Preparation for a genocide under way in India: Dr. Gregory Stanton
Internationally acclaimed expert raises concerns about possible mass extermination of Muslims while briefing US Congress on situation in Kashmir and Assam.

Dr. Gregory Stanton, founder of Genocide Watch, addressed an audience of Congressional and Government officials at a briefing titled Ground Reports on Kashmir and NRC in Washington D.C on December 12 where he said, “Preparation for a genocide is definitely under way in India.” He said that persecution of Muslims in Assam and Kashmir “is the stage just before genocide,” adding, “The next stage is extermination — that’s what we call a genocide.”
Dr. Stanton created the world-famous “Ten Stages of Genocide” as a presentation to the U.S. Department of State when he worked there in 1996. According to Dr. Stanton, the ten stages of genocide are as follows:
• The first stage was “classification” of “us versus them”.
• The second stage, “symbolization”, named the victims as “foreigner”.
• The third stage, “discrimination”, “classified [the victims] out of the group accepted for citizenship” so that they had no “human rights or civil rights of citizens” and were “discriminated against legally”.
• The fourth stage, dehumanization, “is when the genocidal spiral begins to go downwards. You classify the others as somehow worse than you. You give them names like ‘terrorists’, or even names of animals, start referring to them as a cancer in the body politic, you talk about them as a disease that must be somehow dealt with.”
• The fifth stage was creating an “organization” to commit the genocide: the role played by the “Indian army in Kashmir and the census takers in Assam”.
• The sixth stage was “polarization”, which is achieved by propaganda.
• The seventh stage was “preparation”
• The eighth “persecution”, where Assam and Kashmir currently were.
• The ninth stage is “extermination” and;
• The tenth stage is “denial”.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) claims to be the greatest embodiment of nationalism in the country today. There has been a concerted attempt to market it as being synonymous with patriotism in India. It is also a fact, though, that the claims of the RSS in this regard have always been challenged by individuals and organizations who were in the thick of Freedom Movement. There is no dearth of writings exposing the negative role of the RSS during the Freedom Struggle. However, this booklet is an attempt to collect facts of the Freedom Movement era from the archives of the RSS itself. It has been the intention of the author that the documents of the RSS should speak for themselves. This booklet is surely going to disappoint those who believe that the RSS played any role in the Freedom Movement. They will hear from the horse’s mouth that not only was a silence maintained about the evils of foreign rule but all attempts were made to sabotage the united fight against British colonial rule.

The RSS-BJP government of India led by a seasoned RSS whole-timer, Narendra Modi has miserably failed in providing basic amenities, employment, education, security and peace to 138 crores of Indians (out of which approximately 80% are Hindus ) but on last August 5, he had a joyous news to share with the people of the country. While laying the foundation of Ram Temple at Ayodhya on August 5, 2020, with the get-up of a prosperous Hindu sage, Prime Minister declared that wait of Hindus of the world for centuries was over as Lord Ram’s birthplace was finally liberated from numerous attempts to destroy it. According to him India with his laying down the foundation of the Temple was  writing a “glorious chapter” and declared that "Today, the Ram Janmabhoomi [birth-place] has become free from the centuries-old chain of destruction and resurrection".

GOSWAMI TULSIDAS PUT IN BAD LIGHT
As generally happens with our PM, he resorted to lies regarding the destruction of Ram birth-place temple for building Babri Mosque too. According to his narrative, borrowed from the RSS shakhas, Ayodhya represented a continuous war between Hindus and Muslims over the Ram Temple for almost last five centuries.
While boasting of victory over the adversary (Muslims) he did not bother to look at the epic work of poetry in Avadhi language penned by Goswami Tulsidas, namely, RAMCHARITMANAS. This was the work which mesmerized India with the story of Lord Ram and the latter became house-hold deity of every Hindu home.  He penned his above mentioned work during 1575-76. According to the Hindutva version Ram birth-place temple was destroyed during 1538-1539. Thus RAMCHARITMANAS written almost 37 years after the so called destruction of Ram birth-place temple should have mentioned this destruction. But it did not.
Are Hindutva zealots trying to say that the greatest story-teller and worshipper of Ram and his Court (Darbar), Tulsidas did not speak truth in his historic work? Is not it an attempt to question the credibility of Goswami Tulsidas? Are the Hindutva zealots trying to say that Goswami Tulsidas kept mum on the issue of the destruction of a temple at Ram's birth-place due to some ulterior motives?

HINDUTVA: MYTHS AND REALITY
[This essay is in response to demand from friends across the globe to make available a concise primer on the toxic ideology of Hindutva based on its own archives for ready reference.]
Introduction
The term Hindutva took birth with the appearance of VD Savarkar's book titled Hindutva in 1923. Savarkar’s Hindutva was declared to be the Holy Book of Hindu Sangathan or organization. M. S. Golwalkar, who headed the RSS after K. B. Hedgewar, too regarded Savarkar’s Hindutva as a great scientific book which fulfilled the need of a text-book on Hindu nationalism.  According to a biography of founder of RSS, Hedgewar published by the RSS, “Savarkar’s inspiring and brilliant exposition of the concept of Hindutva marked by incontestable logic and clarity, struck the cord of Doctorji’s [Hedgewar’s] heart”.
Despite such statements glorifying Hindutva as priceless contribution in defence of Hindu nationalism, the contents of the book did not attract many Hindu leaders and remained beyond the comprehension of common Hindus. In fact, even the title of the book seemed to have been an afterthought. A perusal of the original edition (1923) will show that the booklet was printed with the title Hinduism but subsequently a separate piece of paper on which Hindutva was printed was pasted on the title page of the book. Since the term remained alien even to the Savarkarites, by the 4th edition Hindutva as title was dropped and it was published under a new title Who Is A Hindu? In 1963 Maharashtra Provincial Hindusabha published it as part of Savarkar’s collected works with the title Essentials of Hindutva. Another notable fact about this book was that it was published under the pen name ‘A Maratha’ signifying a regional identity of the author where as book stressed only the Hindu identity of the country and its inhabitants.
Savarkar admitted at the outset that the ‘term Hindutva defies all attempts at analysis’.  He began by trying to make a clear-cut distinction between his theory of Hindutva and religion Hinduism. But few pages later it became clear that Hindutva was nothing else but political Hinduism. According to his definition a Hindu
"is he who looks upon the land that extends from Sindhu to Sindhu, from the Indus to the Seas, as the land of his forefathers—his pitribhu, who inherits the blood of that race whose first discernible source could be traced to the Vedic Saptasindhs [seven holy rivers] and which on its onward march, assimilating much that was incorporated and ennobling much that was assimilated, has come to be known as the Hindu people, who has inherited and claims as his own the culture of that race as expressed chiefly in their common classical language Sanskrit and represented by a common history, a common literature, art and architecture, law and jurisprudence, rites and rituals, ceremonies and sacraments, fairs and festivals…These are the essentials of Hindutva—a common rashtra [nation] a common Jati [race] and a common Sanskriti [culture, though in latter editions it is translated as civilization].
According to Savarkar, these were the Hindus with Aryan blood who established the Hindu nation the day
"when the Horse of Victory returned to Ayodhya unchallenged and unchallengeable, the great white Umbrella of Sovereignty was unfurled over that, Imperial throne of Ramchandra the brave, Ramchandra the good, and a loving allegiance to him was sworn, not only by the Princes of the Aryan blood but Hanuman—Sugriva—Bibhishana from the south— that day was the real birth-day of our Hindu people." 
Savarkar’s book Hindutva was haphazard, confused, incoherent, monotonous, contradictory and repetitive in comparison to other works of Savarkar. In fact in Hindutva, propagated as the primer of the Hindu nationalism less than one quarter of the space was devoted to the theme. Major parts of the book contained repetitive discussions over the origin of nomenclature like Hindu/Hindusthan, folk literature, evils in Buddhism, how Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists were Hindus and description of perpetually continuously raging conflicts between Vedic and
non-Vedic sects in Hinduism.
The concept of Hindu Nation as elaborated in Hindutva remained a fringe thought despite the fact that Savarkar while presiding over the 19th session of Hindu Mahasabha at Ahmedabad in December 1937 declared it to be the goal of Hindu Mahasabha, there were not many takers for the book. The dismal reach of the book can be gauged by the fact that after the publication of its first edition in 1923, the second edition could appear only in 1942. With the last edition appearing in 2003, only seven editions of the book came out in more than eight decades.
However, with the ascendency of the RSS-BJP in the Indian parliamentary politics in late 1990s idolizing of Savarkar began. While renaming the Port Blair airport after V. D. Savarkar on May 4, 2002, the then Home Minister L. K. Advani declared that “Hindutva propounded by Savarkar was an all-encompassing ideology with its roots in the country’s heritage”. The glorification of the prophet of Hindutva did not stop there. On February 26, 2003, a portrait of Savarkar was unveiled at Parliament. Savarkar thus came to share the eminence accorded to Gandhi and other prominent leaders of the freedom struggle in the Central Hall of Parliament. However, we need to have a convincing answer to the question that if Savarkar with his eternal love for the two-nation theory and his conscious aloofness from the Indian freedom struggle can be glorified as an Indian nationalist and patriot, then who can stop Mohammed Ali Jinnah from claiming this status?
The present RSS-BJP rulers led by PM Modi keep on declaring publically that they are committed to usher India into a Savarkarite model of Hindu nation. We will evaluate the claims made on behalf of the flag-bearers of Hindutva in the following. 
5 Myths are discussed in this essay.

