As for the project research that had to be done by the researcher, it will be more concentrates on the effectiveness of machine over manual machine in operation line at LGL Technology Sdn Bhd. So, based on the problem research regarding the effectiveness of LGL operation, it will be necessary as to investigate their operation that are mostly depending on manual machine. So, the researcher would decide to exert two research techniques in order to get the information by the first sources is the primary sources that are include observation, and interview, and for the second sources is the secondary sources is based on journal, website, books and also article. The purpose of this project is to investigate potential effects on manufacturing using the same conventional methods of production, where many issues, including low production, high labor costs, poor quality, and safety, are caused by its current working practices in an observed industry (Tuljai Engineering Works), which is located in Pune, Maharashtra. First, the study focuses on the line balancing methodology in order to address this current method. Line balancing is a useful technique for enhancing shop layout, which shortens the time it takes to produce a product. Additionally, there are several benefits to cellular manufacturing, including greater quality, increased productivity, and improved machine usage. The company is now dealing with issues including worker injuries, low productivity, excessive labor costs, poor quality, etc. The entire process must be automated in order to handle this issue.

Method study which is one of the two basic elements of work study is the most effective methods that are used to produce more effectively with current machines and labor without any need for investment. In this research, the operations in blouse sewing line are analyzed critically and the results of method study which is applied on four operations are investigated. Following that, assembly line balancing is conducted by using Ranked Positional Weight Method considering operation durations which are obtained from method study and current operation times. The aim of this research is to analyze the effects of method study on production volume and assembly line efficiency and to indicate the importance of method studies.
