh deep-cycle lead acid battery, 300-W 120-VAC pure sine-wave inverter, 8 outlets (2 wireless, 4 DC USB and 2 AC). It aims to supply an average load of 175Wh. A prototype of the station is built and tested. The testing results show that the station works properly. The control system switches the outlets on and off accurately based on the battery available energy. On a sunny day, with the solar panel and the battery operational, the system can support a full load of 150Wh until the sun is gone. When operating without th...

This paper will discuss an alternative energy device, the Portable Solar Power Supply. Solar power is considered one the most environmentally friendly and abundantly available alternative source of energy. The Portable Solar Power Supply is designed to optimize capturing solar energy, storing it into a battery, and providing both standard household alternating current (AC) and most common direct current (DC) power. While this device is designed to optimize capturing solar energy and storing it into a battery, this device was designed to have it’s weight and size minimized. Museari Queer Art is based on innovation and inclusion, from a cultural and technological perspective. Museari is an online museum that works to defend Human Rights and LGBT groups in favor of sexual diversity. Museari Queer Art is presnted in 2024 at the Xàtiva Museum of Fine Arts, from June 5 to September 5, and brings together a series of actions like an art exhibition, interactive online dissemination, talks on awareness, inclusion and innovation, debates on art and education, guided tours, participatory actions, conferences, and artistic performances. In this edition of Museari Queer Art we include a selection of 25 artists from seven different countries who have exhibited at the Museari online museum over the last two years. The entities that support Museari Queer Art 7 are the Ajuntament de Xàtiva , the Museu de Belle Arts de Xàtiva Casa de l’Ensenyança, the Creari Research Group in Cultural Pedagogies of the University of Valencia (GIUV2013-103), the Institute of Creativity and Educational Innovations of the University of Valencia, AVALEM Valencian Association of Education in Museums and Heritage, and the Cátedra de Brecha Digital y Diversidad Funcional de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
Published in Technophany, vol. 2, n°2 (February 2024) https://technophany.philosophyandtechnology.network/article/view/15390 In this article I will try to suggest a transdisciplinary conception of entropy in order to analyse the contemporary ecological polycrisis which is usually described as the Anthropocene era. According to French philosopher Bernard Stiegler, the Anthropocence can be understood as an Entropocene, because the current ecological crisis consists of a process of massive increases of entropy in all its forms: thermodynamic entropy (that is, dissipation of physical or chemical energy), biological entropy (as the destruction of biodiversity), and psycho-social entropy (as the reduction of knowledge to data and calculations, through digital disruptive technologies). In order to analyse this situation, we need a transversal conception of entropy: from Bergson's philosophy of life to Stiegler's philosophy of technics, through Schrodinger's physics, Wiener's cybernetics, Lotka's biology and Levi-Strauss's anthropology, I will try to build a conceptual history of entropies from a Stieglerian point of view and to explore its economic and political consequences in Stiegler's thought, in order to open new paths beyond the Entropocene era.