In fact, it has been the most favourite theme of RSS since its inception in 1925. India is for "Ramzade" (children of Ram) and out of bound for "Babarzade" (children of Babar) who are also described as "Haramazade" (the illegitimate children). The RSS and its Hindutva appendages have been demanding revenge for crimes against Hindus in history but have singled out the medieval period only in order to focus on the persecution by "Muslim" rulers. It is really surprising that in a country like India whose civilization is more than five thousand years old, a period of 400-500 years ("Muslim" Rule) only is put under the scanner. In order to arrive at truth we need to inquire into about the nature of "Muslim" rule. The most crucial issue is: Why have the common Muslims of today"s India to pay for the sins of the "Muslim" rulers who had friendly and cordial relations (including matrimonial) with the high Caste hierarchy of the Hindu society? We also need to investigate whether "Hindu" history was devoid of religious, social and political persecution. The Hindutva zealots demanding Muslim-free India must know that all "Muslim" rules survived due to the Hindu high Castes joining the "Muslim" rulers in running their empires. How solid this unity was can be gauged by the fact that after Akbar no Mughal emperor was born of a Muslim mother. It is in response to Rahul Pandita’s piece ‘Gorakhpur and the Ghost of Gangadhar Adhikari: Whether liberals like it or not, the story of Hindu consolidation is not over yet’ which appeared in Open Magazine on March 22, 2017. My response is a lengthy one, as reproduction of many original documents from the RSS/Hindutva archives is needed to evaluate many beliefs of Rahul Pandita. This detailed response can be handy resource material to challenge the justification of Hindutva rule in India by the Hindutva zealots and characters who as fence-sitters were just waiting India to be stormed by the Hindutva gang to join the latter.
Rahul's glorification of the forthcoming Hindutva rule in India reminds me of Max Weinreich's eye-opener book ‘Hitler's Professors: The Part of Scholarship in Germany's Crimes Against the Jewish People’ [Yale University Press, New Haven, 1999]. It is a narrative of the contemporary documents showing how intellectuals in Germany worked overtime to legitimize the Nazis led by Hitler and facilitated latter’s capture of power in Germany.

AMIT SHAH DE FACTO PM OF INDIA ON INDIAN PARTITION: BULLDOZING HISTORY
No other fascist organization, in the present world, can beat Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in demagogy, hypocrisy and double-speak. In fact, what George Orwell termed as "doublespeak" would be an understatement in the case of RSS. The latest proof of this nasty character was provided by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah, de facto PM and a senior RSS leader in the Lok Sabha (akin to the House of Commons in England) on December 9, 2019. While introducing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 which is not only against democratic-secular Indian Constitution but also violates all humanitarian principles; this Hindutva zealot justified the need for such a law by referring to the Partition of India in 1947. He told the law-makers,
“You want to know why this bill is necessary. If the Congress had not divided this country on the basis of religion, there would be no need to bring in this bill. It was the Congress that divided the country on religious lines, not us,”

It was unashamed bulldozing of history with the aim to hide the identity of the real culprits who dissected a nation causing unimaginable bloodshed, violence and destruction. When Amit Shah claims that "it was the Congress that divided the country on religious lines, not us,” it is not due to ignorance or outcome of his illiteracy. It was Goebbels speaking through Amit Shah; shout a lie multiple times so that it becomes a truth!
Let us compare the above claim of Amit Shah with the contemporary documents available in the archives of Hindutva organizations like RSS and Hindu Mahasabha led by VD Savarkar.

India has recently been mentioned frequently in the world agenda with various controversial events. Some of them are the rise of Hindu Nationalism, the marginalization and stigmatization of Muslims, the change of Kashmir’s status, adaptation of the religiously discriminatory citizenship law and protests against it. The Islamophobic discourse used by political leaders and misleading and anti-Muslim content spread through traditional and social media by the fanatical Hindu supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also establish the ground on which these kinds of events take place. On the other hand, although the anti-Muslim rhetoric and events in the country seem to have being triggered after the BJP government which came to power in 2014, its origin dates back to earlier times. In this regard, in the first part of the report, the political and ideological background of the CAA has been discussed. In the second part, the compatibility of CAA has been discussed within the framework of the boundaries drawn by international law.

AMIT SHAH'S DEFENCE OF CITIZENSHIP AMENDMENT BILL 2019 SHAMES EVEN GOEBBELS
The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 (CAB) that promises to open the door for Indian nationality to Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians and Parsis who got into India (on or before December 31, 2014) from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, facing religious persecution, was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on December 9, 2019.  This bill transgressing the fundamental soul of the democratic-secular polity of the country was passed in less than 8 hours due to RSS/BJP rulers enjoying brute majority in Lok Sabha. Sadly, it happened on the eve of International Human Rights Day, the 10th December. It would replace the Citizenship Act, 1955 which made no such distinction. 
It is not difficult to understand that it is the first step in the direction of  bringing in a more monstrous law for scrutinizing citizenship of all existing Indian citizens. The NRC exercise is going to play havoc with crores of Indians specially marginalized and Muslims.
Let us examine the Amit Shah's defence of this Bill in the Indian Parliament and outside one by one.

