This study aimed to find out the relationship of using game-based learning in terms of Rules, Immersive, Enjoyment, Multimedia Technology, and Challenge and Competition to the academic performance of Grade 8 students in Araling Panlipunan, specifically in terms of Remembering, Understanding, and Analyzing. Using descriptive and experimental method of research, it involved 99 Grade 8 students of Calamba City Science Integrated School which is 100% of the population under the online learning modality, School Year 2020-2021. A 50-item teacher-made test, validated by experts was utilized for the pre-test and post-test to find out the significant difference in students' academic performance. Meanwhile, a 25-item survey questionnaire, also validated by experts, elicit the respondents' perception on game-based learning in Araling Panlipunan. Furthermore, an original digital game was created exclusively for this study wherein the content involved were the topics in Araling Panlipunan 8. Using the mean and standard deviation, the study described the profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, and time spent in playing digital games, and the students' pre-test and post-test scores. In addition, Pearson's correlation coefficient was utilized to determine the significant relationship between the perception of students in game-based learning and academic performance of students in terms of remembering, understanding, and analyzing skills. Meanwhile, it was concluded that the first null hypothesis is rejected-there is a significant difference in the pre-test and post-test scores of the respondents. Then, the second null hypothesis is accepted-there was no significant relationship between game-based learning and academic performance of students. Finally, it can be inferred that Araling Panlipunan teachers may create and incorporate digital games not only as a form of motivation, but as well as a form of presenting lectures and a form of assessment.

The objective of this research was to find out whether there was correlation between students’ learning strategies and their speaking ability at the Twelfth Grade Students of SMA Negeri 10 Gowa. This research was done by using the analysis of quantitative method and a correlational research design. The sample of this research was 21 students who were taken from XII IBB class of students in the academic year of 2018/2019. The sample was taken by Purposive Sampling Technique. The instruments of this research were questionnaire and speaking test. The result of this research showed that the students applied all of the six strategies proposed by Oxford namely Memory, Cognitive, Compensation, Metacognitive, Affective and Social Strategies in mastering their speaking ability. Gender disparity still exists in certain spheres of life today, though it is less visible. When it comes to academic performance, women are expected to outperform most male students in modern society. Both genders experienced beneficial and bad repercussions as a result of these observations and assumptions. There is a large gender disparity in academic achievement, according to studies conducted around the world among students studying at various levels. There is a significant relationship between the gender and the academic performance of the students of the senior high school in Marber National High School particularly on the Grade 11 STEM students.  It is observable that female students outperform male students in research subjects, and most male students have lower grade point averages. The highest general average grade among boys, which is 94, is only the third highest grade among girls.

A strategy for adaptive control and energetic optimization of aerobic fermentors was implemented, with both air flow and agitation speed as manipulated variables. This strategy is separable in its components: control, optimization, estimation. We optimized parameter’s estimation (from the usual KLa correlation) using sinusoidal excitation of air flow and agitation speed. We have implemented parameter’s estimation trough recursive least squares algorithm with forgetting factor. We carried separate essays on control, optimization and estimation algorithms. We carried our essays using an original computational simulation environment, with noise and delay generating facilities for data sampling and filtering.

Our results show the convergence and robustness of the estimation algorithm used, improved with use of both forgetting factor and KLa dead-band facilities. Control algorithm used in our work compares favorably with PID using the integrated area criteria for deviation between oxygen molarity and critical molarity (set point). Optimization algorithm clearly reduces energetic consumption, respecting critical molarity. Integration of control, optimization and adaptive algorithms was implemented, but future work is needed for stability. Methods were defined and implemented for stability improvement. We have implemented data acquisition and computer manipulation of air flow and agitation speed for actual fermentors.

This study also measured the English language proficiency of the students. Moreover, this study attempted to correlate the perception of the students' dimension of autonomous learning and the level of learner autonomy to their English language proficiency in the subcomponents such as grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Moreover, this study attempted to correlate the perception of the students' dimension of autonomous learning and the level of learner autonomy to their English language proficiency in the subcomponents such as grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. The study utilized a descriptive and correlational research design specifically quantitative methods with the survey questionnaires and proficiency test to gather data among FAITH Fidelis Senior high school students from Darasa, Tanauan Batangas. The study revealed that there is a significant relationship between the dimension of autonomous learning as to responsibility and English language proficiency. The result indicates that students still rely the responsibility on their teacher when learning grammar and vocabulary in English. Also, it was found out that the perceived level of learner autonomy and English language proficiency has no significant relationship. The results implies that respondents' perception on their level of autonomy is not an indicator of their success in English language proficiency.
