A spectroscopy and visual investigation for turbulent swirling flames formed by four-circumferential swirling turbojet EV in comparison with a two-circumferential swirling air entries configuration burner using hyper spectral camera. The special design of the EV-burner guarantees flame stabilization at the burner exit by a recirculation of hot gases and entrained fresh reactance mixture. A recirculation zone (vortex breakdown) can be generated when a sufficient strong swirling flow exist. The main parameter of combustion diagnostics based on optical devices is the flame itself, whose spectrum is closely related to the process state, as a fingerprint of the instantaneous operational condition, in terms of energetic yield, fuel consumption and pollutants emissions. North Korea's Threats: Nuclear Attacks with Electromagnetic Pulse. Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy ELIAMEP) Working Paper 85/2017 aims to deal with North Korea’s nuclear, missile and space program. It will analyse the North Korean threat of using the electromagnetic pulse (EMP) against the US or its allies. It will refer to the lessons that have been learned from nuclear tests in the atmosphere and in Outer Space in the past. Then it will refer to the US institutional actions to deal with the impact of the EMP threat, the public debate that is taking place, and the diplomatic moves to resolve the crisis with North Korea.

Hydrated sodium calcium aluminosilicate (HSCAS), an anticaking agent for mixed feed, was added alone or simultaneously with a toxic Zearalenone (ZEN) dose to balb/c mice and was evaluated for its ability to restore damages induced by ZEN. The latter is a mycotoxin produced by fusarium genera; it is mainly known to induce several toxic effects such as hepatotoxicity, immunotoxicity and nephrotoxicity on animals and humans. The experimental approach consisted of eight treatments of six mice each by 400 mg/kg bw or 5 g/kg bw of HSCAS. Two experimental groups have received respectively ZEN alone at 40 (8% of LD50) and at 500 mg/kg bw (LD50). Two other groups have received ZEN at 40 or 500 mg/kg bw combined respectively with HSCAS at 400 mg/kg bw and 5 g/kg bw. The control groups received water or olive oil. In recent months, rare cases of thrombosis at unusual sites associated with thrombocytopenia, occurring within a typical risk window (i.e., 4-28 days) after receiving SARS CoV2 vaccines, have been reported. Healthcare professionals should be prepared to detect these cases on time. The Expert Panel of the Knowledge Management and Transfer Network conducted a free search of the related literature. With the available information and the clinical expertise of the working group, we formulated, reviewed, and endorsed recommendations for the timely suspicion, diagnosis (case definitions, the use of initial laboratory and imaging tests, specific tests), and management of these thrombotic conditions. This document is considered a living document that will be updated as new evidence emerges, and recommendations may change over time.