इस दुखद सच को झुटलाना मुश्किल है कि हमारा देश जिस को दुनिया का सब से बड़ा लोकतंत्र माना जाता है वहां दो तरह की न्यायक पद्धतियां काम करती हैं। एक है जब बहुमत धर्म और ऊंची जातियों से जुड़े लोग/संगठन अल्पसंखयकों और दलितों के खिलाफ हिंसा करते हैं तो  हिंसा करने वाले मुजरिमों को सज़ा मिलना तो दूर की बात है उनकी पहचान भी नहीं हो पाती है।  यह चाहे बांग्ला भाषी मुसलमानों का नेल्ली जनसंहार (1983), सिख जनसंहार (1984०), बाबरी मस्जिद के विध्वंस (से पहले और बाद में 1992-93 के दौरान मुसलमान विरोधी हिंसा), गुजरात जनसंहार (2002), कंधमाल ईसाई जनसंहार (2007) या दलितों के अनगिनित जनसंहारों में से कुछ जैसे कि बथानी टोला (1996),लक्ष्मणपुर बाथे (1997), मिर्चपुर (2010) खैरलांजी (2006) किलवेलमानी (1968) किलविलमणि हों। क़ातिलों, बलात्कारियों और लुटेरों की पहचान नहीं हो पाती है और राज्य आयोग पर आयोग बिठाकर अल्पसंखयक और दलित विरोधी जनसंहारों को रफ़ा-दफ़ा करने के काम में ही जुटा रहता है। 
लेकिन अगर अल्पसंखयकों या दलितों दुवारा 'हिंसा' की गयी हो तो तुरंत फांसी और उम्रक़ैद दे कर 'इंसाफ़' किया जाता है।
यही खेल बाबरी मस्जिद के विध्वंस वाले मामले में खेला जाता रहा और हद तो तब होगई जब भारत की सर्वोच्च अदालत ने 9 नवम्बर 2019 को सर्वसम्मत फैसले से मस्जिद की जगह उन संगठनों/लोगों को देदी जिन्हों ने मस्जिद को 6 दिसंबर 1992 के दिन संसद, सुप्रीम कोर्ट, प्रधान मंत्री को दिए गए आश्वासनों के बावजूद ढा दिया था। सच लेकिन इन्तेहाई दुखद बात है की जिस उद्देश्य को हिन्दुत्वादी आतंकवादी 6 दिसम्बर 1992 के दिन नहीं पर्पट कर पाए थे उसे हमारी अदालत ने प्राप्त करा दिया! 
दिसंबर 6, 1992 के दिन अयोध्या में मस्जिद और मुसलमानों के साथ किया हुवा था इस को जानना ज़रूरी है। देश की प्रजांतरिक-धर्मनिरपेक्ष वयवस्था के साथ हिन्दुत्वादी संगठनों ने जो शर्मनाक खेल खेला था उस की एक रपट पेश है जो नीलिमा शर्मा और शम्सुल इस्लाम ने बाबरी विध्वंस के एक महीने बाद वहां जाकर तैयार की थी।

PREAMBLE Hinduism is believed to be a religion of diversity and tolerance. However, recent events in India, the world's biggest democracy where over 80 percent of the population is of the Hindu faith, demonstrate a sharp decline in religious tolerance and a rise in human rights abuses. Although the Indian Constitution provides for the protection of religious minorities, India has witnessed a substantial rise in religious persecution, mostly against the Muslim minority and the Dalits, since the BJP (Bharathiya Janta Party) government came to power in 2014, (hrw.org, 2019). The Hindutva ideology, as embraced and propagated by the ruling BJP, is believed to be the leading cause behind this course of events. The ideology calls for the establishment of the hegemony of Hindus and the Hindu way of life (Tapas, 2018). The religious propaganda employed by prominent members of the BJP has blurred the distinction between Hinduism and Hindutva. While the objective of Hinduism is to guide human beings towards living a meaningful life, Hindutva aims at capturing political power and establishing a social system based on Hindu practices and customs (Tapas, 2018). This paper intends to explore the incompatibility of the Hindutva ideology with the values of Hinduism. It also intends to demonstrate how both Hinduism and Islam, rather than being a threat to each other, as the adherents of the Hindutva often project, share common values that could contribute towards building a society that upholds human rights and human dignity. The arguments in this paper supports the narrative that, in some circumstances, a return to religious values could be one of the best ways of securing the protection of human dignity and human rights, especially when the letter of the law has become powerless.

DEMOLITION OF DEMOCRATIC-SECULAR INDIAN CONSTITUTION IS OLD PROJECT OF THE HINDUTVA GANG
Many well-meaning liberal and secular political analysts are highly perturbed by the brazen sectarian policy decisions of RSS/BJP rulers led by PM Modi specially after starting his second inning. They are vocal in red-flagging the policies of Modi government on Kashmir, national citizens registry (NRC), murder of constitutional norms in Goa, Karnataka and now in Maharashtra, lynching, Pragya Thakur (first getting her elected to Lok Sabha and then nominating her to high powered 21-MP House Panel on Defence) who is an accused Malegaon Blast case, worships Godse, killer of MK Gandhi as hero and publically stated that it was her curse due to which renowned decorated cop Hemant Karkare  was killed. Shockingly, Hemant was killed by the Pakistani terrorists when former was confronting these heavily armed terrorists on November 26, 2008.

They are greatly mistaken. In fact, it is failure of such friends to understand the real anti-national character of the RSS that India has been taken to such an impasse; on the verge of losing its democratic-secular identity. The belief that RSS cadres gracing the constitutional posts would influence them to be secular or inspire them to get used to practice democratic norms is futile with this lot's diehard commitment to the cause of Hindutva. The fast-forward demolition of the democratic-secular polity of India which is taking place is neither new nor unexpected. Modi as CM of Gujarat while talking to Reuters (July 12, 2013) had declared himself to be 'a Hindu nationalist', the RSS top brass declaring again and again that India is a land for Hindus and by 2020-21 it would be Hindu rashtra with Muslims and Christians cleansed from the land, Indian nationality tied to worshipping of cow and open declaration of the Cabinet ministers that western concepts like secularism would be replaced by the principles of Hindutva.

RSS/BJP CHOICE FOR BHARAT RATNA DECREED MANUSMRITI AS HINDU LAW
The current vociferous campaign for awarding Savarkar Bharat Ratn by Savarkarites claims that this Hindutva 'Veer' was a ‘rationalist Hindu’ a leader who ‘ended the practice of Untouchability’, propagated ‘scientific temper’ and died as an atheist. They also persist in saying that his “outlook was absolutely modern and scientific and secular”. 
It is interesting to note that such protagonists of the Hindutva politics who declare the modern times as kalyug (state of moral decay), atheists as scum of the society, Casteism synonymous with Hinduism and call for scientific temper as foreign conspiracy by Christians and Communists are glorifying these qualities of Savarkar!
However, let us compare these claims of Savarkar being a liberal person with the facts available in the Hindu Mahasabha archives of the times of Savarker.

In more than last three decades, on every anniversary of the 1984 massacre of Sikhs, this author has been reminding the Nation how Indian State and judiciary did not bother to punish the perpetrators of this horrendous mass killing of the innocents of the second largest religious minority of our country. On every anniversary the author hoped that now justice would be done and he would not have to write the painful story once again as a reminder. It has not happened in last one year also; the saga of the criminal betrayal by the Indian Republic has no end and author continues to cry before a deaf and dumb Indian State.
BETRAYAL BY GOVERNMENTS TILL 2014
After giving free run to the killer gangs the government appointed one man Marwah Commission to find out the perpetrators of the 1984 'riots'. As this exercise was proving inconvenient, it was asked to disband itself within short period of its existence and a sitting Supreme Court Judge Ranga Nath Mishra was asked to conduct inquiry into 1984 'riots' who submitted his report in 1987. Shockingly, this fact finding (or fact-hiding) commission headed by Misra observed that
"riots which had a spontaneous origin later attained a channelized method at the hands of gangsters".
The massacre was reduced to 'riots' as if Sikhs equally fought against the others. It was a brazen lie. The 'apostle of justice', Mishra, champion of the theory of spontaneity was not, naturally, able to find out from where these gangsters came! According to Jarnail Singh author of the book I Accuse: The Anti-Sikh Violence of 1984 for this service to the State he was awarded a berth in Rajya Sabha.
Next two decades, not less than nine commissions of inquiry were instituted. For Indian State it became a routine to announce constitution of some new commission or some more compensation to the families of victims in order to deflect the mounting anger at the times of elections. Highlighting the anti-minority bias of such commissions, H. S. Phoolka, a renowned lawyer, commented that instead of getting convicted many of the political perpetrators get promoted as rulers.
In the latest development Supreme Court of India on August 16, 2017 ordered the constitution of a panel comprising two of its former judges to examine the justification for closing 241 anti-Sikh riot cases probed by SIT in next 3 months. It is November 2018 (15 months since the order was passed) and these three months are yet to be over!

