Informare sulla Chiesa cattolica richiede delle peculiarità che vanno al di là delle procedure classiche del “semplice” giornalismo: la sua proiezione sociale è vincolata in maniera inseparabile alla sua indole spirituale, e comprendere ciò è il primo passo per un racconto giornalistico fedele alle ragioni e all’identità dell’Istituzione.

Tale premessa apre la strada a diverse altre specificità da conoscere e approfondire, a partire dalla dinamica che caratterizza la “produzione” di informazione da parte della Chiesa stessa, legata al mandato originario del suo fondatore, ai principi che la animano e alla struttura gerarchica che la caratterizza.

Compreso ciò si può passare a esaminare i canali da cui attingere il materiale da elaborare (fonti, documentazione), anch’esso molto specifico, senza tralasciare anche in questo caso l’aspetto formativo e di crescita professionale. Un buon supporto di comunicazione istituzionale permetterà poi di fare la differenza.

In March 1915 the Holy See decided to implement a proposal by the Archbishop of Pisa Pietro Maffi and as a result established the Opera Nazionale per la Buona Stampa («National Agency for the “Good Press"»). The charter of the organization stated that the institution’s aim was both to support the Catholic press throughout Italy and simultaneously to oppose the circulation of “evil” media content (especially that disseminated by liberal, socialist and anticlerical media). Yet the eruption of the First World War ended up seriously subverting the efforts and aims of the Opera – right up to 1918. But this essay also argues that the war also generated unprecedented conditions for the reimagining of the Opera and its work in terms of a novel rhetoric of war. The new rhetoric of war the Opera embraced described the “good press” as a mighty weapon, a vehicle of truth and morality, and the instrument of a new evangelization which had to contribute to the victorious resolution of the war and nourish the religious “awakening” produced by the conflict, understood as the first step to a peacetime corresponding to the emergence of a new Christian social order, and the fulfillment of the social reign of Christ.

The process of realisation of the reform of the Italian system of remuneration of the clergy according to the Concordat of 1984

The present Italian system of the remuneration of the Catholic clergy, which is the consequence of the reform initiated by the 1984 Agreement modifying the Lateran Concordat, constitutes one of the most important attempts to realise Can. 1274 § 1 of the Code of Canon Law of 1983. However, not only the solutions of which it consists, but also the procedure of elaborating and enacting these solutions – which is the subject of the present study – deserve careful attention. The process of the realisation of the reform under discussion appears to be an inspiring example of loyal and effective collaboration between the State and Church authorities in establishing norms that are valid in both legal orders, while expressly appreciating the role of the national Bishops’ Conference. What is especially noteworthy on the part of the Church are the procedural decisions that result from seeking balance between the due respect for the rights of individual diocesan bishops and the Plenary Assembly of the Bishops’ Conference on the one hand, and the need to act efficiently on the other (sometimes according to the rules established at hoc, with no apparent basis in the norms of the Code of Canon Law). The open explanation of the decisions made by the Church authorities to all interested subjects played an important role as well. The conducted analyses lead to the conclusion that all the factors mentioned above were adequately balanced. As a consequence, the solutions used in Italy can constitute a useful point of reference for similar processes undertaken in other countries.

In the first part of the essay, the author examines the five plagues of the Church that are presented by the great Catholic intellectual Antonio Rosmini in 1848 in a text entitled Delle Cinque Piaghe della Santa Chiesa which was very influential for Italian Catholicism in the 20th century. The author argues that the text is not simply a diagnosis of the unsatisfying state of Catholicism but also refers to the question of the sacred and the holy. Holiness is to be linked the unpronounceable Tetragrammaton YHWH designating something inaccessible to human power. Rosmini, conscious of the power mechanisms of society and their totalitar-ian grasp, imagined a lovingly devoted Church to have the task of renunciating earthly re-gimes of power, thereby remembering its evangelical origins. The author shows that each of the plagues designates a critique of Church’s claim to worldly power. In the second part, he examines a conception of holiness in which the holy designates man as oscillating between two subjects, his own and that of Jesus, the latter marking a radical opening of the subject and the abundance of the name of God. It is betrayed when the Church becomes a sacral and institutional space of exception. In the third part, the author introduces four new plagues of the Church: the exclusion of laymen from joint responsibility for the Church, the claim to moral superiority as a legitimisation of sacralised power, sexual abuse and clericalism as patriarchal power and the exclusion of women from the sphere of holiness. While these con-temporary plagues indicate an understanding of holiness inadequate to the Gospel, Pope Francis’s notion is rooted in the latter, thereby sharing Rosmini’s notion of holiness, a notion that according to the author, is decisive for the future of the Catholic Church.

This article offers an analysis of the relationships among Pierre Teilhard de Chardin's thought, transhumanist philosophy, and the doctrine of the Catholic Church. In the first section, we will show the essential features of three different forms of Catholicism, the last of which can be traced back to the theological reflection of the Jesuit priest. In the second section, we will present some salient aspects of Teilhard de Chardin's scientific and political thought, showing how they are perfectly in line with the postulates of contemporary transhumanism. In the third section, we will trace the reception of Teilhard de Chardin's ideas by the ecclesiastical hierarchy, by paying major attention to the official documents of the Catholic Church and to the statements of pontiffs and high prelates. Finally, in the fourth and last section, we will cross the borders of the history of ideas to venture into some general pedagogical reflections.

Questo articolo offre uno sguardo sintetico sul rapporto esistente tra l’omosessualità e il sacerdozio cattolico. L’analisi rivela che il fenomeno dell’omosessualità divide sempre più il mondo cristiano. La comprensione dell’omosessualità richiede delle analisi interdisciplinari serie ed approfondite. La domanda cruciale per i cattolici, di carattere piuttosto ontologico che morale, riguarda la visione del sacerdote che agisce «nella persona di Cristo» (in persona Christi). La comprensione degli elementi essenziali della conformità del prete cattolico a Cristo, sembra essere determinante per interpretare correttamente il rapporto tra l’omosessualità e il sacerdozio.

Nei suoi sei volumi intitolati " Confidenze di Gesù ad un sacerdote " sono contenute rivelazioni che non hanno eguali per quanto riguarda la comunione dei santi e il destino della Chiesa e dell'Umanità.

Prendendo lo spunto dagli attacchi subiti negli ultimi anni dalla Chiesa cattolica  a livello internazionale ed in particolare dall’ONU, Repubblicanesimo Geopolitico e  Katargēsis Messianica vuole risalire alle cause profonde e di lunga durata – oltre quelle di contrasto della Chiesa  alle pratiche contingenti di controllo geopolitico da parte dei grandi centri strategici, in primis l’essersi opposta, allo scopo di difendere la presenza cristiana in medioriente,  ai tentativi di  smembramento da parte statunitense di quell’area –  per le quali la Chiesa cattolica si trova, come si è sempre trovata, in un rapporto intimamente conflittuale con le espressioni statuali secolari, di cui i vari organismi e centri di potere internazionali che in questi ultimi tempi hanno attaccato la Chiesa non sono altro che l’ultima moderna espressione. E le ragioni di lunga durata di questo irrisolto e contrastato rapporto della Chiesa cattolica col potere e la legge civili, sono rintracciabili nella katargēsis messianica così come emerge ai versetti 19-31 del terzo capitolo della lettera di S. Paolo ai Romani.
