Archeology Central Asia

The present book includes results of works conducted in 2004-2014 on petroglyph studies in the natural boundary Sauyskandyk in the north-west on the ridge of Big Karatau. Problems of analysis, chronological attribution and interpretation of petroglyphs are presented.

The book presents some results of petroglyphs studying on the mountain Bayanzhurek since 1995. The given typology and classification of petroglyphs into categories: anthropomorphous and zoomorphic images, symbolic signs and carriages. Much attention is paid to questions of interpretation of inner content of the most interesting samples.

Приведены и охарактеризованы новые материалы по наскальным изображениям Верхнего Прииртышья, собранные автором в 1971-1983 гг. Впервые выделены рисунки неолита-энеолита, ранней, развитой и поздней бронзы, а также раннесакского времени. Расшифровка наскальных изображений, реконструкция отдельных сторон мировоззрения их создателей основаны на анализе материалов по мифологии, этнографии, эпосу, шаманству индоевропейских, индоиранских и тюрко-монгольских народов.