MOHAN BHAGWAT'S HEIGHT OF HYPOCRISY ON LYNCHING CRIMES IN INDIA
India has turned into the lynching capital of the world. Our country has been tagged with this infamous identity with Modi becoming PM of India in 2014. Modi rule heralded the beginning of nation-wide spree of the lynching of Dalits and minorities. Unfortunately, there is no government data collection on hate-crimes but few media outlets have been collecting the lynch data. In his first term of 5 years (2014-19) hate crime against minorities and Dalits increased by 90% of religious hate crimes that occurred in the last decade. Soon after Modi was re-elected as the Prime Minister of India on May 23, 2019, he gave a conciliatory speech trying to reassure Muslims, the main target of attacks, but crimes of lynching have increased manifold. According to NDTV these have increased by 1000%.

The history is replete with instances when the democratic polities have been destroyed not by the foreign enemies but inimical forces from within, camouflaged as saviours. Germany's take-over by the Nazi Party led by Hitler and Italy by the Fascist Party led by Mussolini are the living examples of this trend. The Indian polity governed by a democratic-secular constitution passed by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949 seems to be in process of being captured by RSS and its appendages which rule India today. This lot has no hesitation in, unabashedly, declaring that they are in power to convert present Indian constitutional system into a Hindutva exclusionary state. This sinister Hindutva project is declared to be their object despite the fact that these rulers who are mostly cadres of RSS took oath to uphold a democratic-secular constitution.
Blue-eyed boy of both RSS and PM Modi, a minister in latter's cabinet, Anantkumar Hegde addressing an event organised by the Brahman Yuva Parishad in Koppal district of Karnataka declared "We are here to change the Constitution" and decried those who believe in secularism as “people without parentage”.  We have forgotten how many times present RSS boss, Mohan Bhagwat like his predecessors declared India to be a Hindu nation where Hindutva politics will rule.

अगस्त 5, 2020: भारतीय गणतंत्र का ‘वध’
संप्रभु-लोकतांत्रिक भारतीय गणतंत्र 26 जनवरी, 1950 को एक ऐतिहासिक संविधान के साथ अस्तित्व में आया, जिसकी प्रस्तावना में दृढ़ प्रतिबद्धता के साथ यह घोषणा की गई थी कि “न्याय, सामाजिक, आर्थिक और राजनीतिक, विचार, अभिव्यक्ति, विश्वास, धर्म और उपासना की स्वतंत्रता, प्रतिष्ठा और अवसर की समता प्राप्त करने के लिए तथा, उन सबमें व्यक्ति की गरिमा और राष्ट्र की एकता और अखण्डता सुनिश्चित करनेवाले बंधुत्व को बढ़ाने।।।" के लिए.गणतंत्र काम करेगा। 
इस गणतंत्र की 5 अगस्त, 2020 को अयोध्या में बड़े धूमधाम के साथ सार्वजनिक रूप से बलि दी जा रही है । यह मुद्दा उस जगह पर एक भव्य राम मंदिर [मंदिर] के निर्माण का नहीं है जहाँ कभी बाबरी मस्जिद खड़ी थी। मंदिर के निर्माण की वैधता भारत के सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के ‘प्रबंधन सहयोग’से सुनिश्चत की गयी थी। निष्पक्षता, क़ानून और सामान्य-बुद्धि के सभी मानदंडों को धता बताते हुए, सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने यह स्वीकार करने के बावजूद मंदिर के निर्माण को मंज़ूरी दे दी कि अतीत में बाबरी मस्जिद बनाने के लिए किसी भी मंदिर को नष्ट नहीं किया गया था, 22-23 दिसंबर 1949 की रात को मस्जिद में राम लल्ला की मूर्तियों को रखना अवैध था, और 6 दिसंबर 1992 को हिंदुत्ववादी भीड़ द्वारा मस्जिद को नष्ट करना एक आपराधिक कृत्य था। इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है कि सर्वोच्च अदालत को इन सब जानकारियों के बावजूद बाबरी मस्जिद के स्थान पर मंदिर बनाने को न्यायिक मंज़ूरी दे दी गयी।  दिसंबर 1992 को हिंदुत्व की उन्मादी और हिंसक भीड़ जो कुछ हासिल नहीं कर सकी थी, न्यायपालिका के माध्यम से उसे प्राप्त कर लिया गया।

1984 सिख क़त्ले-आम को जाएज़ ठहराने वाले आरएसएस विचारक अब 'भारत रत्न' हैं!
इंसान अभी तक ज़िंदा है,
ज़िंदा होने पर शर्मिंदा है।   
[सांप्रदायिक हिंसा पर नागरिक समाज की चुप्पी पर शाहीद नदीम की पंक्तियाँ। गीत जिस में यह पंक्तियाँ हैं, को लिखने और गाने के जुर्म में नदीम को पाकिस्तान की कठमुल्लावादी ज़िया सरकार ने चालीस कोड़े लगवाए थे।]
लगभग पिछले तीन दशकों से मैं हर नवम्बर महीने के आरम्भ में देश को, 1984 में संयोजित ढंग से किये गए सिखों के क़त्ले-आम के बारे में इस सच्चाई से अवगत करता रहा हूँ की इस शर्मनाक जनसंहार के मुजरिमों को सजा देना तो दूर की बात रही, क़ातिलों की पहचान तक नहीं हो पाई है। देश के दूसरे सब से बड़े धार्मिक अल्पसंखयक सम्प्रदाय के जनसंहार पर प्रजातान्त्रिक-धर्मनिरपेक्ष भारतीय गणतंत्र  और न्यायपालिकाएं सभी मूक दर्शक बनी रहे हैं या मुजरिमों की तलाश का पाखंड किया है। इस क़त्ले-आम की हर बरसी पर में उम्मीद करता था की आने वाले साल में ज़रूर इन्साफ मिल जाएगा और मुझे अगली बार इस दर्दनाक और शर्मनाक कहानी को दोहराना नहीं पड़ेगा। लेकिन पिछले बीते साल भी भारतीय राज्य ने वही अपराधिक रवैये का अनुसरण किया। और मैं एक बार फिर अंधी-गूंगी-बहरी राजसत्ता को शर्म दिलाने का प्रयास कर रहा हूँ। 
2014 तक राजसत्ता के पाखंड का ब्यौरा
1984 नवम्बर के आरम्भ में हत्यारी टोलियों को खुली छूट देने के बाद, देश में राज कर रही राजीव गाँधी की कांग्रेसी सरकार को, विश्वभर में मिल रही धित्कार के बाद इस क़त्लेआम के ज़िम्मेदार आतंकियों के ख़िलाफ़ क़दम उठाने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ा। 'दंगों' की जाँच के लिए एक वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी, वेद  मरवाह के रूप में जाँच आयोग 1984 के अंत में नियुक्त किया गया। जब मरवाह आयोग अपनी विस्फोटक रपट लगभग तैयार कर चुका था, इसे 1985 के  मध्य बर्ख़ास्त कर दिया गया। अब सुप्रीम कोर्ट के एक सेवारत्त वरिष्ठ न्यायधीश, रंगनाथ मिश्र के अध्यक्षता में '1984 दंगों' पर एक नया आयोग बनाया गया। मिश्र आयोग ने 1987 में अपनी रपट पेश करदी।  इस का सब से शर्मनाक पहलू यह था की सरकारी समझ के अनुकूल, मिश्र आयोग ने जिस सच्चाई (या सच्चाई को दबाने) की खोज की उस के अनुसार, "यह दंगे सहज रूप से शुरू हुवे लेकिन बाद में  इस का नेतर्त्व ग़ुंडों के हाथों में आगया।" न्याय की देवी के इस संरक्षक, न्यायधीश मिश्र ने इस क़त्लेआम को 'दंगे' (इस का मतलब होता है जब दोनों ओर से हिंसा हो) 'सहज' घोषित कर दिया। हुक्मरानों ने इस सेवा के लिए उन्हें नवाज़ा भी। कांग्रेसी सरकार ने उन्हें 6 साल के लिए राज्य सभा की ज़ीनत बनने का अवसर दिया।     
अब तक 11 जाँच आयोग बिठाए जा चुके हैं और यह सिलसिला ख़त्म होने की कोई उम्मीद नहीं है। भारतीय राज्य के लिए यह एक रिवाज बन गया है की पंजाब और दिल्ली (जहाँ सिख मतदाताओं की बड़ी तादाद है) में जब भी चुनाव होने वाले हौं तो एक नए आयोग की घोषणा कर दी जाये या क़त्लेआम में मारे गए लोगों के परिवारों को कुछ और मुआवज़ा देने की घोषणा कर दी जाए।  मशहूर वकील, एच एस फूलका जिन्हों ने 1984 के जनसंहार के ज़िम्मेदार तत्वों को सजा दिलाने के लिए बेमिसाल काम किया है, बहुत दुःख के साथ बताते हैं कि इस क़त्लेआम में शामिल बहुत सारे नेता किसी सज़ा के भागी होने के बजाए शासक बन बैठे और वह भी इस वजह से की उन्हों ने इस जनसंहार में हिस्सा लिया था।   
यह शर्मनाक खेल किस तरह लगातार खेला जा रहा है इस का अंदाज़ा इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि अगस्त 16, 2017 सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपने 2 भूतपूर्व न्यायधीशों वाली समिति गठित की थी जिस ने 1984 की हिंसा के 241 मामलों के बंद किये जाने की 3 महीने के भीतर जाँच करके रपट देनी थी। नवम्बर 2019 आ पहुंचा है लेकिन 3 महीने ख़त्म होने का नाम नहीं ले रहे हैं!

