En el mundo de los procesos de desarme, desmovilización y reintegración de excombatientes a nivel internacional se solía reconocer al modelo colombiano como “el Ferrari” de los procesos de reintegración de excombatientes, tanto por la flexibilidad de sus componentes y la capacidad de crear una ruta para cada persona, su duración en el tiempo (hubo gente que estuvo hasta 10 años en el proceso), presupuesto y proporción de excombatientes atendidos por profesional (que rondaba los 40 excombatientes por cada profesional de la ACR).
Con una tasa de éxito del 73% de excombatientes que hoy se mantiene en la legalidad y más de 15 mil culminados del proceso de reintegración, el programa de reintegración ahora va a tener diversos cambios para poder atender el reto a venir, la reincorporación de las FARC-EP (10.015 hombres y mujeres según el censo socioeconómico realizado por la UNAL). No obstante, lo hará bajo otra lógica y otras condiciones, porque el tal “Ferrari del DDR” no es lo que las FARC-EP tienen en mente para sus hombres y mujeres.
