moreLa collection de textes coptes de l’Institut de papyrologie de la Sorbonne est riche d’environ cent quatre-vingts pièces, qui illustrent divers types de textes et couvrent un arc chronologique allant du IVe au XIIe siècle. La 6e école d’été de papyrologie copte (juillet 2018) a été l’occasion d’en faire étudier par les participants un certain nombre, et ce volume est le fruit de leurs travaux. Il contient les éditions commentées de quarantecinq textes, en majorité documentaires (actes juridiques, documents comptables, lettres), écrits sur papyrus et ostraca, auxquels s’ajoutent un texte biblique et un texte magique. Outre la découverte de types documentaires nouveaux ou de mots attestés pour la première fois, ces documents permettent d’étoffer certains dossiers monastiques et villageois de Moyenne-Égypte (monastère d’Apa Apollô à Baouît, monastère d’Apa Sabinos, villages du nome hermopolite).
The collection of Coptic texts at the Sorbonne's Institute of Papyrology is rich with about one hundred and eighty pieces, illustrating various types of texts and covering a chronological arc from the fourth to the twelfth century. The 6th Summer School of Coptic Papyrology (July 2018) provided an opportunity for participants to study a number of them, and this volume is the result of their work. It contains annotated editions of forty-five texts, mostly documentary (legal acts, accounting documents, letters), written on papyrus and ostraca, to which are added a biblical text and a magical text. In addition to the discovery of new documentary types or words attested for the first time, these documents allow us to flesh out certain monastic and village files of Middle Egypt (monastery of Apa Apollo at Baouît, monastery of Apa Sabinos, villages of the Hermopolitan nome).