आरएसएस/भाजपा के भारत-रत्न उम्मीदवार सावरकर ने 1942 में मुस्लिम लीग के साथ साझा सरकारों चलाईं
विनायक दामोदर सावरकर की अध्यक्षता में हिंदू महासभा ने 1942 में अंग्रेज़ों भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन का दमन करने के लिए निर्लज्जता पूर्वक अपने अंग्रेज़ आक़ाओं का साथ दिया था। बरतानिया साम्राज्य के साथ उनका यह 'उत्तरदायी सहयोग' महज़ सैद्धांतिक क़ौल तक ही सीमित नहीं था। हिंदू महासभा और  मुस्लिम लीग गठबंधन के रूप में भी यह सामने आया था। यह वह वक़्त था जब कांग्रेस सहित सभी राजनीतिक संगठनों पर प्रतिबंध थे, केवल हिंदू महासभा और मुस्लिम लीग पर कोर्इ प्रतिबंध नहीं था।  यही समय था जिस समय हिंदुत्व टोली के "वीर" सावरकर के नेतृत्व में हिंदू महासभा ने मुस्लिम लीग के साथ मिलकर गठबंधन सरकारें चलाईं। हिंदू महासभा के कानपुर अधिवेशन में  सावरकर ने अध्यक्षीय भाषण में इस सांठगांठ की पैरवी इन लफ्ज़ों में की थी :

"व्यावहारिक राजनीति में भी हिंदू महासभा जानती है कि बुद्धिसम्मत समझौतों के जरिए आगे बढ़ना चाहिए। यहां सिंध हिंदू महासभा ने निमंत्रण के बाद मुस्लिम लीग के साथ मिली जुली सरकार चलाने की जिम्मेदारी ली। बंगाल का उदाहरण भी सबको पता है। उद्दंड लीगी जिन्हें कांग्रेस अपनी तमाम आत्मसमर्पणशीलता के बावजूद खुश नहीं रख सकी, हिंदू महासभा के साथ संपर्क में आने के बाद काफी तर्कसंगत समझौतों और सामाजिक व्यवहार के लिए तैयार हो गये। और वहां की मिली-जुली सरकार मिस्टर फजलुल हक को प्रधानमंत्रित्व और महासभा के काबिल व मान्य नेता श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी के नेतृत्व में दोनों समुदाय के फायदे के लिए एक साल तक सफलतापूर्वक चली।"

सावरकर ने स्वीकार किया कि बंगाल में मुस्लिम लीग के नेतृत्व में गठित मंत्रीमंडल में हिंदू महासभा के दूसरे सब से बड़े नेता डॉ.श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी मंत्रीमंडल में उप-मुख्य थे। मुखर्जी के अधीन ही वह मंत्रालय भी था, जिसके जिम्मे भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन का दमन करना था। इस समय हिंदू महासभा और मुस्लिम लीग की साझा सरकार बंगाल और सिंध के अलावा उत्तर पश्चिम सीमा प्रांत(सरहदी सूबा) में भी थी।

ایودھیا میں’ تاریخ کی غلطی‘ کو درست کیا گیا: اب مودی سرکار پوری کے جگناتھ مندر کو بودھ مذہب کے ماننے والوں کے حوالے کرے!!

آر ایس ایس کے پرچارک، کٹر سنگھی نریندر مودی کی ذاتی قیادت میں چل رہی آر ایس ایس-بی
جے پی کی موجودہ حکومت138 کروڑ ہندوستانیوں (جن میں سے 80 فیصد ہندو ہیں) کو روزگار ، تعلیم ، تحفظ اور امن وسکون کی فراہمی میں بری طرح سے ناکام ہوچکی ہے، لیکن اہل وطن کے دل بہلانے کے لیے 5  اگست  (2020) کو اس کے پاس ایک اچھی خبر تھی۔ قرون وسطیٰ کےکسی بادشاہ کے لباس میں ملبوس، ایک ہندو رِشی نظرآنے کی تمنا لیے ، زعفرانی لبادہ لپیٹےوزیر اعظم نے، ایودھیا میں رام مندر کا سنگ بنیاد رکھتے ہوئے یہ اعلان کیا کہ دنیا بھر کے ہندوؤں کی دیرینہ خواہش پوری ہوگئی،  بھگوان رام کی جائے پیدائش جسے تباہ کرنے کے لیے سیکڑوں برسوں سے کوششیں کی جارہی تھیں، آخرکار وہ آزاد ہوگئی۔بقول ان کےمندر کی بنیادمیں جس وقت سنگ ِبنیاد رکھا جارہا تھا، ہندوستان ایک ’’سنہرا باب‘‘ رقم کر رہا تھا۔ یہ سمجھنا ذرابھی مشکل نہیں تھا کہ بھارت سے مراد خود وہ تھے۔ انہوں نے اعلان کیا کہ ’’آج رام جنم بھومی صدیوں سے چلے آرہے انہدام اور احیاء کے سلسلے سے آزاد ہوگئی۔‘‘

