This paper presents a system to track position and orientation of a generic mobile device equipped with a camera using a matrix of variable size fiducial markers. The system provides 6-DOFs by tracking fiducial markers through the camera and deriving the position and orientation of the device, thus making possible the implementation of affordable real 3D user interfaces.

We define and study exact, efficient representations of realization spaces of a natural class of underconstrained 2D Euclidean Distance Constraint Systems(EDCS) or Frameworks based on 1-dof Henneberg-I graphs. Each representation corresponds to a choice of parameters and yields a different parametrized configuration space. Our notion of efficiency is based on the algebraic complexities of sampling the configuration space and of obtaining a realization from the sample (parametrized) configuration. Significantly, we give purely combinatorial characterizations that capture (i) the class of graphs that have efficient configuration spaces and (ii) the possible choices of representation parameters that yield efficient configuration spaces for a given graph. Our results automatically yield an efficient algorithm for sampling realizations, without missing extreme or boundary realizations. The degrees of freedom (DoF) available for communication provides an analytically tractable way to characterize the information-theoretic capacity of interference channels. In this paper, the DoF of a K-user interference channel is studied under the assumption that the transmitters can cooperate via coordinated multi-point (CoMP) transmission. In [1], the authors considered the linear asymmetric model of Wyner, where each transmitter is connected to its own receiver and its successor, and is aware of its own message as well as M-1 preceding messages. The per user DoF was shown to go to M/(M+1) as the number of users increases to infinity. In this work, the same model of channel connectivity is considered, with a relaxed cooperation constraint that bounds the maximum number of transmitters at which each message can be available, by a cooperation order M. We show that the relaxation of the cooperation constraint, while maintaining the same load imposed on a backhaul link needed to distribute the messages, results in a gain in the DoF. In particular, the asymptotic limit of the per user DoF under the cooperation order constraint is (2M)/(2M+1) . Moreover, the optimal transmit set selection satisfies a local cooperation constraint. i.e., each message needs only to be available at neighboring transmitters. [1] A. Lapidoth, S. This paper presents the design of a 3-DOF prosthetic wrist for transradial myoelectric upper limb prosthesis that allows the orientation of a prosthetic hand to reduce compensatory movements that cause musculoskeletal problems mainly in the back and shoulder. The device is capable of perform passively abduction-adduction movements and actively flexion-extension and pronation-supination movements. The system has a DC motor that transmits power to the active movements and a solenoid for the choice of the type of movement to be performed. In order to validate the design of the components of the device, calculations and simulations were carried out by finite elements method to determine deformations, mechanical resistance and fatigue to define the critical components and maintenance periods.
