Nowadays, identifying appropriate and scientific knowledge related to environmental issues and topics represents an instrument for providing a clean environment. In the field of entrepreneurship, researchers have accepted the correlation between the scopes of business and the environment because entrepreneurship activities have been acknowledged as a significant driving force for economic, social, and environmental sustainability. A review shows that the entrepreneurship literature has experienced rapid growth recently, with many developments reported on a broad spectrum of topics. Nevertheless, one of the main concerns of the authors of the present contribution is the nexus of entrepreneurship and the environment. In the present study, a review of the literature and studies on the nexus of entrepreneurship and the environment is presented. The results indicate that none of the existing studies had clearly focused on the concept of green entrepreneurial orientation and the factors affecting this concept. So, in the meantime, the complex, mysterious concept of green entrepreneurial orientation has become a very attractive research topic. On this basis, the present paper covers this subject matter as well. It is doubtless that entrepreneurship, as an independent field of science, requires further theoretical and empirical research in relation to the environment. Indeed, recognition of research opportunities in relation to the green entrepreneurial orientation concept can largely contribute to the theoretical development and empirical studies in entrepreneurship and environmental science. We believe that the present study can bring significant advantages for the development of the research in the field of green entrepreneurship orientation.

Multinational organizations play an essential role in the development on many emerging economies and as a result have been embraced by business leaders and scholars alike. However, the successes of these organizations depend largely on their ability to adapt to a whole lot of challenges while operating in their various industries and host countries. These challenges stem from the social, legal, economic and technological environments of their host communities as well as the actual toxicity of some of their activities on the ecology of their host communities. This paper, therefore, reviewed these issues and how these organizations respond to them in their respective host countries and found that in Nigeria the multinational organizations have not done well in the improvement of the living standards of their host communities as their operations have brought them with loss of their ecosystem and primary means of existence as aided by the government actions and inactions; thereby generating regular clash and disharmony among them. Based on this we recommend: That multinational organization should carry out their productive activities in line with global best practices without hiding under their host countries weak environmental regulatory framework to cheat and undermine the rights and privileges of members of their host communities

Çalışma konusu girişimcilik olunca araştırmacı, akademisyen, iş adamı, yöneticiler ve politika üretenler konunun konuşulması, araştırılması, yaygınlaştırılması gerektiğine dair hem fikir olurlar iddiasında bulunmak yanlış olmasa gerek. Yeniliklerin ortaya çıkması, teknolojinin gelişmesi, istihdamın artması, zenginliklerin oluşturulup refah düzeyi yüksek bir toplum olmanın vasıtası ve farklı disiplinlerin ortak çalışma alanı olan girişimcilik, tüm dünya toplumları için önemli olduğunu kabul ettirmiştir. Önemi dolayısıyla özellikle son zamanlarda hakkında yapılan çalışmalar artmıştır. Aynı zamanda ülkelerde girişimciliği yaygınlaştırmak için kurslar düzenlenmekte, teşvikler verilmekte ve girişimcilik dersleri müfredatlarda yer almaktadır. Girişimcilik değer yaratmak, yenilik, değişim ve dönüşümlerle birlikte anılmaya başlamıştır. Bu başlangıç, bizlere girişimcilikten farklı anlamlar çıkarmamız gerektiğini/anlamın değiştiği ve geliştiğini kanıtlar niteliktedir. Bu gerçek karşısında, girişimciliğe yeni bir bakış açısı kazandırmak ve konunun düşündüğümüzden farklı bir niteliğe büründüğünü ifade etmek bu kitabın ortaya çıkış nedenleri arasında bulunmaktadır. Kitap, girişimcilikle ilgili temel kavramları içermekle birlikte, girişimcilik türlerini ve günümüzde girişimciliğin başarısında önemli rol oynayan konuları kapsamaktadır. Bu bağlamda akademisyenlere, lisans ve yüksek lisans öğrencilerine ve işletmesi olan veya yeni bir işletme kuracak girişimcilere faydalı olacağını en azından küçük de olsa bir katkı sağlayabileceğini düşünüyor ve ümit ediyoruz. Bu kitap, lisanstan hocam ve arkadaşlarım, daha önce birlikte bazı çalışmaları vücuda getirdiğimiz hocalarımız ve yine bu konuda daha önce değerli çalışmalarda bulunmuş hocalarımızın katkılarıyla ortaya çıkmıştır. Böylesine değer verdiğimiz akademisyenlerle birlikte çalışmanın içimize sığdıramadığımız bir mutluluk verdiğini belirtmek isteriz. Tüm hocalarımıza katkılarından dolayı şükranlarımızı sunuyoruz. En iyi olmanın ve mükemmelliğin sonu olmadığı anlayışından hareketle kitapta hata ve eksikliklerin olabileceği ve bu konuda öneri ve eleştirilerin daha iyi olma adına yol gösterici olacağını belirtmek isteriz.