گوسوامی تلسی داس پر سوالیہ نشان
    ہمارے وزیر اعظم نریندر مودی اکثر جھوٹ بولتے پائے جاتے ہیں۔بابری مسجد کی تعمیر کے لئے رام کی جائے پیدائش کے انہدام سے متعلق بھی انھوں نے جھوٹ کا سہارا لیا۔ انہوں نے اس کے بارے میں جو کہا وہ آر ایس ایس کی شاکھاؤں میں وضع کردہ ’حقائق‘ ہیں جن کا عصری ’ہندو‘ دستاویزات اور ماخذ میں بھی کوئی ذکر نہیں ہے۔ ان کے مطابق ، ایودھیا میں رام مندر کو لے کرہندوؤں اور مسلمانوں کے مابین تقریبا پانچ صدیوں سےمسلسل جنگ چلی آرہی تھی۔
مخالفین (مسلمانوں) پر فتح کی شیخی بگھارتے وقت،مودی نے اودھی زبان میں تصنیف کردہ گوسوامی تلسی داس کے رزمیہ مہاکاویہ ’شری رام چرِت مانَس‘ کو مکمل طور پر نظر انداز کردیا۔ یہ وہی مہاکاویہ ہے، جس نے بھگوان رام کی کہانی کو مقبول کرکے ہر ہندوکے، خاص طور پر شمالی ہندوستان کے، من مندر میں جاگزیں کردیا ہے۔ گوسوامی تلسی داس نے اس مہاکاویہ کو 1575–76 میں تصنیف کیا تھا۔ ہندتووادیوں کے دعوے کے مطابق، رام کی جائے پیدائش کا مندر 1538-1539 کے دوران تباہ کردیا گیا تھا۔ تب، اس مندرکے مبینہ انہدام کے تقریباً 37 سال کے بعدتحریر کردہ ’شری رام چرِت مانَس‘ میں اس انہدام کا ذکر ہونا چاہیے تھا، لیکن ’شری رام چرِت مانَس‘ میں ایسا کوئی ذکر نہیں ہے۔
یہ سب کرکےکیا ہندتو ٹھیکیدار جن کی قیادت مودی کررہے ہیں، یہ ظاہر کرنے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں کہ رام اور ان کے ’دربار‘ کے سب سے بڑے راوی اور عقیدت مند، تلسی داس نے اپنے تاریخی کام میں جان بوجھ کر حقیقت نہیں بتائی؟ کیا یہ گوسوامی تلسی داس کی معتبریت پر سوال اٹھانے کی کوشش نہیں ہے؟ کیا ہندتو کے ٹھیکیدار یہ کہنے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں کہ گوسوامی تلسی داس رام کی جائے پیدائش پر انہدامِ مندر کے موضوع پر کسی خفیہ مقصد سے خاموش رہ گئے؟
یہاں یہ جاننا مناسب ہوگا کہ گوسوامی تلسی داس کےتین قریبی افراد نے اپنی سوانح عمری تحریر کی ہیں، لیکن ان میں بھی رام کی جائے پیدائش پر کسی مسجد کی تعمیر کا ذکر نہیں ہے۔
سپریم کورٹ کے فیصلے کی توہین
رام جنم بھومی’’انہدام اور احیاء کے صدیوں پرانے سلسلے سے آزادہوئی‘‘،یہ دعویٰ کرکے وزیر اعظم ایودھیا سے متعلق 9 نومبر 2019 کو سپریم کورٹ کی جانب سے کئے گئے فیصلے کی علی الاعلان دھجیاں اڑا رہے تھے۔  اپنےاس فیصلے میں، عدالت نے کہا ہے کہ بابری مسجد کسی مندر کو مسمار کرکے نہیں بنائی گئی تھی۔ 22/23 دسمبر 1949 کی آدھی رات کو رام للا کا مجسمہ رکھنا غیرقانونی تھا اور 6 دسمبر 1992 کو ایودھیا میں بابری مسجد کا انہدام ’’قانون کی حکمرانی کی سنگین خلاف ورزی‘‘ تھا۔ اسی فیصلے نے اس حقیقت کی بھی نشاندہی کی ہے کہ ’’مسلمانوں کوغیر منصفانہ طریقے سے ایک مسجد سے محروم کیا گیا ہے، جو 450 سال پہلےباقاعدہ تعمیر کی گئی تھی‘‘۔ درحقیقت، ایودھیا میں وزیر اعظم کی تقریر کے لئے، ان کے خلاف توہین عدالت کا مقدمہ چل سکتا ہے۔

ہم نے دیکھا کہ کس طرح  ایک بے بنیاد اور مفروضہ کہانی کی بنا پربابری مسجد کی جگہ ایک عظیم الشان رام مندر تعمیر کیا جارہا ہے۔ نریندر مودی کی آر ایس ایس-بی جے پی حکومت کا دعوی ہے کہ وہ ماضی کی غلطیوں کو دور کرنے کے لئے پرعزم ہے۔ ہمیں یہ نہیں بھولنا چاہئے کہ اس سے متعلق بہت سے سنجیدہ پہلو ہیں جن کو نظرانداز نہیں کیا جاسکتا۔ اس کا سب سے بڑا مسئلہ یہ ہے کہ ہندوستانی تہذیب ، جسے خود آر ایس ایس کم از کم 5000 سال قدیم بتاتا ہے، اس میں سے صرف 700-800 سال کی مدت [جب ہندوستان پر حکومت کرنے / حملہ کرنے والے مسلم نام  والے رہے] کو غلطیوں کو درست کرنے کے لئے منتخب کیا گیا ہے۔ باقی 4200-4300 سالوں کی طرح جب مسلمان ہندوستان نہیں پہنچے تھے، سب ٹھیک تھا۔ آئیے، ہم ملک کی تاریخ میں ہونے والی ناانصافیوں سے متعلق خود’ہندو‘ماخذ کیا بتاتے ہیں، اس کا جائزہ لیتے ہیں۔
اس تناظر میں، یہ جاننا ضروری ہے کہ آر ایس ایس / ہندتو کے سب سے اہم مفکر اور آر ایس ایس کے دوسرے سربراہ، ایم ایس گولولکر نے محمود غزنوی کے ذریعہ 1025-26 میں سومناتھ مندر کی تباہی کے بارے میں کیا لکھا تھا:
’’ایک ہزار سال پہلے، ہمارے لوگوں نےہم پر حملہ کرنے  کے لیے غیر ملکیوں کو دعوت دی۔ آج بھی ایسا ہی خطرہ ہمارے اوپرمنڈلا رہا ہے۔ کس طرح سومناتھ کے عظیم الشان مندر کی بے حرمتی کی گئی  اور مسمار کیا گیا، یہ تو تاریخ کی بات ہوچکی ہے۔ محمودغازی(غزنوی) نے سومناتھ کی دولت اور شان و شوکت کے بارے میں سنا تھا۔ اس نے خیبر دَرّے کو عبور کیا اور سومناتھ کی دولت لوٹنے کے لئے ہندوستان میں قدم رکھا۔ اسے صحرا کا بھاری جنگل عبور کرنا پڑا۔ ایک وقت ایسا بھی تھا جب اس کے پاس اپنی فوج اور اپنے آپ کے لئے بھی غذا اور پانی نہیں تھا۔ اسے اس کے مقدر پر چھوڑ دیا گیا ہوتا تو وہ ختم ہو گیا ہوتا اور راجستھان کی گرم ریت  نے اس کی ہڈیوں کو جلاکر راکھ کردیا ہوتا۔لیکن نہیں، محمود غزنی (غزنوی) نے مقامی سرداروں کو یہ باور کرایا کہ سوراشٹر کے حکمراں اس کے خلاف توسیع پسندانہ عزئم رکھتے ہیں، انھوں نے اپنی حماقت اور تنگ دلی کی وجہ سے اس پر یقین کر لیا اور وہ اس کے ساتھ ہولیے۔ جب محمودغازی(غزنوی) نے مہان مندر پر حملہ کیا تو وہ ہندو تھے ، ہمارے لہوکے لہو، ہماری ہڈیاں اور گوشت، ہماری روح کی روح جو اس کی فوج کے ہراول تھے۔ سومناتھ کو ہندوؤں کےفعال تعاون سے ناپاک کیا گیا۔ یہ تاریخ کے حقائق ہیں۔‘‘

اگر آر ایس ایس-بی جے پی حکومت ہندوستان کے ماضی میں کی گئی مذہبی ناانصافیوں کو درست کرنےکے تئیں واقعی سنجیدہ ہیں، تو انہیں پوری میں جگناتھ مندرکو بدھسٹوں کے حوالے کرنے کے لئے فوری طور پر کام شروع کردینا چاہئے۔ آر ایس ایس سوامی ویویکانند کو ہندتو کی سیاست اور احیاء پسند ہندو بھارت کا رہنما مانتی ہے۔ انہوں نے ہندوستان کے عظیم ماضی کے بارے میں بہت کچھ بتایا ہے۔ انہوں نے واضح طور پر کہا ہے کہ پوری کا جگناتھ مندر اصل میں بدھ مندر تھا۔ ان کے اعتراف کے مطابق،
’’ہر ایک کے لئے جو ہندوستانی تاریخ کے بارے میں جانتا ہے ... جگنّاتھ ایک قدیم بودھ مندر ہے۔ ہم نے اسے اور دوسروں کو بھی اپنے کنٹرول میں لیا اور ان کا ہندوکرَن کردیا۔ ہمیں ابھی اس طرح کے بہت سے کام کرنے ہوں گے۔ ‘‘

