Energy Policy, 2013
International journal of engineering research and technology, 2020
Nowadays, energy plays a vital role within the world economy, security, and politics. Every country must develop its resources and policies concerning energy and environmental contaminants for better future planning. Fossil fuels are the primary recourse for global energy needs (80% of total energy consumption). Because of the emission of greenhouse gases, they are gradually replaced with renewable energy resources. Additionally, renewable energy resources are stable, unlike fossil fuels, which may use up in less than one century. Nowadays, several kinds of renewable energies utilize around the globe, particularly in developed countries. For instance, solar power, hydropower, geothermal energy, and wind power are different kinds of renewable energies. According to recent studies, each of them has its own positive and negative points. This article discusses the various kinds of renewable energy, in particular wind energy and the advantages of this type of energy resource. The author ...

Renewable energy systems (RESs) have an inherent quality of achieving independence Vis a Vis useful energy harnessing for self or localized use. At larger scale the renewable energy system allows the power generation and distribution without a significant harm to the environment. Propagation and proliferation of RESs and the Renewable Energy Technology (RET), collectively demand an effective policy making infrastructure to be in place to ensure their penetration locally and globally. Renewable Energy Policies have a great impact on how readily these systems are adopted by the investors and market, how efficient these systems are which is dependent on the research and development (R&D) of RESs, how effectively the country or region copes with the scourge of environmental harm with the use of RESs. Renewable Energy Policies also have an impact on how costly these technologies are and how these technologies fiscally benefit common man, investors and industries. Efficiency enhancement, ...

In recent years, the wind industry has undergone considerable development worldwide, thanks mainly to state support for renewable energy embodied in various standards and initiatives. However, the situation differs significantly among the main world producers of electricity from wind power, and in some, we can find incomplete energy policies and regulatory frameworks, which have led to very different economic and social outcomes. In this paper, we present a comparative study of wind policies (based on a multidisciplinary approach) in the leading countries of Europe, Asia and America, in order to establish a comprehensive framework for the sector's future.

One of the most considerable issues in the global society is reducing CO2 emissions of industrial activities and its consequences. Therefore, exploitation of clean energy sources is one of the requirements of the international community. In this regard, the researchers investigated the impact of renewable energy utilization to achieve the low carbon economy and concluded that it can significantly reduce the CO2 emissions of transportation and industry sectors. Wind power offers a sustainable option in the pursuit of renewable energies. In this article, the development of wind energy in the world and leading countries is investigated. It is found that by the end of 2017, the utilization of wind resources has prevented at least 600 and up to 1100 million tones CO2 emissions. Also, if the current rate of wind energy development continues, up to 2100 million tones CO2 will be avoided by the year 2030. Eventually economic analyses illustrated that utilization of wind energy in 2030 can r...
