Amaç: Bu çalişma, Pamukkale Üniversitesi Tip Fakültesi 1. sinif ve 4. sinif öğrencilerinin küresel isinma ve sağliğa etkileri ile ilgili bilgi, tutum ve davranişlarinin değerlendirilmesi amaciyla yapilmiştir.

Gereç veYöntem: Kesitsel tipteki bu araştirma, Nisan 2016'da Pamukkale Üniversitesi Tip Fakültesi 1. ve 4. sinif öğrencileri arasinda yapilmiştir. Çalişmaya 1. siniftan 268 (%79,7) ve 4. siniftan 87 (%82,8) öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 355 kişi (%80,5) katilmiştir. Katilimcilara sosyodemografik özellikleri ile ilgili 6 soru, küresel isinmayla ilgili bilgi, tutum ve davranişlarinin sorgulandiği 20 soru ve küresel isinmanin sağliğa etkileriyle ilgili bilgi durumunun sorgulandiği 26 soru olmak üzere toplam 52 sorudan oluşan anket formu uygulanmiştir.

Bulgular: Çalişmaya katilan öğrencilerin yaş ortalamasi 20,29 ± 1,76 olup, %56,9'u kadindir. Öğrencilerin %21,3'ü sera gazlarini bilmediğini belirtmiş, %10,5'i nükleer enerjinin temiz enerji kaynaği olduğunu düşünmektedir. Öğrencilerin %4,4'ü küresel isinmanin önlenemez olduğunu düşünmekte ve %28,6'si küresel isinmaya karşi bireysel önlem almadiğini belirtmiştir. Öğrencilerin küresel isinmanin sağliğa etkileri ile ilgili bilgi puan ortalamasi 20,9±4,6'dir. Öğrenciler küresel isinmanin sağlik üzerine etkisiyle ilgili en az olarak, küresel isinmanin sarihumma, sitma ve ishalli hastaliklarda artişa yol açabileceğini bilmişlerdir (bilme durumlari sirasiyla %47,2; %58,3; %61,7).

Sonuç:Öğrencilerin küresel isinma ile ilgili genel bilgi durumlari iyidir fakat küresel isinma ile ilgili bazi konularda eksiklikler ve yanliş bilgilenme mevcuttur. Öğrencilerin küresel isinmanin sağliğa etkileri ile ilgili bilgi puani yüksektir. Ancak küresel isinmanin neden olduğu bazi hastaliklar öğrenciler tarafindan yeterli düzeyde bilinmemektedir. Tip fakültesindeki çevre sağliği derslerinde küresel isinma ve sağliğa etkileriyle ilgili konularin içeriklerinin arttirilmasi ve güncellenmesi önerilebilir. Pam Tıp Derg 2017;(2):172-180

In recent years, the increase in near-surface global annual mean temperatures has emerged as considerably smaller than many had expected. We investigate whether this can be explained by contemporary climate change scenarios. In contrast to earlier analyses for a ten-year period that indicated consistency between models and observations at the 5% confidence level, we find that the continued warming stagnation over fifteen years, from 1998 -2012, is no longer consistent with model projections even at the 2% confidence level. Of the possible causes of the inconsistency, the underestimation of internal natural climate variability on decadal time scales is a plausible candidate, but the influence of unaccounted external forcing factors or an overestimation of the model sensitivity to elevated greenhouse gas concentrations cannot be ruled out. The first cause would have little impact of the expectations of longer term anthropogenic climate change, but the second and particularly the third would.

Despite compelling scientific research that affirms the reality of climate change, including global warming, social and political engagement with the issue remains highly contested. To identify the cultural and social structurations of alternative approaches to climate change, this study draws on a temporally theorized ‘structural phenom- enology’ of social action and organization. Through hermeneutic analysis, it examines selected prominent contemporary constructions of global climate change. The general framework of structural phenomenology, orthogonal to, yet compatible with, field theory, is used empirically to identify various wider social domains of action. The cultural structures of domain practices are described by how they operate through, span, or hybridically combine alternative registers of temporally structured meaningful action – each with its distinctive meaningful logic. The study examines cultural structures in four domains con- cerned with global climate change – science and policy analysis, conservative skepticism and denial, geopolitical security, and environmental movements. Climate-change con- structions within these four domains differ in the ways that they compose various regis- ters among diachronic, strategic, pre-apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic social action temporalities. The general potential of structural phenomenology for re-envisioning institutional arrangements of modern societies is considered, as are the implications of the analysis for research on and social engagements with climate change.

This document, updated annually, tracks global CO2 emissions from fossil fuels. The current dataset covers the years 1751 through 2015. The specific anthropogenic activities captured include carbon emissions from gas, liquid and solid fuel consumption, cement production, and gas flaring. The data do not include emissions from land use changes (e.g., deforestation and logging, forest and peat fires, post-burn decay of remaining above-ground biomass, or decomposition of organic carbon in drained peat soils). All data is sourced from the Global Carbon Project (GCP) and Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC).