ہندتو ٹولی کے ایک اور بہت ہی پیارے بنکم چندر چٹرجی [’آنندمھو‘ اور ’وندے ماترم‘ کے مصنف]ہیں جو اسی حقیقت کی تصدیق کرتے ہیں۔ ان کے مطابق،  جگناتھ مندر کا ایک جزو لاینفک’رتھ یاترا‘ اصل میں بدھ مت کی ایک رسم تھی جو بدھ مت کے مندر کے ہندوکَرن کے بعد جاری رکھی گئی۔ بنکم چندر چٹرجی نے لکھا :
’’جنرل کننگھم(Cunningham) نے’ بھلسا ٹاپس‘‘ نامی اپنے مشہور کتاب میں رتھ اتسو (جگناتھ مندر سے متعلق) کی ابتدا کی جوتفصیل بیان کی ہے، اس کے تناظر میں مجھے ایک اور انتہائی مستند کہانی معلوم ہے۔ اس میں وہ بدھ مذہب کے اسی طرح کے جشن کے بارے میں بتاتے ہیں، جس میں بدھ مت کی تین علامتوں، بدھ ، دھرمّا اور سنگھ کی نمائندگی ایک ہی شکل میں ایک گاڑی میں کی گئی تھی، اور میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ وقت بھی وہی ہے جب رتھ (یاترا) نکلتا ہے۔ اس وضاحت کے حق میں میرے پاس ایک حقیقت ہے کہ جگناتھ، بلرام اور سبھدرا ، جن کی جھانکی اب رتھ میں دکھائی جاتی ہے ، بدھ ، دھرمّا اور سنگھ ہی کی تقریباً نقل ہیں۔ ‘‘

دراصل، یہ صرف پوری مندر ہی نہیں ہے جس کا ہندوکرَن کیا گیا۔ آریہ سماج کے بانی سوامی دیانند سرسوتی نے’ستیارتھ پرکاش‘ میں شنکراچاریہ کی تعریف کرتے ہوئے کہا:
’’دس سال تک انھوں (شنکراچاریہ) نے ملک کا دورہ کیا، جین مت کی تردید کی اور ویدک دھرم کو پھیلایا۔ زمین سے جو بھی ٹوٹی ہوئی مورتیاں کھودکر نکالی جاتی ہیں، وہ شنکر کے زمانے میں توڑی گئی تھیں اور کھدائی کے دوران جہاں سالم مورتیاں یہاں وہاں نکلتی ہیں، توڑے  جانے کے خوف سے جینیوں (جنھوں نے جین مت چھوڑ دیا تھا) ہی نے زمین میں دفن کر دی تھیں۔ ‘‘

ہندتو حکمراں جو بدھ مت اور جین مت جیسے مذاہب کو سودیسی مان کراپنائیت کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہیں، انہیں چاہیے کہ جین مندروں اور بودھ ویہاروں کوجلد از جلد ان مذاہب کے پیروکاروں کے حوالے کرنے کا آغاز کریں۔

प्रज्ञा ठाकुर का ही नहीं, गोडसे से आरएसएस का पुराना मोह है : इंतज़ार करें कब इस की मूर्ती संसद भवन में प्रतिष्ठित की जाएगी!
हमारे देश में तवलीन सिंह जैसे 'भोले-भाले' राजनैतिक विश्लेषकों/पत्रकारों की कमी नहीं है जो प्रधान मंत्री, मोदी के नेतर्त्व में आरएसएस/भाजपा शासकों के जनता और देश विरोधी विघटनकारी विचारों और कार्यकलापों के प्रति सजग हो उठे हैं। यह अच्छी बात है।  हालांकि सच यह है की हिन्दुत्वादी शासकों की टोली जो खिलवाड़ प्रजातान्त्रिक-धर्मनिरपेक्ष गणतंत्र और इस की जनता के साथ आज कर रही है वे आरएसएस की पुरानी हिन्दुत्वादी नीतियों का ही अनुसरण है। मोदी के प्रधान मंत्री बनने के बाद (जिस पद को ग्रहण करते हुवे उन्हों ने देश के प्रजातान्त्रिक-धर्मनिरपेक्ष ढांचे को सुरक्षित रखने की शपथ ली थी), उनकी जुमले-बाज़ियों से अर्जित की गयी लोकप्रियता के सहारे आरएसएस के राष्ट्र विरोधी मूल एजन्डे को देश पर थोपने में काफ़ी  तेज़ी आयी है।   
एक ताज़ातरीन उधारण मालेगांव बम धमाकों में नामजद आरोपी प्रज्ञा ठाकुर का है जिन्हों ने अब संसद के भीतर गांधीजी के हत्यारे, गोडसे को 'देशभक्त' बताया। यह वही साध्वी हैं जिन्हें आरएसएस/भाजपा ने संसदीय चुनाव 2019 में भोपाल से खड़ा किया था। प्रचार के दौरान भी इस गोडसे भक्त ने इस हत्यारे को 'देशभक्त' बताया था। इन के इस ब्यान पर मोदी ने नाराज़गी जताई थी और कहा था की वे प्रज्ञा को ऐसा कहने के लिए माफ़ नहीं करेंगे। प्रधान मंत्री मोदी ऐसा कहते हुवे फिर एक बार केवल जुमलेबाज़ी कर रहे थे, इस का पता भी जल्द ही चल गया। प्रज्ञा को लोक सभा की एक अति महत्पूर्ण समिति (रक्षा मामलों की समिति) में भाजपा की और सदस्य मनोनीत किया गया।

भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन 1942 से ग़द्दारी की कहानी; आरएसएस और सावरकर की ज़बानी 
कांग्रेस का आह्वान
इस 8 अगस्त 2020 को भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के एक अहम मील के पत्थर, ऐतिहासिक ‘भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन’ जिसे 'अगस्त क्रांति' भी कहा जाता है को 78 साल पूरे हो जायेंगे। 7 अगस्त 1942 को अखिल भारतीय कांग्रेस समिति ने बम्बई में अपनी बैठक में एक क्रांतिकारी प्रस्ताव पारित किया जिसमें अंग्रेज शासकों से तुरंत भारत छोड़ने की मांग की गयी थी। अंग्रेज शासन से लोहा लेने के लिए स्वयं गांधीजी ने ‘करो या मरो’ ब्रह्म वाक्य सुझाया और सरकार एवं सत्ता से पूर्ण असहयोग करने का आह्वान किया। कांग्रेस का यह मानना था कि अंग्रेज सरकार को भारत की जनता को विश्वास में लिए बिना किसी भी जंग में भारत को झोंकने का नैतिक और कानूनी अधिकार नहीं है। अंग्रेजों से भारत तुरंत छोड़ने का यह प्रस्ताव कांग्रेस द्वारा एक ऐसे नाजुक समय में लाया गया था जब दूसरे विश्वयुद्ध के चलते जापानी सेनाएं भारत के पूर्वी तट तक पहुंच चुकी थी और कांग्रेस ने अंग्रेज शासकों द्वारा सुझाई ‘क्रिप्स योजना’ को खारिज कर दिया था। ‘अंग्रेजो भारत छोड़ो’ प्रस्ताव के साथ-साथ कांग्रेस ने गांधी जी को इस आंदोलन का सर्वेसर्वा नियुक्त किया और देश के आम लोगों से आह्वान किया कि वे हिंदू-मुसलमान का भेद त्याग कर सिर्फ हिदुस्तानी के तौर पर अंग्रेजी साम्राज्यवाद से लड़ने के लिए एक हो जाएं।

