Fisher Equation

Mega Millions and Powerball are among the most popular American lottery games. This article provides a practical software application that can conveniently examine and evaluate several lottery tickets for prizes using just the images. The application accepts as input a directory containing the images of lottery tickets and utilizes machine learning and computer vision to extract lottery ticket data, lottery name, lottery draw date, 5-digit lottery numbers, 2-digit lottery "ball" numbers, and the lottery multiplier. The application also retrieves winning lottery data that corresponds to the lottery draw date using a public database API. This is compared with data collected from each lottery ticket image to establish matches, and the corresponding prize amount is computed. The current version of the application supports GPU usage, and image orientation has no impact on its functionality.  It is believed that a considerable portion of the U.S. public participating in the Powerball and Mega Millions lotteries will find such an application beneficial and handy.

In this paper, the ( ′ G )-expansion method is used to solve the Burgers, Fisher and Burgers-Fisher equations. New traveling wave solutions are obtained for these equations. The Fisher effect proposes that in the long run, nominal interest rates trend positively with inflation. In numerous studies the long run Fisher effect has been proved several times as compared to the short run Fisher effect phenomenon. The reason is in the long run, interest rates exhibit minimum volatility therefore resulting in the long run association.

The Fisher effect posits that nominal interest rates move one for one with inflation. This hypothesis has become an important concept in Financial Economics and has become the mainstay of inflation and interest rate targeting. Previous studies used cointegration tests particularly the Johansen cointegration test and the Johansen and Juselius cointegration methods to determine long run affiliations between nominal interest rates and inflation. The glitch is, the recent cointegration methodology proposed by Saikkonen and Lu tkepohl has not been applied in the investigation of cointegrating vectors between nominal interest rates and inflation. In this work, the extended homogeneous balance method is used to derive exact solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. With the aid of symbolic computation, many new exact travelling wave solutions have been obtained for Fisher’s equation and Burgers-Fisher equation. Fisher’s equation has been widely used in studying the population for various systems, especially in biology, while Burgers-Fisher equation has many physical applications such as in gas dynamics and fluid mechanics. The method used can be applied to obtain multiple travelling wave solutions for nonlinear partial differential equations.

In this paper, we examined the approximations to the time-fractional Kawahara equation and modified Kawahara equation, which model the creation of nonlinear water waves in the long wavelength area and the transmission of signals. We implemented two novel techniques, namely the homotopy perturbation transform method and the Elzaki transform decomposition method. The derivative having fractional-order is taken in Caputo sense. The Adomian and He’s polynomials make it simple to handle the nonlinear terms. To illustrate the adaptability and effectiveness of derivatives with fractional order to represent the water waves in long wavelength regions, numerical data have been given graphically. This article discusses about re-testing the validity of the Fisher hypothesis in Indonesia. By using Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach, we will know if there is any causality between interest rate and inflation or not, for the long-term relationship. Interest rate divided into two main points, real interest rate and nominal interest rate. Hence, there are three main variables for this research, inflation, real interest rate and nominal interest rate. We applied the bound test to know cointegration between variables. The result shows that there is no evidence of long-term relationship and short term relationship between nominal interest rate and inflation in Indonesia.

The purpose of this study is to solve the time-fractional Schrödinger equations under initial conditions by using a newly developed analytical method known as the Sumudu transform iterative method. The time-fractional derivative is defined in the Caputo sense, and the solutions are achieved in closed form, in terms of Mittag-Leffler functions. Furthermore, the obtained results show that the proposed method is simple to implement and computationally attractive.

Two reliable techniques, Haar wavelet method and optimal homotopy asymptotic method (OHAM), are presented. Haar wavelet method is an efficient numerical method for the numerical solution of arbitrary order partial differential equations like Burgers-Fisher and generalized Fisher equations. The approximate solutions thus obtained for the fractional Burgers-Fisher and generalized Fisher equations are compared with the optimal homotopy asymptotic method as well as with the exact solutions. Comparison between the obtained solutions with the exact solutions exhibits that both the featured methods are effective and efficient in solving nonlinear problems. The obtained results justify the applicability of the proposed methods for fractional order Burgers-Fisher and generalized Fisher’s equations.

In this paper, we discussed  a new Sumudu transform iterative method and successfully applied on linear and nonlinear fractional integro-differential equations. The obtained results are compatible with those that have been obtained by other methods. The fractional derivative here is described in the Caputo sense. The proposed method is found to be powerful and efficient.