The study evaluated the effect of entrepreneurial competencies on growth of small businesses in Abuja, Nigeria. The study adopted a survey research design. The population of small businesses in Abuja in this study is 2244 and this is reduced to 399 using Yamane of 1967. The study collected data using questionnaire that was administered to the respondents. Regression was to analysed the data and the findings showed that that entrepreneurial competencies have negative and significant effect on expansion of small businesses in Abuja. The study recommended that small businesses in Abuja should apply fully the concept of entrepreneurial competencies in doing conducting their business activities even if there is a negative effect on the growth of small business now. It is believe that in the future if the concept is fully adopted by small businesses, they will be positive significant effect in the future.

ÖZET Küreselleşen dünyada ülkelerin ekonomik ve sosyal açıdan gelişebilmelerinde önemli bir yeri olan girişimciliğe yönelik tipoloji çalışmaları, girişimciliğin başarı düzeyini yükseltmek adına önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, girişimci tipolojilerini irdelemek ve girişimcilerin hangi tipolojilerin özelliklerine uygun davranışlar sergilediklerine yönelik literatürdeki çalışmaları derlemektir. Tipoloji kavramı türlere göre sınıflandırma yapmayı ifade etmektedir. Bu açıdan tipoloji, kavramsal metotlar ve ampirik analizler aracılığı ile türetilmekte ve çeşitliliği organize etmenin yol ve yöntemlerini sunmaktadır. Tipolojiler, araştırmacıların, kalıpları karmaşık olaylarda daha rahat görebilmesini sağlamaktadır. Girişimcilik ise bir toplumun sahip olduğu potansiyel yenilikçilik ruhunun ekonomiye kazandırılarak o toplumun sosyo-ekonomik ve refah düzeyinin artırılmasında oldukça önemli rol oynar. Bu nedenle toplumun farklı kesimlerinin ve farklı coğrafi bölgelerin kendilerine özgü karakteristiklerinin iyi belirlenmesi gerekmektedir. Keza girişimci tipolojilerinin oluşturulmasının önemi de burada ortaya çıkmaktadır. Çünkü farklı karakteristiklere sahip toplumun değişik kesimlerinin farklı girişimcilik eğilimleri ortaya çıkacaktır. Bu bağlamda başta otoritenin bu yapıyı iyi analiz ederek oradaki bulunan girişimci tipolojisi ve koşulları da göz önüne alarak bu esaslar çerçevesinde girişimciliği teşvik edici politikalar belirlemelidir. Aksi halde, toplumun sahip olmuş olduğu girişimci potansiyelini, beklenilen düzeyde harekete geçirmek mümkün olmayacaktır. Türkiye'de girişimcilik tipolojileri üzerine detaylı çalışmaların yapılmamış olması, bu çalışmanın önemini artırmaktadır. Nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak yapılan bu araştırmada girişimcilik tipolojilerine yönelik çalışmalar derlenmiş ve incelenmiştir.

Éste artículo presenta los hallazgos encontrados, luego de estudiar casos empresariales asociados a los emprendimientos de la comunidad árabe, representada por los palestinos, sirios y libaneses en BarranquillaColombia, que demuestran como la cultura representa
un elemento diferenciador, que ha fortalecido la propuesta de valor de sus organizaciones, con el objetivo de examinar su incidencia en los procesos emprendedores y de determinar el impacto en el desarrollo y permanencia de las unidades de negocio generadas; para efectos metodológicos éste estudio se delimitó en la ciudad de Barranquilla, analizando
experiencias de líderes árabes, migrantes y descendientes de la región próximo oriental. Se asume un enfoque cualitativo de investigación, apoyado en l de como el emprendimiento en los palestinos, sirios y libaneses asentados en Barranquilla, se origina no sólo como alternativa, sino como necesidad ante las limitaciones y oportunidades del entorno y, en el papel fundamental que asume la cultura como rasgo vivo, propio y determinante del sistema de creencias y valores que son replicables a las organizaciones y cuyas lecciones han contribuido a la sostenibilidad de sus emprendimientos. Los métodos: fenomenológico y de estudio de caso, que conjuntamente permiten una interpretación consciente de las experiencias de los participantes, sus percepciones específicas, que facilitaron la identificación de como el emprendimiento en los palestinos, sirios y libaneses asentados en Barranquilla, se origina no sólo como alternativa, sino como necesidad ante las limitaciones y oportunidades del entorno y, en el papel fundamental que asume la cultura como rasgo vivo, propio y determinante del sistema de creencias y valores que son replicables a las organizaciones y cuyas lecciones han contribuido a la sostenibilidad de sus emprendimientos.

The best guess of Neuroscientists is that the brain cells produce the mind, which then produces you, who then asks the questions and then proceeds to answer them. Unfortunately, that's not a scientific model. That's science fiction. To truly understand a valid cognitive process, a new paradigm called the Mind Model is going to be presented here. It is one where the brain/mind dynamic is identical to the model of how the computer works. The computer has mechanical hardware that is run by an operating system. In turn, the human has biological hardware that is run by an operating system. We label the biological hardware as the brain and the operating system as the mind.