'अंग्रेज़ों भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन' के दौरान देश-भक्त हिन्दुस्तानियों की क़ुर्बानियां
भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन की घोषणा के साथ ही पूरे देश में क्रांति की एक लहर दौड़ गयी। अगले कुछ महीनों में देश के लगभग हर भाग में अंग्रेज सरकार के विरुद्ध आम लोगों ने जिस तरह लोहा लिया उससे 1857 के भारतीय जनता के पहले मुक्ति संग्राम की यादें ताजा हो गईं। 1942 के भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन ने इस सच्चाई को एक बार फिर रेखांकित किया कि भारत की आम जनता किसी भी कुर्बानी से पीछे नहीं हटती है। अंग्रेज शासकों ने दमन करने में कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ी। 9 अगस्त की सुबह से ही पूरा देश एक फौजी छावनी में बदल दिया गया। गांधीजी समेत कांग्रेस के बड़े नेताओं को तो गिरफ्तार किया ही गया दूरदराज के इलाकों में भी कांग्रेसी कार्यकर्ताओं को भयानक यातनाएं दी गईं।
सरकारी दमन और हिंसा का ऐसा तांडव देश के लोगों ने झेला जिसके उदाहरण कम ही मिलते हैं। स्वयं सरकारी आंकड़ों के अनुसार पुलिस और सेना द्वारा सात सौ से भी ज्यादा जगह गोलाबारी की गई जिसमें ग्यारह सौ से भी ज्यादा लोग शहीद हो गए। शहीदों की यह तादाद सफ़ेद झूट थी। पुलिस और सेना ने आतंक मचाने के लिए बलात्कार और कोड़े लगाने का बड़े पैमाने पर प्रयोग किया। भारत में किसी भी सरकार द्वारा इन कथकंडों का इस तरह का संयोजित प्रयोग 1857 के बाद शायद पहली बार ही किया गया था।
अंग्रेज सरकार के भयानक बर्बर और अमानवीय दमन के बावजूद देश के आम हिंदू मुसलमानों और अन्य धर्म के लोगों ने हौसला नहीं खोया और सरकार को मुंहतोड़ जवाब दिया। यह आंदोलन ‘अगस्त क्रांति’ क्यों कहलाता है इसका अंदाजा उन सरकारी आंकड़ों को जानकर लगाया जा सकता है जो जनता की इस आंदोलन में कार्यवाहियों का ब्योरा देते हैं। सरकारी आंकड़ों के अनुसार 208 पुलिस थानों, 1275 सरकारी दफ्तरों, 382 रेलवे स्टेशनों और 945 डाकघरों को जनता द्वारा नष्ट कर दिया गया। जनता द्वारा हिंसा बेकाबू होने के पीछे मुख्य कारण यह था कि पूरे देश में कांग्रेसी नेतृत्व को जेलों में डाल दिया गया था और कांग्रेस संगठन को हर स्तर पर गैर कानूनी घोषित कर दिया गया था। कांग्रेसी नेतृत्व के अभाव में अराजकता का होना बहुत गैर स्वाभाविक नहीं था। यह सच है कि नेतृत्व का एक बहुत छोटा हिस्सा गुप्त रूप से काम कर रहा था परंतु आमतौर पर इस आंदोलन का स्वरूप स्वतः स्फूर्त बना रहा।
जिन्नाह, सावरकर और आरएसएस का विरोध में अँगरेज़ सरकार के साथ आना
यह जानकर किसी को भी आश्चर्य नहीं होना चाहिए कि दमनकारी अंग्रेज सरकार का इस आंदोलन के दरम्यान जिन तत्वों और संगठनों ने प्यादों के तौर पर काम किया वे हिंदू और इस्लामी राष्ट्र के झंडे उठाए हुए थे। ये सच है कि भारतीय कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी ने भी भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन से अलग रहने का निर्णय लिया था। इसके बारे में सबको जानकारी है। लेकिन आज के देशभक्तों के नेताओं ने किस तरह से न केवल इस आंदोलन से अलग रहने का फैसला किया था बल्कि इसको दबाने में गोरी सरकार की सीधी सहायता की थी जिस बारे में बहुत कम जानकारी है।........

संशोधित नागरिकता क़ानून के पक्ष में गृह-मंत्री अमितशाह के सफ़ेद झूठ
नागरिकता (संशोधन) क़ानून, 2019 के जरिए उन हिंदुओं, सिखों, बौद्धों, ईसाइयों और पारसियों को  भारत की नागरिकता प्रदान करने का रास्ता प्रशस्त किया जा रहा है, जो अफगानिस्तान, बांग्लादेश और पाकिस्तान में धार्मिक उत्पीड़न से त्रस्त होकर 31 दिसंबर, 2014 को या उससे पहले,भारत आ चुके हैं। इस विधेयक को देश के गृह मंत्री अमितशाह ने  9 दिसंबर, 2019 को लोकसभा में पेश किया है।
यह विधेयक लोकसभा में आरएसएस/भाजपा को हासिल विशाल बहुमत की बदौलत बिना किसी परेशानी के, फ़कत आठ घंटे से भी कम समय में पारित हो गया। 2 दिन बाद, 11 दिसम्बर को राज्य सभा ने केवल 6 घंटों में इस बिल को मंज़ूरी देकर क़ानून बनाने का रास्ता साफ़ कर दिया।  इस तरह आरएसएस/भाजपा शासकों  ने संविधान की मूल-आत्मा, देश की लोकतांत्रिक-धर्मनिरपेक्ष चरित्र और  उसकी बुनियाद पर गहरा आघात किया है। अधिक अफसोस जनक है कि अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मानवाधिकार दिवस (10 दिसंबर) के आसपास इस कुकृत्य को अंजाम दिया गया। नागरिकता क़ानून, 1955 में नागरिकता के लिए धार्मिक अधार जैसा भेदभाव-पूर्ण कोर्इ प्रावधान नहीं
था अब निरस्त हो गया है।
यह समझना ज़रा भी मुश्किल नहीं है कि यह तो अभी शुरुआत है। देश में मौजूद नागरिकों की नागरिता की जाँच के लिए और और  भी भयानक क़ानून कानून जल्द ही आने वाले हैं। भारतीय राष्ट्रीय नागरिक रजिस्टर(NRC)के लिए जारी कवायद के तहत करोड़ों भारतीय, विशेष रूप से दलित, वंचित समाज और  मुस्लिम अवाम पर जुल्मो-कहर ढहाने की तैयारियां हैं।
गृह मंत्री अमित शाह इस विधेयक के बचाव में संसद के भीतर और  संसद बाहर जिन दलीलों को पेश कर हैं आइए जरा उन तर्कों की जांच की जाए।

ये वे सवाल हैं जो हिन्दुत्वादी गिरोह से पूछे जाने चाहिएं
जब भी मैं लोकतांत्रिक-धर्मनिरपेक्ष भारत की रक्षा में अल्पसंख्यकों, दलितों, महिलाओं और मजदूर वर्ग के उत्पीड़न के खिलाफ लिखता हूं, मेरे द्वारा उठाए गए मुद्दों और सवालों का जवाब देने के बजाए हिंदुत्व टोली जवाब देने के बजाय मुझ पर वयक्तिगत हमले करते हैं जिनका एक ही मक़सद होता है की मुझे अपमानित किया जाए. उनके लिए मेरा नाम और धर्म द्वेषी हमलों का मुख्य लक्ष्य बन जाता है. मुझे और मेरे परिवार पर गालियों की बौछार की जाती है. हिंदुत्व गिरोह इस मुद्दे को सांप्रदायिक बनाने की कोशिश करता है. इन हमलों के अनुसार मुस्लमान और इस्लाम धर्म भारत और विश्व में हर बुराई के कारण हैं. इस तरह के हमलों से निपटने के लिए मैंने भारतीय और विश्व इतिहास की घटनाओं की एक सूची तैयार की है. मैं इस सूची पर उनकी प्रतिक्रिया चाहता हूं। मैं इसे दोस्तों के साथ साझा कर रहा हूं ताकि जब भी हिंदुत्ववादी फासीवादी मुस्लिम नामों वाले धर्मनिरपेक्ष कार्यकर्ताओं पर हमला करंे तो इस सूची के साथ इस गिरोह का सामना करें। वास्तव में, यह सूची उन सभी लोगों के लिए एक संसाधन सामग्री के रूप में काम कर सकती है जो हिंदुत्व गिरोह के ध्रुवीकरण के एजेंडे को उजागर करना चाहते हैं।
