Abstract
The internet is without any doubt the most important breakthrough in the field of
technology and communication in the twentieth century. The internet has
transformed international business activities by providing access to
instantaneous, inexpensive contact among sellers, buyers, investors and
advertisers anywhere in the world. No observer knows exactly what might be
the impact of the internet on the evolution of marketing. So far, the internet
marketing literature does not provide much information in terms of
internet marketing theories. In this paper we try to identify the few existing
theories and highlight that research work that lays the founding stones of future
internet marketing theories.
